^^ You did the right thing and there is nothing wrong with that. It's wrong to take advantage of drunk girls, and you should be proud that you were able to do the right think instead of just following the crowd. She may not realize it now, but later on she will and if she has any maturity at all, will respect you for what you did (or didn't do). As for the other guys, they sound like complete assholes. Try not to worry about what they think of you. Just because they are doing something that is wrong, doesn't mean they have the right to get down on you for telling them not to. As for the shy girl, if you can verify that she's single, you might have a chance. For starting conversations, try to stay away from the typical "hey what's going on?" That often comes across as being too forward with them. Listen in on conversations she has with her friends and wait for the right moment to join in. It works for me!

^^ I've been in that situation for years. Still no girlfriend. Do you have someone in mind who you want to ask out? If so, that can be a sign of hope, and if you have nobody on your mind, well, I know how that feeling goes. If you do have someone in mind, by all means, make sure she doesn't have a boyfriend already. There have been too many times when I have asked out a girl and it turns out they already are taken. In one case, the girl even faked having a boyfriend just because she didn't want to say no, but at the same time was not interested. If you're depressed because of feeling lonely, well I don't know what to say. I am in this very situation myself and I get depressed when I see other guys with girlfriends. By any means if this is true for you, do not go to Disneyland to cheer you up. I saw more young couples there at DLR 2 months ago than I saw when I was in Hawaii last summer - and our hotel room on the beach in Hawaii was freaking overlooking a wedding one night.

With all of this talk about the Dark Knight coming to the park since it was cancelled at SFNE, I think this is highly unlikely. First of all, they planned the coaster before SF canceled TDK. This would mean they are not bringing in one from a failed project. If TDK ever comes to SFMM, it will be in addition to the new for 2009 coaster being discussed.

Try back next week. At your age, what happens never lasts. Seriously, I look back on when I was that age and just laugh at all the ridiculous drama that resulted from situations like yours. I doubt the girls assume you're gay because you are not necessarily talkative around them though. They are probably just as shy as you and are waiting for you to make a move. If you want my honest opinion, stay out of drama like this at your age and wait a couple more years before trying again. I wanted a girlfriend when I was your age and I still have never had one because I am so shy. Don't be too hard on yourself. Wait for girls to mature a bit, then when high school comes along, you will have a better chance. If you get to be my age and still have not had a girlfriend yet, then you have a reason to be worried.

From the coasters I have ridden, probably either Tatsu, or Medusa (SFDK). If not, then Millennium Force or El Toro. For the girl, I call Mary Elizabeth Winstead! Now if I could ride my last roller coaster with her...

I know, how can you not like Sandstorm! They played Sandstorm in X's queue? Unless I'm crazy, it only played in Scream's queue...along with Feel The Beat. God, Darude makes the best coaster music ;D. AND crystal method. Sandstorm was not played in X. It is played in Scream's queue along with songs from the rest of the album (Darude - Before the Storm). X had 4 songs. The two songs by The Crystal Method, one by New Order & Pump Panel, and the last one by Dream Wave (a.k.a. Sam Punk). Actually, Omnibus is a rip-off of Sandstorm. You see, Sandstorm came in 1999, and Omnibus came in 2001. It is obvious where the influence came from. As a techno fan (and creator), I would like to hear some of Darude's newer songs like those from his latest albums "Rush" and "Label This!" played more - some of which are better than Sandstorm. I think instead of the common 4/4 beat techno played here in the US, X2 should adapt some hardstyle European electronic trance songs by artists such as Pierre Pienaar, Ralph Novell, Alphazone, Dave Joy, etc. Heck, they could even use one of the songs I have created. for X2. New speakers with better bass are a necessity for the ride!

Assuming they haven't nixed the hand stamp re-entry policy, you and your group could bring the coolers in the car, leave them there, and go out to the parking lot and eat at your car for lunch. My family and I did that several times at SFDK. It works great if you want a cheap day.

Nice in depth TR! I am looking forward to my first ever trip to the park in 61 days. If you hadn't mentioned it, I would have thought those photoshop pictures were real. SFMM did the same thing last year with X when my brother and I were in line and somebody lost their sunglasses on the ride.

Slowly? At least 4 have been destroyed in the past 2 years. I will be going there on June 23 - 24.

The day Cedar Fail sells the park to another operator, will be the day they can redeem themselves for what they have done to this park. When I was at the park a few weeks ago, I took the time to go all around and it felt like a completely different park when you go from Ghost Town (pre CF) to Boardwalk (Post CF). All that concrete, trash cans, and coasters. The least they could do to that area is to paint Xcelerator and give some more colors to the area like when WindJammer was there. The red, white, and blue is overwhelming in a bad way in that corner. Paint Xcel red and yellow like Windjammer was (TTD's colors!) Did I mention trash cans? There were higher density of them in some places than people. Surprisingly, when I actually needed one, to throw away my drink while in line for PP, there wasn't a single one to be found. And just to add, it was bad enough they put in Sierra Sidewinder, which in my opinion is a horrible ride. Pony express is just going to dig them into a deeper hole than with SS.
