  1. That sounds like something I would like! I just watched Into The Wild. For those of you who don't know, it's based on the true story of a young man who left society, traveled for a few years by "living off the land" before finally going to the Alaskan wilderness. Great movie. Very emotional in the second half of the film. 8/10
  2. Darksin, thank you so much for sharing those stores. They really brightened this gloomy day I'm having. They are absolutely hilarious. I didn't even know it was possible for people to be such morons. *waits for more stories from Darksin*
  3. Ah yes, the cheerleader day st SFDK was certainly enjoyable for my friends and me who were also there that day. Especially on the water rides! But the idea of professional SF cheerleaders? Ugh, I don't want to see how this would turn out.
  4. This is just downright depressing to see what Cedar Fair has done to this once great park. CF has removed the "Great" from the Great America.
  5. That's probably the motivation for some guys to get a job as a ride op for the ride.
  6. 2 Unlimited - Tribal Dance
  7. Bringing back a topic from the dead, but I have one question. Is it possible to purchase a regular 1-day admission ticket and use it to upgrade to a season pass at a later date? I'm asking this because a friend and I were planning to go to SFDK today to get our season passes, but I applied for a job at the park and I do not want to blow off $70 if I end up working there which can get me in for free. This way I can pay half of the price to get in today, and if I don't get the job I can come back and just pay the price difference for the season pass. Thanks in advance for any help.
  8. ^ That's just like how I see people look at Kong and say "Wow this looks like a smooth ride!"
  9. Oh wow. Either they're not the brightest, or you did an awful job of explaining X to them. Maybe some pics would've helped. I showed them a picture of X and they "identified" it as Roar.
  10. ^ Yeah I saw those half buried slide tubes. Such a sad sight. I didn't have my camera handy, but driving by there was when I realized that Manteca Waterslides was gone forever and that I had missed my chance to go there. Also, does anyone know the names of any of the slides there?
  11. So they tested 838 girls, and now can make a news grabbing headline like 3 million girls have an STD? Bahahahaha SURE. Wed, you're always great at finding holes in data like this. When I came to my senses, I realized just how much BS this article really is. Thats what I meant. I mainly overreacted at first because I am still getting over a rejection that happened yesterday.
  12. I probably won't wait till marriage as long as whoever I'm with doesn't have an STD. Not to sound shallow or anything, but if I end up dating a girl who I later find out has an incurable STD, it's goodbye to her. That is, if the tests prove right.
  13. Words cannot describe just how awesome that B&M is!
  14. Earlier this week when I was describing X to some people, I heard someone say "OMGZLOL I've totally been on that. it's Roar at Great America!!1!"
  15. I will be 18 in 2 months and I am a lifelong single.
  16. No, Its alright, She was kinda a bitch. It seems very common at your age to have that attitude. I remember when I was 14. They told each other how much they loved each other, how perfect they were. Then when they broke up all the trash talk began. Most of the time just meaningless bashing. Lots just stopped speaking all together instead of just calling off the relationship and remaining friends like they do when they are older. So much drama in high school. Tyler, you couldn't be any more right about that. I remember feeling that way too. I am very shy, but nowhere near as shy as I was several years ago. Back then I couldn't even talk to girls without getting horribly nervous. I even had a hard time looking them in the eye. Over the last several years, I have learned that I would NOT have wanted to be in the "relationships" which happened during my freshman and sophomore years. In fact, sophomore year was the peak year in my life when the pressure was on to be in a relationship. I still haven't been in a relationship because I am looking for the right girl (ok ok my shyness contributes to that a lot too). There are too many people I know who just want/have been in a relationship to "get layed" and then move on to another. The trouble is just meeting girls for shy guys like me. Also in high school, I have realized that so many are taken which makes it all the harder, especially when so many are the wrong kind of people. My school is truly a pathetic school for relationships.
  17. I challenge that. My brother's good friend has been with his girlfriend for 21 months so far, and they started dating at 14.
  18. ^ Good point Tyler. I'm just going to hang in there and see how things play out between now and prom. I'm sure that even if she still has a boyfriend that things will go fine. If not, I have college to look forward to in 5 months to make a brand new start with my life.
  19. *waits for Wes to come and kill thread*
  20. Thats exactly what my one of my friends is telling he. He's only 15 but he has the maturity level higher than that of most adults I know, so I trust him. You're setting yourself up for failure if you are thinking she's "the one" even if you haven't had any hint of an actual relationship with her. Not to be the bearer of honest but bad news, but you're infatuated with her, and she probably feels bad for you to a certain extent, which is why she agreed to go to your prom. But if she has a boyfriend she's definitely not interested in you. The thing is, we have had hints of a relationship before this. But the fact that she lives in Louisiana and I live in California has something to do with it. She has told me sometime before this how if she lived in California that she would date me. But in reality, you're probably right.
  21. Over the weekend I watched "Big Daddy" and "Black Hawk Down." Both very different yet great movies. Big Daddy provides comedy relief whereas Black Hawk Down delivers an intense story about the UN conflict in Somalia in 1993. I watched Final Destination 1 and 2 on the same evening several weeks ago. I just watched the 3rd one earlier this afternoon. Those movies never get old!
  22. I still think she's "the one." After all, high school relationships tend to have lots of drama. And it is still just over 2 months until she comes out. I don't know what else to say about this. It's all so complicated...
  23. Don't worry about it bro. You'll find that special someone eventually, they'll come along in due time. ---Brent Yeah, I don't have a "gf" yet. But, Im in no hurry, neither should you. But, I know that special someone will come in my life one day. Even if I have to do a MTV dating show! -Tatum Dude, you're not so bad off. I'm almost 18 and I have never even held hands with a girl. Now THAT is bad. There was a group of girls at my High School that got with some nerdy guys just so they would buy them prom tickets. As soon as they did they would promptly break up and keep the ticket. So it could be worse. As for me, my prom date was kind of a monster.. Which brings me to the best part about prom... It's already 5 years in my past and I never had to worry about it again. I guess you're right about that. It could be worse. I just contacted her over the weekend and she says she is still flying out to California after her graduation to go to my prom with me even though she has a boyfriend. I wonder if it's commitment, or if she just feels sorry for me since I have had such bad luck with girls over my life.
