  1. I used to have this problem all the time in RCT2, it would crash my park rating and more and more people would get lost. Usually what I would do is build another path that goes underground all the way to the exit if they all want to go home or to another area of the park so they will quit their bitching about being lost. It worked like a charm and my park rating would skyrocket afterwards. All of my RCT2 parks have an extensive underground network of paths to combat this. The park above looks fine and you don't have to readjust rides or buildings, it's all hidden.
  2. Awesome park! The detail on the attractions and buildings are wonderful! Keep it up!
  3. Thanks! I'm not exactly sure about that, but I apologize for it. Promotional photo released by the park!
  4. Construction Tour Update Snow and cold weather didn't delay the construction tour! The tour was held on February 28th, Year 2 with many members of the press in attendance. Mr Illum showed off the park to the press and the expansion with Lumberjack falls. In addition to the flume being added, two rides have been added for the younger peeps and an animal exhibit has been added as well, though Mr. Illum said this would only be for this season only. Without further ado, here are the photos of the changes! 5. Construction Preview! Mr. Illum provided the local paper, the Westworth Press, With a picture of construction work going on for Illum Hills' newest ride, Lumberjack Falls. Mr Illum wrote that construction was "going smoothly and the ride is set to open for Memorial Day." An offseason construction tour is coming up soon so the improvements and additions to the park can be shown to an eager public! The station work has begun and the ride has gone vertical!
  6. Funny you should mention that, I saw that HHE was having a sell-off and last night I was thinking about adding one of those attractions so it can be saved. I'm looking through CD5's park at the attractions that he has up for sale and figuring out which one would a smaller park like IH want.
  7. Sorry for the delay, but here it is! Fall Year 1 (Fall Fest) Ticket Prices: Adult General Admission: $15.00 Child General Admission: $8.00 Spectator: $7.00 Under 3: Free Park Hours: Sun:12pm-10pm Mon:Closed Tues:Closed Wed:Closed Thurs:Closed Fri:4pm-11pm Sat:10am-12am Park News: Mr. Illum loves Halloween, so Fall Fest was full of scary scenes throughout the park. He set up a scary walk through area in the park's entry plaza and put fog in around the park. A haunted walkway by the Wonder Wheel proved to be very popular with all ages. Fall Fest ran from September to Halloween and the park then closed down for the offseason. The park's new ride for Year 2 has begun construction, and during the offseason, the press will be invited to see the progress of the new ride. The new ride will be Lumberjack Falls, a flume ride that will be on the other side of the entry plaza. The ride will wind around the trees and in and out of themed structures, culminating in a large drop sure to soak all riders! Mr Illum also said that the ride will be an expansion of the park that will include a few kid's rides and a petting zoo. Be sure to keep an eye out for an offseason construction tour! 8. Thanks for all the positive comments! I'm sorry the next update still isn't ready due to many exams this week. ^The Skeeball machines are from Shyguy's Circus Center set. ^^ I would put more foliage in, but that's the entrance area only with temporary walls put up.
  9. Not a full update right now, but a teaser shot of the scary part of Fall Fest! A full update for Fall Year 1 is coming soon! Including shots of construction of next year's attraction! Stay tuned!
  10. Yeah, they've got even more done now since I can see it from Campus, I took a pic but it's very fuzzy so I'll try to get a better one later this week!
  11. LOL! I don't think SFGAd will ever get another flat ride package! Remember the 'War on Lines!'? How many of those are left!? I remember the War on Lines vividly. At the time it was great as we had a variety of fun rides come into the park. I'm very disappointed at how many have been removed with no replacements. Granted we have gotten some awesome coasters like Toro and Ka along with extremely well themed sections, those empty slabs of concrete where Chaos, Spinmeister, Evolution, and Pendulum, and maybe Fantasy Fling next season need to be filled with newer flats. Great Adventure has really made a lot of progress in cleaning up the park and catering to the family crowd and I'm really happy at how well the park ran in 2007, it's just that I'd like to see new attractions to fill those spots up. War on Lines I was not a success, but a well planned and executed War on Lines II could be very beneficial to the park.
  12. Park have been getting family friendly rides such as coasters, but will parks like Great Adventure ever get an influx of flat rides? They are in serious need of non-coaster rides and I'm wondering if there is a plan to purchase smaller rides for the parks to combat coaster lines.
  13. Summer Year 1 Ticket Prices: Adult General Admission: $15.00 Child General Admission: $8.00 Spectator: $7.00 Under 3: Free Park Hours: Sun:12pm-10pm Mon:10am-10pm Tues:10am-10pm Wed:10am-10pm Thurs:10am-10pm Fri:10am-11pm Sat:10am-12am Park News: Attendance has been high throughout the Spring and guest satisfaction is very high. Lines varied between 1/2 and hour to 45 minutes on most rides. David Illum was interviewed by local media outlets and he was quoted as saying "I couldn't be happier, we have many families coming here and everyone has something to ride. All of our attractions have been open and running well, except for Double Take's motor difficulties on June 23rd, but Arrow promptly replaced it and the ride has been certified safe for operation. The money doesn't matter as much to me as my investors, I'd rather get paid in smiles." The staff is friendly and working hard throughout the park and the summer was full of screams, fun, and beautiful weather. Mr. Illum asked what was in store for park guests this Fall, he replied "We're holding an event called Fall Fest with a small Halloween theme, so be sure to come weekends in the Fall for it!" Next years attractions are in planning stages and being decided upon after guest surveys are finished. Mr. Illum gave us a hint when he said "You should think about bringing a towel to the park next year." Here is the Summer photo update: Double Take received a covering for it's station Vendor Carts have started appearing in the park Eagle's Nest is very popular with the public Pioneer dives into a foggy tunnel Looking over at the park while on Pioneer's lift Double Take's second launch motor began smoking on June 23rd It was closed for 2 weeks while inspections and repairs took place Empty trains started Testing July 5th and it reopened July 7th Re-opened Double Take from Wonder Wheel Galaxy is an awesome ride in the back corner of the park Through the loop at night by the watching area Fireworks during the weekends! 14. Judging from the floodwaters and the date on the bottom, this could be something based around SFNO. I've seen your work and can't wait to see what this is!
  15. That folder should be located in your RCT3 program files. You go My Computer->Program Files->Atari->RCT3->Style->Themed. Just follow that sequence and then you extract Steelworx from the zip file and place the folder inside Themed.
  16. Thanks for the feedback, I've been hesitant to post it because I've seen some truly stunning creations on here that I wasn't sure I could compete with. Another update will be coming later this week! The park isn't on a real timeline, but it's kind of starting around the 70's if one wants to be technical, hence the Arrow Loop (Which I now see that the other support got deleted, I'll fix that!)
  17. Hello everyone! I know I'm not a frequent poster on TPR, but I have posted my RCT2 work here in the past and it got a good response. I'm moving into RCT3 and I just finished work on the first part of my park, Illum Hills. I'm going to update it on a season by season basis and seperate the updates by Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Summer is looking to be even more busy as word spreads about Illum Hills! Coming Soon: Summer, Year 1
  18. ^^The only bad thing about a Batman theme is paying for the licensing fees from WB and DC.
  19. Afterburn was a much better name, why go back to Flight Deck?!
  20. Let's see: Kingda Ka Top Thrill Dragster Superman: The Escape The last 3 record holders for speed have some of the most bland and uninspiring layouts in the world, yet the fact that they are so fast and so tall makes the GP go bananas so the claim of Fastest roller coaster is bound to attract more and more tourists. It's always just an easy way to break a record nowadays.
  21. Great Adventure has received the first shipment of track! They have the pictures posted on their official construction journal. Click here to view it! Enjoy!
  22. Flight Deck sounds like a themed queue line, not a ride. I can understand not wanting to pay the licensing fees, but at least come up with a more inspired name Just about ANYTHING is better than Flight Deck. Except Dog Fart Coaster.
  23. What does this remind me of? The TOGO Death Restraints on the now defunct Viper at Great Adventure. On a contorted layout, this just looks painful.
  24. ^OD Hopkins is no longer in business, that's why so many chute the chutes water rides made by them are either up for sale or being torn down due to maitenance woes. Great updates Shane, Even though I didn't exist when most of these old brochures and parks existed, I still find it interesting to see just how the amusement park business has grown! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
