Does anyone think Kirby Canvas Curse will be available new in the stores again? I missed Princess Peach too but I found it new at Toys R Us the other day so maybe thats a sign Kirby Canvas Curse will come back! (& Wario Land 4 & Kirby Nightmare In Dreamland-hopefully under Player's Choice)

I love those Falling Star flat rides. Theyre so much fun & too bad there are very few of them. I've been on the Mall of America one. I wish they didn't get rid of the SFDK one. -

National Roller Coaster Day - 8/16
sfmmrules! replied to TheCoasterCritic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wish I could spend the whole day at SFMM which is PARADISE! But its 5 1/2 hours away from the Bay Area. CGA is way too booring & I hate all their coastes. -
Knotts was HOORIBLE!!! I didn't care for it at all. Except for of course Montezooma's Revenge. I had fun on that since I have missed the old Greased Lightnin at CGA. Ghostrider was AWFLE! I hate those GCI woodies. Its worse than Roar.- Much! I wish I took my parents & everybody else's advise: don't go! It sure was the CGA of the South. Xcelator was closed. Did I miss anything? I don't think I did. Now I can tell people to not go & its not worth it. Just go to Disneyland & SFMM. That will do!

Beyond vertical drops
sfmmrules! replied to JFrombaugh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
X2's is probabably the most intense one out there. I can't remember exactly-since your going backwards up the lift hill I think you fall head first. -
I sure felt it! I happened to be at Disneyland that day & I was waiting in line by the front entrance to the Haunted Mansion! They had us leave the line then I found out they stopped all the rides in the park so inspectors could come check them out. They started w/the big rides first. By 4:00 everything was up & running again.
-
Does anyone know how soon X2 will be on the fast lane list? I so wanted to ride it again but no way was I going to wait in the 2 1/2 hour line again!
-
You can get 1 Fast Lane ticket where you can go on any 4 rides that has the Fast Lane: -Tatsu (WORTH IT! You skip the long line & go right to the boarding station!) -Goliath -Riddler's Revenge -Batman -Scream -Colossus -Gold Rusher -Revolution -Tidal Wave -Jet Stream -Log Jammer -Viper This is the list they give you once you purchase your Fast Lane ticket. I would use your 4 Fast Lanes for Tatsu. None of the other coasters have really long lines. Too bad X2 isn't on there yet. Hopefully by next summer they will add it!
-
Um no I wouldn't recomend it. SFMM you need a whole day especially since X2 has a 2 1/2-3 hour wait all day & there are lines for the other coasters like Superman was an hour wait when I went on a Thrus. Plus the only way to get to SFMM is on a freeway-like highway 5 & it takes about an hour or a little more from Buena Park & most likely you would get stuck in traffic which would add on more time. But if you get bored at Knotts which I was after a few hours you can easily hop over to Disney. I would allow a full day at SFMM from morning to night especially since SFMM has ten times better coasters & you deffinately want to get on X2 & Tatsu. Tatsu also has long lines all day. Its best to get Fast Lane tickets. Thats what I did. I got 2. It was so worth it.

Quick SFDK update and mini TR

I can't stand Kong & Roar (along w/all other GCI woodies. Kong has got to be the worst inverted coaster ever & those GCI woodies are too rough for me) Especially Ghostrider. That was even worse than Roar! My 2 favorites there are V2 & Medusa. SFMM OMG! Their coasters are so incredibly smooth-every one except Gold Rusher & maybe De Ja Vu. -
This won't stop me from going. I try to visit Disneyland for 2 days every year. Disney is expensive but its well worth it. Who knows maybe this is a sign that Disneyland is preparing for their next big E ticket attraction & the new Tomorrowland 2010 & to also help moving things along w/the new California Adventure makeover. Disney made a smart decision.

Quick LA Trip Report 7/28-7/31
sfmmrules! posted a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just got back Thrus night the 31st after 4 days of parks: Disneyland California Adventure Knotts Six Flags Magic Mountain I did Disneyland & California Adventure on Mon & Tues. It was still crowded but I got on almost everything I wanted to go on. Fast Pass really helped. The longest waits were probabably for Splash(60 min all day), the Subs(around 60 min), & Space at night reached 70 min. Even the Fast Pass line looked just as long but I rode it during the day. The Matterhorn line streched around the mountain by afternoon. It was shorter in the morning. Indiana Jones was running half the day Mon but broke down the rest of the day & was down Tues also so I never got to go on it. I saw the new Indiana Jones show which was not worth seeing. The Hollywood Studios one is the one to see. Toy Story Mania had a 45 min wait. I wasn't going to go on it but decided to & I'm real glad I did. You can't say its bad without riding it first! It was really good & I can't wait to go on it again. The Mr. Potato Head in the line area was cool. The Tower hardly had a wait like usuall & is sure my favorite drop ride & Screamin was awsome as usuall. Grizzly River is sure worth the wait. You sure get wet in the summer same w/Splash. Tues I was at Disneyland when the earthquake happened! I was in line almost to the Haunted Mansion entrance when I saw the house shake & felt the floor moving. I thought for a second is that a new addition Disney added to the Haunted Mansion? They had us leave the line & then I found out they closed every attraction in the park but they were all up & running again in about 3 hours since they all had to be checked by inspectors. Of course they started w/the big rides first. Disneyland sure is a place to visit every year. I can't wait to go back next year. Wed 7/30 I went to Knotts & wasn't very impressed. I knew I probabably wouldn't be. Too bad Xcelator was closed due to some problem they were trying to fix. Ghostrider was HOORIBLE! I thought it was going to pull my neck right off. I hate those GCI woodies. Poney Express there was nothing thrilling about it. It was over in a split second. They shouldn't have even bothered to build it! Plerious Plunge was at least thrilling. It was sure the steepest water ride I've ever been on but as soon as I got to Boomerang I was dry! & I got pretty wet. Supreme Scream was thrilling too since it goes real high up. Timber Mountain Log Ride was ok but the best is Splash Mountain. Calico Mime Ride I enjoyed but again I'd rather go on Big Thunder. Oh & of course it was nice to go on a PGA Greased Lightnin/Tidal Wave clone again. It seemed the same so I didn't notice a difference. I rode that twice in a row. Silver Bullet was nothing like Batman, or Dueling Dragons & not that thrilling. I got to Knotts around 10:15 & left at 3:30 since I was done. Thrus 7/31 FINALLY Magic Mountain! I got to the park entrance by 11:00 & got 2 Fast Lane tickets. It sure was worth the $40. I got in line for X2 at 11:05 so I was too late. I got stuck waiting 2 & 1/2 hours. I finally got on at 1:30 but it was sure worth the wait even though the ride is less than 2 min. It was pretty awsome & I really felt the heat from the fire effects. I deffinately got the ride picture since it came out great. Then off to Viper & all the other coasters. I finally got on Tatsu for the first time & one awsome flying coaster! I had another Fast Lane ticket to go on it again but I didn't have time since I needed to leave at 5:30. I got on everything except De Ja Vu & Superman (which had an hour wait). I sure wanted to go on X2 again but hopefully by next summer it will be on the Fast Lane list. I just can't believe how smooth all of Magic Mountain's coasters are! (except for Gold Rusher) No headache at all! Pretty good trip. I CAN'T WAIT for next summer! I can't wait to try Hurricane Harbor. -
Lets say I get a fast pass for Space Mountain at 8am before I ride & it says a return between 10-11. I would like to use my fast pass later in the day after it has expired. Could I do that?

That park reminds me of Disney w/the Monorail & Pirates. But I always like all the pictures of Robb. They're hysterical! -
I will FINALLY be at SFMM next Thrus! But only from opening until about 5 since that is the day my parents & I are driving back. I've been on them on how important it is for me to be at the gate at 10:00 since it opens at 10:30. We will be driving from the Ayres hotel in Orange to SFMM Thrus morning. What time do you think we need to leave so we get to SFMM at 10? & how can I make them understand how important it is to be there at 10? I have to keep reminding them. They don't seem to get it! I'm soooo excited about going on X2 & Tatsu! Never been on those! I am also buying 2 fast lane tickets: 1 I will use for 4 rides on Tatsu & the other for the other coasters. I can't wait I can't wait!!!

I bought 2 Universal Express passes for both parks & I was able to use them more than once at most attractions like the JPRA at IOA noone was there marking off or looking at my pass. It was so worth the $100. That was for April since I was there at a peak time - spring break so the price of the Universal Express passes varies. Yours will probabably be less. Look at the Universal Orlando websight for details.
