Just Dance - Lady Gaga ft. Colby O'Donnis Catchy song
-
I have a quick question about registering for this event. I plan on bringing my sister along, and the FAQ on the flyer says that you need to be a member in order to attend, which is fine seeing as she plans on registering here at some point anyways. However, the registration form asks for information about your party (eg. sizes of shirts if more than one is needed). Does this mean that I, as a member, can bring other people (non-members) without them having to register? Also (yeah, I'm just full of questions), if she does have to join TPR to attend, can we still pay for both registrations together?

The Official "TPR Europe Trip 2008" Thread!
jazzimm replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Okay, so I've been a member here for a little while now, and have just never realized in all of the TPR trip reports that I have something in common with Elissa. I think it is only right to let you all know that ELISSA IS NOT THE ONLY ONE! I, too, have my noodles, spaghetti, whatever, with absolutely nothing on them... Well, maybe a little bit of salt if I'm in the mood. -
Agreed. A WALL-E themed attraction would be awesome.

I saw both WALL-E and Wanted this weekend. WALL-E was amazing! It had the audience captivated right from the beginning, and I have to say, I've never come across an animated character that could tug at your emotions quite so well. I absolutely loved it in every way, and it certainly deserves the great reviews it has gotten. Wanted was also good. I have to say, I didn't have very high expectations for it, but it really did impress me. The plot was much more involved than I had anticipated, and it wasn't at all what I was expecting... in a very good way. Although both movies were great in different ways, WALL-E was just fantastic. I would pay another $10 to see it again in the theatres. And I almost never say that. GO, WALL-E!

Things I don't know that are on my exam tomorrow: Om, Prasad, Tilak, Samsara, Japa, Puja, Homa. In addition, I hate having to find a new hair salon. And right when I was just getting comfortable. Goodbye, hair.

I've never been so stressed over exams in my life. Why am I so freaked? I hope to God that she gives us an equation sheet for the exam tomorrow.

TPR and Theme Park Artwork
jazzimm replied to sfmmFREAK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Here's a painting that I just did quickly yesterday for a school project. It's supposed to represent the two different sides to a person... the sort of, "don't judge a book by its cover" theme. -

To add to the "phrases" rants, have you noticed the increasing amounts of "and such" that is being said? People just seem to be throwing "and such" on the end of everything. "Yeah, today I went shopping and such." ????? "I think when we're on vacation I'll do some surfing and such." ??????!!!! "I have to buy her birthday present. Teddy bear, gift certificate, birthday card, and such." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP IT! You know when you hear or say a word too many times and it starts sounding wrong, or stops making sense? That is what is happening to the word "such" for me. I now think it's gross and should only be used in a sentence such as: "The word should only be used in a sentence such as this" Because "such as" makes more sense. The usage of this term really bugs me. If you really feel the need to say something like that, try something more along the lines of: ... Yeah, sorry I have no examples there. You know why? Because it is unnecessary and doesn't need to be thrown onto the end of every sentence. It really doesn't make you sound smart. It does the polar opposite, actually. Sorry about the harshness of the rant. It really is more directed at one person I know in particular who throws "and such" on the end of most sentences that come out of his mouth to make himself sound clever. It doesn't work.

Yes. lol, zipper. Is this a yes/no answer game? Joking, sorry, I'll stop nitpicking now. Have you ever been on a pirate ship?

Lawmaker Wants to Make Anonymous Internet Posting Illegal
jazzimm replied to riccoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
I totally agree with all of the arguments against this. Another one, though, is that on this site (and I'm sure most others) there are a lot of international posters. If this bill does get passed (HA), do we (citizens of other countries) also really need to give out our information just to post on an American based website? It's not law where I come from, so I really wouldn't be playing that game. Why should Robb be fined for having me post anonymously even though for me it isn't against the law to do so? As long as I am posting from Canadian soil, should he be fined for my anonymous posts? Surely I am mistaken or that couldn't be right. I just didn't understand how that would play out. It doesn't work out internationally from what I can see.
