Well, from my experience (please note I have barely been anywhere), The best steel would have to be Apollo's Chariot, and for woodies it's got to be Thunder Road with a full train and with wet track. It's great dry too.

Hmm... Can anyone say, lawsuit? This is just terrible. It sounds as if this wasn't the first time something like this has happened there. It seem a shame that they'd tear down the ride for a new one though, that is if mobilejom is right. They could always just fire they people responsible, and add the normal sensors and other safety features to it to stop this from happening in the future. I'm sure the upgrade would save them more money than just getting a new ride would.

Here at Carowinds, on any day, if there is any empty seat, you can take it. This is only restricted on Top Gun some days because of crowds. Sad that parks like Hershey don't allow it.

I've only been to WDW, and my first trip was back when I was two. We have gone about every 3 years.

A friend of mine said this while eating at Moe's one night: "Did you know, there's a coaster underneath the Hurler at Carowinds." Of course, my coaster geek side came out and I had to argue with him, I said "No there isn't. There's not enough space underneath it for one anyways." His response was, "It's a secret coaster that only cool people know about, it's underground."

That obstacle course at muscle park had some of the obstacles from Ninja Warrior! I've got to go there .

Great TR. You could have done the single rider line on test track if you didn't want to wait in the stand by line. Boy, this makes me want to go back so bad, but thats probably not going to happen in the next three years, sigh.

Man all these people starting out so early with credits. I'm jealous. I only had one at the age of two and if you would have said the word roller coaster, I would have said, huh what? I wish my family was all coaster enthusiasts too and not just me.

This past summer, Vortex here at Carowinds had a bought of wanting to break down. I believe it was problems with the lift motor. Otherwise, I only saw Top Gun down once this summer, and that was for some support problems. I can't really say I've seen a B&M down for more than one day, unless some very extensive work is being done on it.
