Pufferfish

Carowinds never seems to have a lack of animals. I guess it's just the location. This summer, at the bridge that passes between the Carolina RFD section and Nick Central, there always seemed to be about 20 Canadian geese just sitting there, especially in the morning. Also, we get a fair share of tree rats, AKA squirrels (no offense meant with the calling them rats to Elissa).

It's not a 4D! It's an aquatrax! It looks great, can't wait to see more.

Fairly Odd Coaster and Flying Super Saturater.

Um, I'd love to give you advise, if I knew what you were planning on building. I guess one tip is just to make sure to include adequate support, especially if it is going to be a working model. You don't want it to fall apart on you during operation (I did this once, sigh).

Wow, talk about detail! I can't wait to see the rest! How about a tropical name that has to do something with the ride type, sort of like Tropicana Twister, gives a good advertisement opportunity.

Cyclone at Lakeside?

Wow, that is nice. I personally am a big fan of Saw and if this was a real coaster, I'd be all over it like a pizza at a Weight Watcher's convention.

Home park: Carowinds. Best coaster: Top Gun TJC. The coaster that makes me think, why did they have to give us this piece of crap: Borg Assimilator. Stupidest thing park has done: keep Flying Super Saturater running without its water elements.

I got stuck on the log flume at Carowinds over the summer and was evacuated. There are two sides to the station, one had the break jammed. The ride ops loaded us on the other side. Everything was going perfectly fine until we reached the end. They still didn't have the break fixed when we got back around, and instead of doing the smart thing of putting us back in the side we departed from, they tried to put us on the side with the broken brake. We were then stuck in a pile up, out of reach of the station. They then proceeded to drain the flume and evac us. This took about 45 minutes. At least they offered us to come back and test ride it after they finish work.

My idea of a good coaster does not include height or speed at all. What makes a coaster good to me is a constant shift of forces. A plain 400+ foot coaster with speeds of 100+ mph, is not better than a coaster that is 80' tall, that goes about 50 mph with a lot of airtime hills, hairpin turns, and a few inversions. You ride the 400 footer and think, eh, it was alright. Then you ride the 80 footer and think that was great! I'm going to ride again!

Wow, this is looking good! Great buildings, and that little coaster actually looks fun. This park does have a lot of potential. Can't wait to see the rest.

Saw 4 comes out this Friday, and I've already started listening to Christmas music! Yay!

Well, most of the coasters there are steel, it's only Colossus that we have to worry about. It should survive. It might loose the few trees it has, but that won't make much of a difference. I hope they can put out those fires soon. This has definitely been a terrible drought season.
