  1. It's a work in progress. Besides, it looks OK in Internet Explorer 6 and Netscape 8. I have to get some things worked out, so hold onto your panties, dog.
  2. Thanks for the trip report! I've read several TRs on Phobia and the commonailty is that it needs improvement.
  3. Well, here is my website that I'm working on for college credit: student.fgcu.edu/rboggs/fu/fu009 Click on Assignment 3 and check out the Membership Form! Nothing works on the form yet, but check out what you can select.
  4. I have a friend who refuses to ride X, but he's rode pretty much everything else, even Kingda Ka.
  5. You can use your own bags at MNHSSP. Even with the bags Disney gave, I was only able to fill my bag halfway and I hit all the candy stands once. I even double-dipped one!
  6. I picked up Pinnacle Studio 10 and it was a bear to install. I had to reinstall Windows XP HE and then upgrade back to Windows XP Pro. Then I had to install Pinnacle Studio first before installing anything else. I was trying to preview an avi file and it the picture paused every now and then. I want to tinker around with it some more, but my first impressions are that I should have stuck with Pinnacle Studio 9, or bought Adobe Premiere Elements.
  7. ^^It's called Adventure Landing and it's at Jacksonville Beach: http://www.adventurelanding.com/jbe/ They proclaim to have the only permanent coaster installation in NE Florida. But it's only a Wacky Worm!
  8. We should be surprised when TTD is open. When it's closed, what's so surprising about that?
  9. While in Jax, there's a Wacky Worm coaster at a water park. They seem to let adults ride it. Ride it for the credit!
  10. ^We can have lima beans and a cup of Beverly! Yum!
  11. I had heard about Zoomers coming soon to a place in Ft. Myers, FL, but I've never seen the building. I decided to check it out on October 1 and see what it was all about. It was rainy that day, so I didn't get a chance to walk around. It isn't Cedar Point, but it looks like a decent park.
  12. I was thinking of doing Zoo Boo, but I will be out 1 night hotel's stay in Orlando. I booked a room on Priceline for $25/night from 10/20 - 10/24. But I found a cheap Motel 6 in Tampa, so I suppose leaving my stuff in the Orlando room for 1 night won't be that bad. Anyway, for those who went to Zoo Boo, do they allow videotaping in the houses? I checked the website and I didn't see anything in the rules, FAQs, or maps. I also assume Zoo Boo has less drunks then some of the other Halloween events? I just don't want to get spewed on by drunks.
  13. I was thinking of going to Phobia anyway. I will keep an open mind, but if it turns out to truly be a ghetto Halloween, I can make a funny video about it. I even have the music picked out -- Dynamite Hack's "Boyz in the Hood."
  14. ^^Journey: Escape The second one is Halo, I believe (I've never played it though because I don't have an XBox).
  15. It's time to tell my tale! "How I Learned to Love Roller Coasters and Stopped Worrying About the Beast" The TV news show "Inside Edition" reported that your chances of getting into a fatal roller coaster accident are 1 in 10 million. Yet, every time I thought about riding one, I thought that I would die. I used to avoid riding roller coasters. I chickened out on Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. I avoided Busch Gardens Tampa for years. If I didn't ride the roller coasters, I didn’t think I could do much else at that theme park. I did ride Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and I was terrified. I swore to never do it again! That all changed when I visited Islands of Adventure in May 1999. I initially planned to avoid riding the roller coasters. My main draw to the park was one ride – The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. I passed by the Incredible Hulk Coaster many times thinking, "I'll save it for later." Finally, I decided to ride it. I almost ran away from the entrance, but I thought of what my mom said when I wouldn't eat lima beans -- "How do you know if you don't like it if you haven't tried it?" I never ate my lima beans and I still haven’t put them in my mouth, but I figured I'd ride the roller coaster once and if I didn't like it, I'd ride something else. There are plenty of other things to do at the park! I entered the queue and I felt my heart pounding, my skin crawling, and my breath becoming shorter. Finally, I entered the coaster and was strapped in. I felt more scared than any other time in my life. It was scarier than my first date! As the car rolled into the launch tube, I want to cry. Then guests seated in the back of the coaster started yelling, "Whoo!" I began to yell "Whoo!" too. Suddenly, my fear turned into excitement and I was launched out! I yelled "Whoo!" so much that my voice was harsh after the ride. I don't remember much of what the track looked like because I kept my eyes closed (especially during the upside-down parts), but I was having so much fun that I didn’t really care. At the end of the ride, I said, "What a rush!" At that moment, a roller coaster enthusiast was born! I had planned to ride the Hulk Coaster zero times, but I ended up riding it seven times. I finally conquered the Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain. I visited Busch Gardens Tampa a few months after visiting Islands of Adventure and enjoyed the coasters there. I’ve visited Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio – the roller coaster mecca – several times as well as many other roller coaster parks around the United States. I’ve joined the American Coaster Enthusiasts and the Florida Coaster Club. Even though I’ve ridden the tallest and fastest coaster in the world – Cedar Point’s Top Thrill Dragster – as my 100th coaster, I haven’t found a roller coaster that gave me a rush like my first ride on the Incredible Hulk Coaster, but I find joy in each and every one that I ride. Perhaps one day I will have the courage to eat lima beans.
  16. Here's a review of Phobia on HHN Vault: http://www.hhnvault.com/your_terror/articles/100305cyprophobia.html
  17. I had planned out my "Horror Vacation" this year and my plan was: 10/20 HHN 10/21 HOS 10/22 Phobia 10/23 MNSSHP Then I read several reviews for Phobia and they all agreed on one thing: it's terrible. It sounds like a "ghetto Halloween" to me. So I'm not sure if I want to go, so I'm looking for an alternative. Here's what I'm thinking... - Zoo Boo at the Lowry Park Zoo - VIP tour at HHN (pricey) - Sea World Spooktacular (Platnium pass gets me in free, but I did it last year and not sure if I want to do it this year) - Skull Kingdom and Orlando Ghost Tours - Kiss from robb (very scary!) - Get drunk (who wants to be my designated driver?) I could go to Phobia anyway and just see how bad bad is. I have an AP at Cypress Gardens anyway. So what would you do?
  18. Can I get... "We all live in a ghetto Halloween, a ghetto Halloween..." Leave the quotes. I would keep my title, but Robb hasn't given me a kiss yet.
  19. Oh great, I drive like an old man on go-karts. When you've lived in Ft. Myers for over 30 years, you start to drive like your parental units and other old folks.
  20. Ew, King Richard's! They charge like $25 for a wristband for a kiddie coaster, a go-kart track, and some flats. No wonder I drive up to BGT for my coaster thrills. I suppose if R&E and Katie come down to Ft. Myers, I will have to show them around.
  21. I just saw the track, but it looks like a Dragon coaster. Maybe I need to post some photos.
  22. I drove by this park on Saturday. There's still a lot of work to be done, but they had construction people there working very hard. I hope it opens in November because they have a kiddie coaster there! Yes, I saw the track! Yeah, credit! Oh, and Carraba's is only a 15-20 minute drive away. I know who will be visiting Ft. Myers to ride the coaster *cough* Elissa *cough*
  23. So for anyone that went, how is Phobia at Cypress Gardens? I heard from a friend who went and he said it wasn't very good. Is it any good or a "ghetto Halloween?"
  24. The real names of the Dragons are "red one" and "blue one." The GP calls them that all the time!
