Knotts is not going to get closed down for this but honestly, I am glad this Video got out as otherwise they would have tried to cover it up, which certainly would not have helped at all This way a detailed investigation will be launched so something like this will hopefully not happen again I mean, the seat tilted at the end to the side, cables/debris flying all around. On this one the park really got lucky as a lot and I mean A LOT worse could have happend

Btw, the you tube video was taken down(guess cedar fair lawyers woke up), but knbc already has it on there own server and it is still up. You know it will be on the 4,5,6,10,11pm news today... http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local-beat/Knotts-Berry-Farm-Rollercoaster-Accident-Injures-Guests-59751017.html

RC Freak, disgusting might not have been the right word(I am european afterall, so bad choice of words) And I certainly dont think you are "disgusting" because you laugh at the video Just at the point when I saw it, we did not know what happend to the kid(as it seemed something in the leg area was not right). As you said, It could have been a lot worse and with no legit newsreport(still?!?!) I guess we can assume nothing major happend It's just that things like this should not happen, not to me, you, that boy or anyone else. Not to be preaching or anything(after all, we are on the same team), but(you know there was a but coming, lol)I dont think we should make light of this particular situation as plenty of coasters with the same system are still operating and same thing can happen again with (hopefully not) a worse outcome

For those of you who think it is funny, asking that the park should have a second cable avail in case of this happens or find it so hilarious to dub the video.... Honestly? We watch something where people got kinda lucky that nothing worse happend. I would like to see you guys on that train and see how YOU would have reacted Thankfully everyone on that ride is ok, but to make light of the situation is (sorry to say) rather disgusting

Dang, you have to much time on your hand, but have to say that I LOVE THE GRAPHIC! According to Screamscape, the idea for the 50th Six Flags Anniversary is to bring the ride rotation program back aka every park is sending a gift to another park of the chain So let's get out imagination go wild.... I would trade Riddler(which I love) for El Torro...

Trust me on that one, the mid course break did not "almost stop the train" you when it first opend, it was rather intense There is a video of Goliath in 2000 POV, here on TPR http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22603 As you can see, the midcourse break slowed the trains down but not even close to on how it is done these days. Plus on Media Day they were even less "on"

There was no twitter or facebook really to hype these rides the way they can do so now-a-days -

Screw a suspended wooden coaster, i like the Megawhip on the gordonrides website, turn the sucker on 50 mph and you have one heck of a ride!
