Your wish is my command Jahan...well this time anyway. These are from Inside the Magic's flickr page. They are photos with a flash, so I assume it looks even more impressive in the dark. Some new "venting" in Stretch The Changing Portrait Gallery The Grand Staircase The Attic Constance Doesn't look too bad. I love the vents in Stretch. A perfect little detail. The portrait gallery is long time coming, but that wallpaper is bright! I wonder how it looks in the dark. The staircase is beautiful. It's wonderful they're putting that huge space to good use. The attic looks very well done, but the bride isn't too lovely. However, it is a flash picture. The spirits generally do not come out well on film.

I'm curious to see how everything turned out. From the models shown, the staircase looks very stunning, but that to me seems to be the biggest improvement in terms of set pieces. Everything else, set wise, comes directly from Disneyland. Constance, Floating Leota and the changing portrait gallery are all just Disneyland clones. The other improvements will be things that the normal guest won't really recognize, like lighting improvements and stuff. As for other fancy things, it's possible. There were wishful thinking ideas flying from the Imagineers before it went down, but it really seems like none of those ideas came into fruition. Oh well, maybe in another 36 years it'll get another refurbishment to do those ideas.

What Do You Think the New iPod is?
jackskellington101 replied to kraken613's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm also a little disappointed with the lineup as well. A 160GB Classic is crazy, but even that's a little much for what I have. The Nano has never really excited me and the new design looks a little ugly. The Touches were the real disappointment. They had me chomping at the bit until they announced the size. It's just too small. However, I'm working under the assumption that maybe, just maybe, that fancy touch screen and UI just doesn't work with a hard disk. I could be very wrong, but I bet the idea is that the reading and writing from a hard disk is just too slow for the screen to work right or work the way Apple and Jobs wants it to work. It's gen 1 for the product. It'll get better over time. If I get anything, I might get a 160GB Classic. My 4th gen iPod Photo is looking a bit ragged... -
So it's official, the full title to the next installment of the Indiana Jones series is going to be called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Shia LaBeouf "accidentally" let the title slip last night during MTV's Video Music Awards and the studio released a press release about it this morning. So, do you think it's going have any similarity to the Tokyo Disneysea attraction of a similar name or is it just a coincidence?

I think the Jack picture is Photoshopped. The face has been used before and the logo behind is easy enough to do. However, there are rumors for a Jack (and possibly Eddie) maze this year so who knows. Honestly, I hope it's fake. I'm getting a bit sick of Jack. He's used pretty much every year now. He's the band-aid when something doesn't go right. My question is where is the Director? This seems like it would be his year!

Awesome seeing the pictures Soren! They both turned out really well. The one in front of Mansion turned out exceptionally well. That's probably one of the best pictures of me in costume! I think it's pretty funny that we got a photo at each of our respective workplaces. It was really cool meeting up with you and continually running into you here and there, like when you crashed the Ad/Lib/Tomorrowland Halloween Party. Disney's fun, but I'm sure you're happy to be home. Stuart

Wow, the Little Mermaid penis thing was on purpose! I always thought that was a fluke as well. It is phallic, but it never seemed to be too definite. Subtle work. Well, as subtle as a penis stalagmite can be. On a similar but different topic, Robb, was it you who put the "Aladdin wears the Mickey ears and get a life" thing in the Aladdin games? -
Disney Ride Op Simulators
jackskellington101 replied to GMAN962's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Mansion's not much harder. Both are walkers. With Spaceship Earth however, you have to pray for the ride to not break down. It's a steep hike to the top. It's hard if your running it by yourself. These simulations, if anything, shows the importance of a team. And to always respect cast members. -

The forever urban legend that happens to be true. It wasn't just the VHS copy, but the laserdisc too! I can expect that on VHS but really. I thought laserdisc was better than that! -

Didn't this happen to a Dateline broadcast in certain markets not too long ago? I smell a conspiracy. -
I will admit that I did not work a resort, but I would highly suggest the car for your position. The hotels generally were connecting buses, technically vans, that went on separate loops than the main buses that went to everywhere else. For example, for a Magic Kingdom resort area van, you'd have to take the bus to the TTA then wait for the van to take you to the resorts. If my memory serves correctly, the resort loop vans generally went twice an hour, like on the :22 and the :55, or something like that. It depends on which hotel and which area. Many would just take the bus to the closest place and walk, if they could. I saw many walk to and from the Poly from the TTA. Wilderness did the same, though that's a little crazier seeing you have to cross a major road to do so. I think the vehicle would just make life much easier in your situation and seeing you're going to have one anyway, might as well make the most of it.

I had many a night like that, especially during the summer. Coming home from EMH (Extra Magic Hours) around 2 in the morning, always a treat. Heh. The latest night was July 3rd. An already late closing followed by an evening EMH meant work didn't end until 4:45am. I didn't actually get home till 6am and went to work the next day at 4:45pm. That definitely wasn't the most fun time in the world.

Disney Ride Op Simulators

I can say from experience, Phantom Manor (Haunted Mansion) isn't as hard as it is in this simulator! I guess it could be this hard running it by yourself though. Fun little thing! I saw it on Digg this morning as well. I wondered how long until it found itself here. -

The hurt was in my head, as it got battered by the over the shoulder restraints. The shattering of my spine, with Two Face in mind, where my feet started to tingle. -

Last section. See yas! That's all folks! And when I got home, I noticed I got a little sunburned. Damn your giant ball of fire in the sky! Damn you SFA and your lack of shade! On the way out, they had a bunch of characters all conglomerated together. They look bored. SPLOOOOOOOOOSH. Not Dan approved. While waiting for my family to pick me up, I saw that Shipwreck Falls was running again. I love to picture the splash. First, here's the water. Yummy. Packing up and heading out. And a gratuitous shot of Robb's Nindo underwear. -

When your hungry and thirsty, you'll eat and drink anything my dear. More pictures. The little bit of shade we could find. The mass walking over to the Wild One. Still makes a pretty shot. But rusted out Superman brackets. I don't think that's a good thing. Ok, rusted themeing is tolerable. Expected at SFA. Since when did the Flash fly? The Hall of Justice became the DFC area for the day. The only thing they could think of for a mostly female wild west stunt show. Crest that hill Roar. Robb vogue! Joey get ready to sneeze! Robb roar! Robb attack! Roar or Gwazi by itself. They both fit. It's nice to see the politically correct side of Six Flags. More SFA graffiti It's called the mind eraser because after all the blunt force trauma to the head, you won't remember it. Probably for the best. -
The meet, in my assumption, was an overwhelming success. It seemed every aspect of a true TPR meet was there: coasters, minimal wait times, overwhelming numbers of stupid cheerleaders, Vekoma "fun", everything you'd need to a TPR trip. Not only that but Batwing still opened even though the sign said it was closed. I consider that ERT. Unexpected ERT, but ERT non the less. Here are my set of pictures. The ever present SFA graffiti What's a twicket? The lovely SFA tap water. I know I shortened my life span by drinking this. "I think you're in the splash zone" - Robb Well, everyone was thinking it. My lovely meat sammich, in which I waited a half an hour for. Longest wait for the day too. Didn't know you drove Robb. Everyone's getting their kiddie coaster credit. The SFA lagoon...yeah. The Wild One, a classic coaster, but one that really could use the fancy technology of banked turns. owchowchowchowchowchowchowchowchowchowch My 100th credit. Woe is me. Well, let's get this over with. Batman defeated the Joker's Jinx, so it was closed all day. The trains were sitting off the track, which makes it moderately difficult to ride. Batwing opened?!? Awesome. The loop seemed to be extra forceful today. Take that pretzel loop! Take on the revolutionaries! This is a foreboding sight. Too...many...cheerleaders!

Oh my gosh! Mumbles! When I studied in England for a semester, our home stay before the semester started was in Swansea, but all the homes in which we were placed was in Mumbles. Did you happen to see/visit a pub called The White Rose? The student group would congregate The White Rose every night. Awesome TR. The White Rose.
