So then why wouldn't BGT go for a Mega-Lite? Take SheiKra for example, Before it came onto the scene, the vertical drop coasters were just basically the one drop, then they made SheiKra with a unique layout. Before Montu, it was basically just batman clones and Nemesis, and they built one bigger and better. So then why wouldn't they take a Mega-Lite and make it a unique layout? I think you're missing the point as to what we're all trying to explain here. No coaster, not matter how duplicated or unheard-of, is out of the question. Regardless of what they would and wouldn't do, be careful speaking on behalf of the park. Parks change, and they will surprise you. Sometimes the best coasters come from the most unlikely scenarios.

Waste of money for Busch. They don't like copies. What do you mean they don't like copies? Nothing they've done has been completely original. If anything, they take successful ideas, and make them unique. I don't think a Mega-Lite is such a bad idea. Don't think it's necessarily going to happen, but don't think it's out of the question in terms of what Busch would/wouldn't do.

I think the Furius Baco style ride is very plausible, considering the style of the old Monorail Station it's supposed to be held in. It'd be perfect. Though, I hope Intamin have improved the trains, as I heard it's a bit shaky on the outside seat, but that's hard to avoid. Though, I will say, when I envision this ride in my head, I totally see Maverick. I mean, with a track layout this long, I wouldn't be surprised it being a coaster with short, but multiple trains instead of two or three longer ones.

TPR's West Coast Trip 2009!

That's it right there. It is by far not the worst on my list, but publicly, the one I'll put down the most... well that and Wilde Beast at Canada's Wonderland. I think it's lower on the list, because more people have experienced its crappiness just because it's in California. Not because it's actually the worst. -

These videos are getting me pumped!!!! More!!!! -
Hahaha, so the first thing I thought of, was to do some sort of Yo Gabba Gabba/Theme Park mix. As I search the site a little more, of corse they already have one, AND it's their shirt of the month. I think I might just have to buy it. I might just have to do it... Gabba Land America's #1 Pretend Theme Park Adventure. hahaha. It cracks me up!

TPR's 2011 Trips Questionnaire!

I'm aiming for Japan, but dang does Spain sound fantastic. Spain <3 I'll be more certain when I figure out where I will be living this time next year. Australia sounds great, but February is such an awkward time of year to go for me, personally. I'm so sad I'm missing out on a trip this year. I'm gonna go through withdrawals. -

Tel Aviv Looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I want that bumper sticker! -
I feel like every year this list comes out, I just feel weirder and weirder about it. Not necessarily in a bad way. Just in a weird way. I worry about too many people voting for coasters because it's cool/not cool to vote for them. I just feel every time the list comes out, I say "yeah, that makes sense," and quickly followed by, "Wait... WTF?" While it's still one of the best systems for calculating favorite coasters, I just worry about some of the people voting. In forum like these for example, it's easy for people to tweak their lists because the person they look up to in the forums loved that ride. While that's not the case every time, I just see it happen just a tad too much. Overall though, the list is pretty fair, I do have to say. It's not surprising that certain coaster companies dominated the list, and I'm still happy to see some of the classics maintain their presence on today's board. I think my favorite part of these lists in the debate that follows. ("That ride was crap!" "Actually I thought the ride was smooth and fun.") That's what makes the entity of geekdom so entertaining!

Alton Towers Discussion Thread

I'm a sucker for good theming, and this is shaping up to look good. We'll see how the excecution comes out, but so far this looks interesting. I'll save my actual judgement once more of the ride comes together though. -
That's so true. It's amazing how we take even the smallest things for granted, like every day things. Water is my biggest thing. I will never again, complain about tap water, or anything like that, after going to/living in a place with no easy access to fresh water. It's incredible. Awesome trip report though. The pictures are wonderful. You should frame some of those of the mosque. Simply wonderful. You're a lucky guy to have had that opportunity.

LOL And the people around us all looked, as if they were missing out on something, but it was just us being geeky. LOL. They were probably thinking, "What were they looking at?! Trees?! Some Radio Tower Thingy?! Maybe they're radio tower enthusiast" LOL Yeah I'll say that was one of my favorite geeky things too. Edit: Dragon Wagon Rollback = Scarier than X-Scream
