  2. You guys are going to laugh at me, but I actually like her show on MTV! --Robb "ducks for cover" Alvey
  3. Every morning I dip my armpits in horse feces. --Robb
  4. ^ While that's a good idea, unfortunately, the videos need to be footage shot at a park. --Robb
  5. ^ It's working now! Please post your photos! --Robb
  6. Here is what's on my laptop:
  7. ^ You have heard correct. --Robb
  8. Yeah, that was creepy! I rode it when it was only one track, and the 2nd track was half under construction! So not only were you ducking in and out of scaffolding and construction equipment, but there was a half build coaster right next to you! --Robb
  9. I think you're absolutlely correct. --Robb
  10. 1. Tokyo Disneyland 2. Tokyo DisneySea 3. LaQua Now you could ALSO do Sega Joypolis in the evening on one of your Disney days as it's about 20 minutes by train, open late, and it's in an 'entertainment complex' called "Pallete Town" that you both would probably enjoy. --Robb
  11. ^ Well, they are partially responsible, though. I talked to one of them at IAAPA a couple of years ago (I always forget which is which) and we were talking about SFOG's SUF. They said that the pretzel element was one of the more intense elements they have done in a long time, and it was "something we are trying to stay away from, and if it proves to be a problem, they will have to use the trims that were installed" which is one of the reasons why they said most new coasters (including SUF) come with trims 'pre-installed' in case they need to tame the ride a bit. Luckily, I don't think many B&Ms have even used those trims. But yeah, I know it's not about pleasing enthusaists. But I have to be honest, I think it IS one of the reasons why not too many recent B&M installations make it on the top 10 lists, while more recent Intamin's do. They are just simply making less intense rides lately, and they've even admited so. Not saying they are making bad rides, they just aren't pushing the envelope like they used to. --Robb
  12. ^ I still got a few of the mini-skirts around. I wear them from time to time. --Robb
  13. Oh, yeah, that's an EASY one! Have you ever seen me wear pants? --Robb "I'm a shorts and tee shirt kind of guy." Alvey
  14. Yes, there was a POP that you could buy. We never ended up buying one, though, because it took us three seperate visits to get in all the coasters due to the rain! I don't remember how much it was, but I don't recall it being over $40. Probably somewhere around $35, which was the norm for most of the Japan parks. --Robb
  15. Ok so I finally installed RCT3 last night, and I have to say I think it's better than I thought it was going to be. I'll post more comments after I've played it more, but I do have one question. It does seem there will be times where I will build a ride or coaster, which seems to have a good rating, but nobody goes into, even if I lower the price to free. I don't get a lot of feedback as to why people are going into a ride, they just don't. I don't get anything like "I want to go on something more thrilling than...." or "I'm not paying that much for...." For example I built a Bumper Car and only like 6 peeps went into it. I built a Corkscrew and for like the 1st 5 minutes everyone flocked to it, then no one went on. What's the deal? I know Justin said something about peeps acting very differently from RCT1/2 but this is VERY different. I would say I'm on an 'expert' level on RCT1/2 at least as far as park management and building coasters go - I never really got into the theming part of it. --Robb
  16. Ah, yes....not only am I not looking forward to work...I'm not looking forward to this mornings traffic: http://www.sigalert.com/map.asp?Region=Greater+Los+Angeles
  17. Hey guys, This is all GREAT advice. Yeah, we kind of figured that Fort Fun would be out based on the long drive, and we really don't want to cut our day at Heide short. It also looks as though Tripsdrill would be out, unless we get to Holiday Park, and feel we've gotten enough rides on EGF in a couple of hours as we would HAVE to do Tripsdrill and Holiday in the same day. Also, another question about Movie Park - what has become of their Gremlins dark ride and any other dark rides based on WB characters? Any other advice would be great! --Robb
  18. I've also just added some new headers to make Sticky & Announcement threads easier to read. --Robb
  19. Check out this site that Elissa found: http://www.touringplans.com/BestDays.htm Based on the times we've traveled to WDW it seems VERY accurate at predicting crowds. I know when we were there in Oct, Nov, and Dec, those crowd rankings are RIGHT on! If you frequently visit WDW, I would certainly keep this site bookmarked! --Robb
  20. Post whatever is on your mind... It's late...Iron Chef is on and I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. *sigh*
  21. ^ LOL!! Great photos!!!! --Robb
  22. ^ Yeah. It was more expensive for the times we needed to fly in and the schedules weren't as good. This way we're at least ending at Disney and we're close to the airport. The drive isn't THAT bad from CDG to where we need to be in Belgium. --Robb
  23. ^ Yeah...that kind of sums up Disneyland Resort right now. =( Pretty much everything on that list you can expect to be closed for Solace. --Robb "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news." Alvey

^ I have to be honest, we kind of stick to the 'lowest common demoninator' when it comes to our video and DVD stuff. Heck this was the first year we DIDN'T do VHS tapes and that was a big deal for us! We'll probably do it eventually, but we don't even have a HD TV at home! Other than having a couple of DVD players, cameras, and lots of video game consoles, we don't have a lot of electronics. Heck, we don't even have a Tivo! --Robb "It might be hard to believe, but we're actually kind of low-tech people!" Alvey
  25. Wow! Good to see them adding some new stuff. I wonder if the drop ride is going in the middle of Rattler's helix. When we were there in 2003 they told us they were going to get a drop tower and that's where they wanted to put it. --Robb
