  1. This looks like an interesting coaster. Reading through this thread, I found the conversation about where the trains will raise and lower to be interesting. With such a short layout and only one train, it would hep to have the trains raise while on the lift. I know it doesn't mean much but in the NL1.7 update, the new flyer raises while on the lift, and lowers while on the brake run. You now have the option to change the car position where you would like. Take this as you may, but I don't think NL would incorporate an unrealistic or unfeasible design into their realistic program.
  2. I don't think that those holes are for the music, because similar holes are seen on Wildfire, which does not have onboard music http://rcdb.com/ig720.htm?picture=8 It is harder to see the holes in that picture, but they are there.
  3. You obviously don't know much about how airtime is generated. The speed of the coaster is only one factor in determining airtime. The size if the hill matters. The shape of the hill matters. The restraints matter. You can't just judge how much airtime a coaster has by watching the POV. Go ride Nitro, and then say it's airtime is not comparable to MF.
  4. By far the craziest trip I hhave pulled off would be my road trip this past summer. A week after graduating high school, my friend and I went on a trip that hit CP, GL, HW, SFKK, PKI as well as many other non park related attractions such as baseball games and horse races(Churchill). It was so much fun. You can view the huge photo trip report here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37242.
  5. ^That's exactly how I feel. Also, just a little side note, TPR was the number one referrer to Mitchs' site for this poll. Good job Robb and Elissa for getting so many people to vote.
  6. It really is incredibly how close the poll was this year. Everybody is saying that ET was 6 votes behind Voyage. Technically, it was only 3 behind. If 3 people that preferred Voyage had preferred ET instead, it would have been a dead even tie at 61 votes a piece. Correct me if I am wrong. If the votes by people who rode both coasters this year shows any kind of future trend, ET should take over the number one spot eventually. I rode both coasters this year, and preferred Voyage by the slightest amount. They are both incredible coasters, and deserve the number one and two spots in this poll. Thanks Mitch for running this great poll again. Keep up the good work.
  7. Thanks for the update. This is looking nice.
  8. These are all great pictures. There are some close up shots in this trip report that I posted a few months ago. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37242 Enjoy.
  9. I noticed that a while back. It bothered me, but there was nothing I could do about it. Some of the people that ranked El Toro so low also had "abrupt airtime" as their favorite ride sensation. ET is the apitome abrupt airtime. I now expect people to come and say "ET is not a wooden coaster. That is why it got ranked so low". I ranked ET second to Voyage, but it was a very difficult decision. They both are incredible rides.
  10. I had first last night with just over 150,000. Now I am in second. My best hit was 0KM away from CP.
  11. The first time I tried it, I got 71,384. My best for that round was 1km away from SFGAdv, but that is my home park. My high score now is 132,902.
  12. I used the auto supporter for the simple structure under the track. I am hand supporting everything else. All wide supports and lateral supports are hand made.
  13. I have completed the supports for the lift hill and first drop. This was my first attempt at custom supports on a wooden coaster, and I am pleased with the results thus far. I am now working on the next hill. Updated pictures can be found on the NLDC page. Note that the colors are not yet final. http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827
  14. Just quick update. I have started work on the wide supports, and it is going slowly. I Have about 1/3 of the lift done. I will try to add some pictures later in the week.
  15. Thank you. I have started work on the supports. Because of the terrain, I will have to do all wide supports by hand, which I have never done before. So this may take a while. I'll keep you updated though.
  16. http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827 Gwardar is a huge Gravity Group wooden coaster. It recieves its name from an extremely dangerous snake known as the Gwardar Brown Snake. It is one of the deadliest in the world. That should give you an idea of what this coaster is like. I am hoping to have this coaster be a true Gravity Group ride. I would like to add tunnels to some great areas, but no promises as my 3D's skills are sup-par. I will continue to update as I make progess. Comments are appreciated. http://www.NoLimitsDevCenter.net/p3827
  17. I like the page and logo. This ride will be a very nice fit for Dorney Park.
  18. Thanks for the update. Have a great time at IAAPA. I ca't wait to see Knieval take shape.
  19. I like the new website. It has a nice array of content for the consumer to look at. Hopefully they will keep it updated.
  20. Thanks OldJJman. That worked. This ride is coming along very nicely.
  21. Is there a way that someone can link directly to the pictures? For some reason, I can't find them on the website. Thanks for the help.
  22. Yes, it is. There is only one Great White in New Jersey.
  23. I filled my ballot out. This year I had 41 credits to take into account. This is getting harder every year. Voyage and El Toro took my number one and two spots......in what order?.......Thats for me to know and you to wonder. *Insert evil laugh here* I really do encourage everyone to fill out a ballot. Mitch's poll is by far the best out there, and your opinions matter.
  24. I got a 20/25. It's all of those internation questions that got me.
