  1. Can somebody please link me to the walkthrough that TPR had last year. I am trying to convince my friend to fill out a ballot, but I want him to have those great directions. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the update. I look forward to following this project through your site.
  3. I have been stuck on a few rides. I've gotten stuck on Nitro's lifthill twice, El Toro's lift hill twice, Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion at PKD, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and a few others. Funny story goes with the Scooby Doo ride. My friend and I were stading in line, and I said "I wish we could walk trough the building". Sure enough, halfway through the ride, we come to a stop and the lghts turn on. After about fifteen minutes, we were approached by a ride op, and escorted through the rest of the ride. I got to push pen the big wooden doors, so that was fun. This past weekend, I was stuck on El Toro for about 10 minutes. It consisted of a lot of rolling backwards and forwards at the bottom of the lift. I love the reactions of those around me when a ride stops. On space mountain, we came to a stop on the first brake after the lift hill. We waited there for several minutes, and then the lights turned on. After about 10 minutes, we were escorted off of the train, and walked down to the elevator, and then through the bottom of the ride. It was a very cool experience. Later that night, we got stuck on Tower of Terror right before the drop area of the ride. We actually got to walk back through the ride, on the track. It was very cool getting to see the effect with the lights on.
  4. I was fortunate enough to ride both sides with both the lapbars and OTSR's. They both were great rides. Batmans' tophat going backwards was an incredible sensation.
  5. Very nice Trip Report! I really hope I can get back to Hershey next year. Your S'mores picture is nice, but I still think I hold the title for best S'mores picture...not to brag or anything. This picture is from this TR, http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37242. Best S'more EVER!!!
  6. Yea, it almost looks like a painting. While the current situation is really terrible, the picture is really good.
  7. http://www.dailynews.com/portlet/article/html/render_gallery.jsp?articleId=7249535&siteId=200&startImage=2 http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z308/thomaskelly427/sfmm_fire1.jpg I wonder if the park was open this weekend. These fires are really bad. I hope that nobody else dies from this.
  8. I believe it is SBNO. http://rcdb.com/id128.htm
  9. I have added a few pictures of the de-construction here, http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=475136.
  10. Here is a quick photo report from this past Sunday. The webbed entrance on the way out. Another well hidden guy in the Frontier area. A "slider" hiding behind a thick curtain of fog. The Log Flume are was definately the best scare zone. The few actors there did a GREAT job hiding, stalking, and scaring people. Nathans. Circus Psyco was nice, but had very few clowns. They definatley cut down on the number this year. The carousel looked nice at night. The clown is in the same spot as it has been for the past few years. There is a guy in that coffin, and he is covered with worms. He recieved a 2008 seasons pass for his efforts. The Wheel of Fright drew a large crowd, but it was difficult to see with the fog and people in the way. Another shot of the pole people. These two performers were amazing. Some of the stuff they did had me holding my breath. The circus in the Northern Star Arena was great. This was the motorcycle on a highwire act. Most of the costumes were pretty well done. Some of the gouls found good hiding places, and scared a lot of people. They had people working the crowd right after the dance. The Thriller dance was well choreographed. The Awakening parade was pretty good. They moved the ending to the DMP stage. The Blood Red Fountain and Graveyard around it looked great, as usual. They have yet to do any work on the observatory or station. This should all be gone in no time after the park closes. Invisible tophat. One of the greatest coaster elements used to be there. It looks so strange. Not going to be there for too much longer. So sad. More Dark Knight signage. Spike Most of Robins' Cobra Roll is gone. The Dark Knight signs are everywhere, even outside of the park, by the entrance. Not much has been done to the spike in the past few weeks. Most of Batmans' Tophat is gone.
  11. I believe that that would take a considerable amount of support re-designing. Both side rely on the other for structural integrity. I may be going out to the park on Sunday, and if I do, I'll be sure to take a few pictures of the progress.
  12. ^^^Too soon bigsteve, too soon. But still pretty funny.

  14. Yes. The park has said that it is on it's way out. The "kiss of death" spider has also landed on the roof of the station for Water Effect.
  15. Wow. That was very impressive. I wish American parks ran their Topspins with the kin of cycles other parks do. They are all so tame here.
  16. After doing some research, I have a few questions. Will these Dark Knight coasters be a themed clone of Cheetah Chase at BGA? http://rcdb.com/id2595.htm. It is the exact same length. It is made by the same company. It has a very similar ride time. It has six hairpin turns. The capacity is similar(I am guessing TDK will have 8 cars holding 4 people each). I hope that is not the case, but we shall see.
  17. ^^It is new to the park, but I do believe it is a relocated ride. ^I don't think that is the case, as they are also adding the Dark Knight coasters.
  18. While it is nice that they are getting a new ride, the name doesn't sit well with me. When I look at any B&M invert, Goliath is not the term that comes to mind.
  19. Partners not talking = feuding people = dueling people........It's a dueling Intamin Launch Coaster!!!! In all seriousness, I cannot wait until Thursday.
  20. I just opened this thread to see what it was. While reading the first page, I came across the above quoted post. It makes me laugh that he said he will keep it in mind as he breaks the rules he is "keeping in mind". No capitalization. Anyway, I do like reading these boards because the quality of posts is very high. I appreciate that.

  22. I just got back from the park. It is sad to see Chiller coming down. I will definately miss it. I have some pictures from the day, including Chiller Deconstruction. Say goodbye. I was bored. Obligatory KK shot. More Chiller...or would that be less Chiller? Nitro was running GREAT today. Happy Stuff Back to the sad stuff. Happy ET riders. Alright, enough of the sad stuff. I hope these rides don't go anywhere for a long time. Technical difficulties: Note the lack of track in the background. would that be considered "technical"? Reminds me of last off season. That blue piece of track never had a train with riders go over it. Next piece to go? Valley is gone. The crane, doing its thing.
  23. Thanks. That is my favorite picture too. It's a nice mix of artsyness* and coaster. *Totally made up word. Definition: containing artistic value.
  24. They did stack a few trains alot but they still managed to keep the line moving at a decent pace. I liked they way that they ran Maverick.
  25. We did have a great time. It was really nice to be so far away and visit so many parks. Camping was fun too. It got rough at one point where we kind of got lost, but that's a whole different story.
