With the midwest floods in June, there wasn't really a big warning, I went to bed the night before with wet pavement, and 4 hours later I had a island as a apt. And the midwest floods were spread out not all over .

Cypress Gardens...$5 Fridays!
spaceace12 replied to CoasterJunkie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wouldn't agree with that, while the park rides are not that great, it still is a nice little park. -
AND THEN THERE WERE NONE - WEEK 3

I voted for Wes and I am not afraid, I hired Chuck Norris as my personal protector. -
Just my thinking, I hope GG built this to withstand a Cat 2 winds, that is what will make landfall at this point. If it can withstand the wind, the only danger will be damaging electronics and motors. Hopefully the trains are in another town that is on higher ground. Motors and electronics can be replaced pretty quickly, I suppose. I think other than structural damage, the bullit could be up and running again real soon.

Cypress Gardens...$5 Fridays!
spaceace12 replied to CoasterJunkie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This deal is only for the few remain Fridays in Sept., Does this mean the park is in trouble.....well, I think it has been in trouble for a while. It could close, but who knows what is really going on with it. The land has been deeded or protected to be a amusement park, so I don't think there will be condo's there. The rides could leave, but the gardens are part of the state, I believe. -
This year has been absolutely terrible for me, golf wise. In June I got flooded out and moved 15 minutes away from the shortest course in town. In turn, I have been golfing twice this year. I may go probably 4 more times before winter hits. I plan on trying to golf in the snow because that sounds like fun (just have to use a non white golf ball, otherwise that would suck).

Astroland Rides for sale
spaceace12 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I need to get up there sometime, along with some FEC that has a kiddie coaster (Paige's Crossing I will use the excuse I was up there and went to the driving range since I can always work on my driving balls since mine hardly ever go straight). -
I am not much into music performing groups, but love listening to Marching bands. My favorite to listen to is Purdue's All American Marching band. They have a really big bass drum (I really want to see a Purdue Football gamet sometime soon).

Astroland Rides for sale
spaceace12 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Guess I will have to win the lottery tonight and buy all those rides and open up a Astroland tribute here in Indiana, maybe put a park between Indianapolis and Terre Haute (or in Indy) and get a small coaster and give Indy a park that it once could have gotten (Garfield park or somethign like that {it failed to even get off the ground}). -
UMMMMMMM RIIIIIBBBBBBSSSSSS. I haven't had much ribs, but just love the ribs that are so tender they just fall off the bone. Texas Roadhouse has them like this. I usually get steaks when I eat there, but my mom gets the ribs and I usually get some of the meat from her ribs.

Are you prone to experimenting with your PC?
spaceace12 replied to generaleclectic's topic in Random, Random, Random
I used to be a little geeky. I used to rebuild my computer once every year with atleast one new part or new processor or mobo every other year when something failed. Now, I just have a laptop that I just added ram to. I have a warrenty so I won't do anything to it. -

Astroland Rides for sale

Who ever took the pictures is a great photographer! I know that really doesnt' affect the sale, but wow, you would think they would see the finger in the view finder or after the picture had been taken. -
New Millionaire and Deal or No Deal Syndication
spaceace12 replied to CoastersNSich's topic in Random, Random, Random
Like Dr. Phil, four doctors talk to people having problems and fix them. Or atleast that is what I think it is from the promos I seen. I don't work during the shift the show is on. -
Your longest hiatus from riding a coaster?
spaceace12 replied to JDo217's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
24 years.....Granted, that was because I was afraid of them...Well, atleat 15, my mom said I have been on some kiddie ones at Kings Island or something, but I don't remember that. -

My station dumped Millionaire last year, Today it dumped Family Fued for a show called "The Doctors". -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njc91EX0jWY&feature=related I like it when he talks about riding coasters, but I can't find any clips of him doign that.

The official NFL Discussion Thread

Without Brady, lucky to make the playoffs. But that all depends on who they get behind Casssell. He isn't 100% out for season, won't know until tomorrow. I wonder if this will move the Pats/Colts game that was for Monday night or Sunday night in a few weeks. I really want to have my co workers earn some money by working games for CBS (well, I would like to work all of them, but that wouldn't be fair.). -
Official TPR Fantasy Football Thread

Well, my team might be looking for a new QB....Tom Brady went down and is questionable for the rest of the game. Farve is still looking good, but the Jets have no kicker. -
Roller Coaster Reality Show
spaceace12 replied to TheCoasterCritic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What about people losing weight to ride coasters and thigns in parks. A show like big brother where contestants have to do jobs in a park and get evaulated and kicked off.... Then again, beside the losing weight thing, I doubt anyone would be interested in watching. I guess there could be one about designing the next big coaster (or helping to design) -
Astroland is Dead
spaceace12 replied to Cygnus12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cyclone should operating and the Wonder Wheel is part of a seperate park. -
Geez if that heads into the gulf as a 3 and heads towards LA, they better be prepared to evacuate again. Probably more people won't return(there is already one family living in Southern Indiana who said they won't return).

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
spaceace12 replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFSTL getting three coasters in 3 years, I very much doubt it. It sounds like park fans saying things because I have seen that discussion thread and it looks like a fairy tale. I think SFSTL is getting a coaster, but maybe a water coaster like deluge or something. The water park seems small, so that will be the next expansion considering the water park will be 10 years old next year. -
I wonder if he went to the beach to get photos of the storm coming in.....in all seriousness, I been wondering also. It could be his power is out, internet is out, or something else. He hasn't posted since the 31st of August.
