  1. I think you should also. She goes to Universal quite a bit.
  2. In the end, I have realized that Wes won't die, so I won't try to kill him this week. I want to see a mod vs. mod fight, so bye bye nat.
  3. If you sent one, lets get a good count on what states were sent. 1. Indiana 2. 3.
  4. I wonder if Arnold will be the first rider?
  5. If you did that trip on a weekend... I would most def. join in. I have never been to KI, but I might visit IB if it was with someone (maybe next year will be better), I already got the Kombo credit at the zoo, but don't have the Sea Serpent in Greenfield. Also up in northern Indiana is a another FEC with a coaster. The place is called Paige's crossing. http://www.rcdb.com/id3620.htm
  6. Clicking on anything on the internet....I just crapped myself by opening up this thread. (that was a joke). On top of heights, one thing that is scaring the crap out of me right now is the fear of me falling on a motorcycle once I get one. I know I will probably drop a bike atleast once, but I know this will go away once I start riding more. I rode my friends vulcan 900 over the weekend in a parking lot at about 10mph and it was fun. One thing I cant stand is getting shots. Having blood drawn is no problem, but shots just freak me out. Probably why I try not to even go into hospitals, nursing homes, or anything like that unless forced too.
  7. Until i see something saying that the 3 million in debt is paid off, this park is always going to be in trouble. It is nice seeing the park open again, but I can't see how leasing what was leased would bring in enough to make a dent into the debt.
  8. Yes, there should, if someone doesn't like what you post, they don't have to read it.
  9. I thought SFMM had that covered already? Looks like a fun ride though.
  10. Heights. (can't wait to ride TTD). And I ove having Mayo or Miracle Whip on my sandwhiches.
  11. I watch NCIS, The Unit, CSI Miami, Storm Chasers, Ice Road Truckers, Axe Men, Little People, big world, The Mentalists as much as I can. Right now I have to watch The unit via CBS's video page until Time Warner puts my station back on (no CBS station on my local cable system because they are too cheap to pay for it).
  12. For me, on wooden coasters. 1. Airtime 2. Re ridability 3. smoothness, not super smooth though. My top two coasters are wooden. Voyage (great airtime, moderate rerideable, somewhat smooth) Evel Knivel (floater air throughout, ejector air in front, very re ridable, super smooth. Raven (good airtime, easily re rideable, almost smooth throughout). As for steel, I haven't ridden very many steels that made quite an impression as those three woodies has.
  13. Water. It was ran on it before, turbines were below the mill that run belts. Belts turn the machinery. At some point, electricity was run to run the mill. Some mills ran on water power from a wheel.
  14. Here is the bridge pictures. I don't have any digital pictures of the old bridge. Thanks for viewing...any comments? How the bridge was joined at joints. The under side of the bridge. Just looks neat. Not too long after the siding was put on. Just after the bridge shell had been moved onto the abudments.
  15. You couldn't have cameras in the park? Did you see a rule stating that? That doesn't sound right.
  16. I took a short trip up to Bridgeton, IN to go to the Covered Bridge Festival. It was originally a festival to celebrate the counties covered bridges. Now, the festival is getting more commercialization. More flea market and mass produced thing instead of home made items people trying to sell. There is another town not far from Bridgeton where it basically is a giant flea market. Anyway, another gripe from me is the out of town food vendors. These a basically carnies who travel from show to show to make money. I normally do not buy from these folks and only buy from the locals so the money stays local. Anyway, rant over, here is some pictures. I took all these pictures with my 100 dollar camera. My big camera would have done better, but oh well. This one I like because of the old Thunderbird sitting there (or a corvette, I don't know which one it is). I also believe this is the owner of a local bank's house. WTF? Look at that winshield...I mean barn door. I love the style of this cruiser. Motorcycles are my new drug. This one looks awesome. One thing I hate is all the people that come to the festival, and I also like it since my mom makes money that way also. The new bridge. I have some pictures of the new bridge on my portable hd as it was being built and will upload those later. The mill is returning to water power. The water inlet was just recently chizzed out again. Not too long after the bridge was cleaned up, it was decided to build another one. The old one was not publicly owned. So the owner of the mill had to build it. Soon people were donating money to help. Then people were donated trees, then a tree harvesting company donated to get those trees. Then a couple people with big saws donated time to cut up those trees. Then people donated time to help build those trees. By festival time 2006, the new bridge was in place. With no Gov't money, the bridge was built in less than a year. And it cost less than 500k (I think around 200k) to build spray paint picture making. April 2005, the bridge goes up in flames. The original bridge. Some idiot decided it would be a good idea to light it on fire and destroy in 2005. He was caught before he almost burnt down another bridge not too far away. They should burn him. The bridge and dam. If you look to the right of this picture, you will see the lower portion of the dam is a solid wall. That is new, the mill owner is working on diverting the water to that side so he can cut out the wood that the dam is made out of to make this a wall straight across. Then after that is complete, he is going to crown it on the top and the dam will be the way it was built back when it was new. Once the top is done, the whole area under the bridge will be just water, instead of two water ways. the mill produced corn meal. the machine that takes corn and makes is powder. The scale out in front of the mill. The old mill in town. Currently ran on electricity. better, but still think it is factory produced things. JUNK! My ride to get up to the festival....or not. Though on the way I couldn't help but think how much fun a motorcycle would be on this back road to get there. It was full of turns that would be real fun on a bike. Why not start out on the whole reason I made this trip. The best ham and cheese around. Texas toast bread with a big helping of ham. The person who runs this booth is a real nice guy. I worked for him at the festival a few years ago. Since then he has boguht the property and built perm. buildings.
  17. ^^I didn't vote for you, but it seems as though socalman is gone at this point. Leaving two mods and you, at that point, I would see you go first so the mods fight to the death.
  18. Here is a neat place I pass quite a bit. Taken with my 100 dollar camera.
  19. Nice TR My sisters one and only big coaster to this point is CG's Roller Skater...and she hated it. I paid her a digital camera to ride it (the camera is at the moment broken). On TH, did you find out about the final curve the hard way? When I rode, I was on the inside of the curve until I started going through it and I was instanstly thrown to the outside. The next5 times I rode, I learned my lesson. I wasn't a credit whore the day I was there adn did everything in 2 hours and left.
  20. I got my motorcycle permit....now if I only had a bike....and a helmet.
  21. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/16/nyregion/16coney.html?_r=1&ref=nyregion&oref=slogin NYC should buy Astroland and keep it from being Condos.
  22. Third times a charm right? Then tomorrow is the day I will be officially able to ride a motorcycle since I will take the permit test for the third time (then 30 days after I get it, I will get my license since I don't have to take the riding class). Study time.
  23. I need a coaster that goes with Chuck Norris.
  24. Yeah my team hasn't won anything in 100 years, and they didn't do anything this year...oh well, go Colts.
  25. I couldn't see them at first, then they showed up. Nice pictures.
