  2. Next up is general park photos. Next time your at the park, take the time to look at the flowers. A lady that has worked at the park since 1954, and she is 96 and still drives, does the flowers in the park year round. Here is a article on her. http://www.courierpress.com/news/2007/may/04/park/ Me being artsy on my picture Finally, the applause award fountain Next up. Blue Flash II construction photos.
  3. Today was Holiday World’s opening day and I decided to go down for a couple hours. Mainly to get some coaster rides and new attraction rides in and get some pics of the new stuff. Some of the new stuff includes a new game, a tilt a whirl (named Turkey Whirl), and Plymouth Rock Café (not open yet). Lets start out with the new Game. It is a high tech variation of the classic shoot the water into the target to win. The high tech part is that instead of a mechanical moving indicator of where you are, it is led lights. The game costs only 2 dollars and if 2 or more people play, you get a large plush toy, less than two, a small one. This is the game setup. It is located in front of Gobbler Getaway in the middle of the walkway. And this is the tubes for indicators. Next up is Turkey Whirl. If you didn’t know, when thanksgiving was added, they took out the original tilt a whirl and a new one was slated for last year. It got cut. They put a turkey themed one. Finally, the new, but not opened Plymouth Rock Café, this is located at the end of the pathway in thanksgiving, right next to the Voyage. A inside peak. The sign And the food prices Next up is Bakuli. A enclosed tube with a Bowl at the end. Since the water park is not open, all pics were taken from outside and are not that great. They did run Bakuli as the HW lifeguards are getting trained on it. Bakuli through the trees. I was wondering if they were going to put in a viewing platform like they did for Zinga, and yes they did. Also in the picture you see the escape tube. It has a water fall so expect maximum soaking. Another new thing in Splashin Safari is a new Toddler/kid slide play area. More photos coming.

  14. Wow, that blues brothers car look too nice. No numbers or dents, just ruined it for me. elwood and jake would be ashamed.
  15. Yes, I went today. I wasn't specifically talking about the lines. Those were okay for what I expected. I was just talking about the long ques to get to the line. As in Batman, you have to walk through so many curves, like it is a park, it would be okay if it was a long line. But there was no shortcut. The boss had this long walk of a que. Seemed as long as the ride. BTW, I was wearing a orangish yellow Voyage shirt, if you saw me. I did see Tony Hawk had quite a bit of train stacking, but that might be the norm with loading two trains at once.
  16. I had recently purchased a six flag season pass, but needed to get it processed at Six Flags in Saint Louis. Since Holiday World was still closed, I decided to go today. Most of the coasters I liked. A few I didn't. Mr. Freeze: Mr. Freeze is a Launched Shuttle coaster. After being launched you go through a top hat (go upside down) and then around a curve. Then you go straight up and do it all again backwards. Fun coaster. The Boss: Wooden coaster. I can stand wood coasters roughness because they are wood, but after riding the boss, wow, that was terribly rough. Screamin Eagle: Wooden Coaster. After Boss, I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if they have repainted it recently in the off season or if it still looks good from a paint job sometime in the past. But the red, white and blue paint job is nice. Also, the coaster wasn't as rough as Boss. Tony Hawks Big Spin: Steel coaster with spinning cars. Fun little ride, def. a family ride and not allot of thrills. Ninja: Steel Coaster. The last steel coaster that looped I was on I got dizzy and didn't really enjoy it, so getting on this coaster, I didn't know what to expect. What I got was a great ride. The only thing I didn't like was the restraints. Batman: Sitdown, suspended coaster. Fun ride. MAde me dizzy, but it wasn't just me. Overall, Being my first six flags park I visited, I liked it. Some of the ques were way too long, boss and batman just to name a few. I will be going back sometime this summer since I got a season pass. My only gripe, Food prices. For papa johns cheese sticks, three of them, 3.49. I did buy a souvenir bottle for 8.99, but refills are only a dollar and it is supposedly for all six flags parks.
  17. They have been there since 05. Basically like any other salvageable part from SFAW, storage until six flags decides to do something, I suppose.
