Yeah, never been much of a Disney fan.. but DisneySea was a park i had to see and it did not disappoint I'll keep an eye on flights to Tokyo and Disney Hotel prices for a few more months Is it time for the next Japan trip yet??? Awesome

Day 5: Universal Studios Japan Home to the most amazing Jaws ever A fun B&M called Hollywood Dream. Space Fantasy, a classic called Backdraft and so many other amazing things to do and look at Yeah, i was very impressed by the park and had a great time there. Attached a bunch of pictures from that day posted in the order they have been taken. Feel free to post comments Any idea where we're heading?? i think i've seen that creature before... yeah, we made it Loved the welcoming group Hard Rock cafe I guess it's party time nice entrance area traffic in the background backstage area look at the coaster and nets ok, park is open. Let's check out the place Monster show?? water slide complex awesome for that price.. what can you expect? credit time pretty (i guess) no die in, wrong season i guess.. yes, these came in handy Space Fantasy, what a fun ride Check it out if you get the chance bubbels are always fun this looks familiar street entertainment at least we were not alone in the park Backdraft last time i got to see this was during my first US visit in 2000 (Hollywood) i was just waiting for the flames... (i miss Halloween) Japan sitting down while waiting for a show big coaster just chilling and enjoying the view aaarrgghhhh lovely job on the theming This was just awesome some kids loved it and some were terrified but everybody was trying to get pictures that's a big one nah, seen it in Orlando and Hollywood. I'll skip this one I've heard some amazing stories... did i mention yet how awesome the view was? across the water ok, back to Amity Yes, this is Jaws no pictures from/on the boats allowed.. Go ride it another coaster angle inside backdraft.. trying some things with the new camera fire and sparks = good do we ever have enough coaster pictures? coaster fun let's ride space fantasy another time and don't forget about Spiderman ok, time to get some more coaster images.. first drop fun turnaround over the entrance area covered area impressive structure wait.. something is different here.. i think... another coaster image (with train) checked out jaws another time they look so happy wait?? this is inside a themepark?? wth?? awesome area to sit down, relax and watch folks on a coaster if you wanted to and yes, you could get pretty close to it as well i guess this was a show structure happy riders second row.. ehm.. confused.. stupid tree random folks hairtime scream if you like it awesome hair somebody got hit in the eye? don't get me started on the glasses here they go plenty of hairtime here as well 1915?? ehm?? bye bye dream, it was fun with an o Thanks for reading

Time for another update, hope you still enjoy them.. Day 4: Mitsui Greenland. A very big park (compared to a lot of other Japan parks) with plenty of things to do. Biggest plus.. McDonald's in the park Spent a quite some time there enjoying the AC Yeah, another bullet train credit first look at the park.. owh my.. yeah.. slc time.. greendland first check of the day, never opened.. but this did not bad, not bad at all i think i've seen this before in some pictures.. empty station.. and no train near the pink track... hairtime looks like some folks walked around the other way yeah, something seems awkward in this image just look at those people on the train, awesome attraction longest line of the day for this ride ehmm yeahh behind the scene RUN!!!! something is missing here.. i'm pretty sure they could put it together in a couple of hours... green and plenty of space ok, that looks interesting.. chairlift thingy spin mouse that hardly spun (i think) just another look at the park guess there will be no boats today.. not sure what this is/was.. weird, very weird looking ride.. another angle looking back towards the alpine slide area twister fun ingenious construction SLC faces, don't forget to check the onride Robb posted view from the top of the alpine slide area nice patch job from high up in the air another part of the park one last look at the alpine slide I'm having a blast

So after a lot of fun at Kijima is was time or the second park that day. Day 3 (part two): Wonder Rakutenchi Another lovely park with an amazing view (downhill) especially later that day. Fun coaster and a lot of animal related things (zoo/petting/birds etc) which i apparently did not take pictures of (bummer) Owh yeah.. and another fine example of TPFail It was a fun afternoon this looks pretty awesome yeah, some folks are always trying to get in the picture... all aboard park map it's green and orange and there are/is clouds/fog let's follow the other yeah, credit time how's it going TP? lots of happy people and TP... ehm... even more ehm... yeah.. i'm not going to say another here... look, there's the big man himself how's it going there? interesting contraption.. did not take a ride on it... but reminded me of a movie.. yeah, the fog/clouds is/are leaving the bridge... just to give you an idea of this park looking downhill that thing must present one very interesting view.. view platform ok, one more.. just because i like it it's kind of blurry but i think this is steve looking at something next to his pedal thing.. why is TP holding on to his pocket??? owh wait?? what is this thing Steve was looking at?? owh my, it's a wallet.. TPFail Japan customer service to the rescue yeah.. we see you TPFail.. you can't escape a happy TPFail and his wallet and yes, this was so hilarious (at that time) that Elissa wet herself ok, back to some other things in the park.. kiddie logflume ehm, Big Mike don't flip the "boat" by this time the sun was out and just look at this view one last look at the park

the hill was still there (and track) but i did not see any zorbs.. Maybe it's seasonal or maybe it is/was removed.. don't know. And yes, any park is fun with TPR

Day 3 part one: Kijima This would be a 2 park day and some more bullet trains. First stop was Kijima, home of one of the few woodies in Japan and other fun rides. Up "high" in the mountains the surrounding view was sometimes stunning Anyway, hope you enjoy a few of the pictures i took at this park. As usual, pictures are posted in the order that they were taken After a fun train ride we made it to this train station yeah, new transport "credit" in Japan, Bus time that looks interesting (would be our second stop of the day but more on that in another update) interesting structure... reminded me of a ramp for the ski flying/jumping people.. driving into the "unknown" yeah we made it first stop of the day they look so tiny still waiting for that train... how's it going?? poor TPdave... watch out for the bug Erik next stop ride layout (or most of it) here they come time to chill and relax funky train cars hmm, looks like we'll miss a credit.. guess i'll have to back to Japan powered coaster time bye bye car yeah TP, we're watching you ehm... not for the weak of heart folks.. i think.. another look at a car from the ride yeah, no train for the next couple of hours/days/weeks.. looks like fun though ok, time for something totally different woodie time more woodie how's the track looking?? just in case you wondered where we are today... here they go ehmm, happy/pain/... bye bye.. let's zoom in a little lovely theming yeah, don't you think i might do that.. no way.. next train... how's it going Divv ?? skloosh with fountains view from a little higher in the air.. just to give you an idea of the surroundings i spy TPR members going up... and i guess this is going down lonely rider hmm, might want to keep an eye on this... going up... and going down lovely have fun folks going up... thank you for riding Jupiter we could always end with a "bang"

Day 2: Space World Home to Venus, which is a Maurer Söhne awesome intense looping coaster. Zaturn which is an Intamin rocket coaster (Stealth clone) and Titan which looks pretty big. I managed to do something wrong to my body that morning so i decided to skip Zaturn and Titan (stupid me) Guess i'll have to go back someday (win ) Managed to get all the other credits in before it started raining this day. I do not have pictures of all the rides at this park (and things to look at) It just feels good to sometimes just walk around a park and not worry about taking pictures all the time. Being in Japan and trying to take in everything felt more important at this time (or was it the jetlag or my hurting body?) Anyway, hope you like them. Feel free to comment just a random view during the train ride not sure what this is, but found it intriging to see at a train platform not our stop yeah owh wait, i think this looks like a coaster we made it Space World norides?? what?? no rides?? ehm... here we go happy riders?!?!?! behind the scenes yup, looks like a fun ride ehm... can the window open on this one?? here they come... hold on and have fun folks that looks familiar next stop ehm?? wth?? launch fun yup, looked like fun next train, hold on folks gravity can be annoying yeah, looks a lot like stealth (Thorpe Park, UK) confused.... but wait, there's more time for a photo lap and this "standard" picture log flume another look at Titan titan train darn it, i failed timing this please ask Steve what happened inside area random inside theming

At this moment i would have to say Disney Sea. I don't see myself as a Disney fan.. but darn it.. this place was just amazing (wait untill you see the pictures ) Mad?? They are awesome within 5 minutes i got to see 2 things (how people interacted and dressed) i had only seen in videos of previous trips and assured me i was really there. Just awesome pretty sure he was just running to get in the picture while there was nobody else standing there sorry, i did not take nearly enough pictures there i think (must have been the jetlag) If i could go back next week... i would... sigh

After arrival day there was a day of relaxing, checking out the area and getting used to Japan before starting the trip. See this link to get an idea about that day anyway, on to official day 1 of the Southern trip. This was a travel day (my first experience with the Shinkansen (aka bullet train)) and we also made it to Kashiikaen. I miss Japan i'm not kidding, i really do. After seeing all the reports from previous years and visits by TPR i was really happy to see Japan being offered in 2011. No matter what, i had to do this trip and see Japan and experience what all the fuzz was about. Anyway, while trying to deal with missing Japan (and looking up prices etc to go back) i decided i should try to create some sort of trip report from the pictures i took during this trip. Just to keep myself busy and hopefully you entertained Arrival day After a long travel day (not going to talk about my flight, flat tire on the plane and so on) i made it to Japan and got my first experience of efficiency when arriving at the airport. It took 20 minutes to get from the plane, pick up my bags, get through customs and immigration, have my bags shipped to the first hotel and buy a ticket to get to Tokyo Disney. 20 minutes folks!! i'm not kidding. wow The reason for going to Disney was 2 fold, staying awake to prevent jetlag (as much as possible) and the parks rehab schedule. Here's a few images from this day (did not take that many as i knew i would be back) , enjoy and feel free to comment. So this was not just a Disney hotel, but also the monorail station. Did not even notice that when taking this picture with my sleepy head... First view inside the park yes Main street area Castle Nice shaded area with plenty of shops and other things to do it's a castle found this interesting (for some reason) anyway, there's today's target and the last picture from today's visit to the park. Guess i was too impressed to grab the camera View from the hotel room that evening
