  1. Well the Pictures in the ECC First Drop Magazine that I recreated this coaster of are of an Intamin designed coaster, so dr.gumbo is perfectly right. But then again if I send it to Intamin they wouldn't have to make one for showing of the ride.
  2. dr.gumbo - Check PM Steffen_Dk - Thanks Sparebear75 - I only did what Intamin designed.
  3. There is a dedicated bus between the airport and the central station, then there is multiple ways to get between the central station, bus, tram or walk. Walking isn't really a problem and doesn't take to long, just have some sense of direction and a good map, and Hotel Liseberg is on the way between.
  4. ^^ I use a all white environment, I'm not sure where I got it though. ^ Thanks!
  5. Designed after pictures of an Intamin 12 looper shown in FD, and with some statistics from the Intamin web page I have been able to pre-create a coaster with the help of these. The ride comes in to variations, one launched and one with a lift-hill. The layout can be described as: Lift/Launch > turnaround > Norwegian loop > bunny hop > boomerang > loop > 2 corkscrews > turnaround > bunny hop > 2 corkscrews > turnaround > bunny hop > turnaround > 2 inline twists > turnaround > inline twist into brake. Pictures: Norwegian Loop First of the 4 corkscrews Inline-twist Turn after launch Airtime-hill Enjoy!! 12looplaunch.nltrack 12looplift.nltrack
  6. I have started to notice that the Intamin P&P:s have becomed pretty rough on the turns. There was a big difference between a axel-row then on the non axel-row on Balder at the end of the season, and on the helix on Colossos 2 years ago were really bad almost painful, hopefully they will be able to get this sorted. But it will be good to ride this puppy on it's first year.
  7. ^ Yeah it looks like it. Here is the link to the article, with pictures of the ride. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-01/22/content_7473661.htm
  8. The one on Hershey is a chain lift due to the fact that the lift is vertical, which means that it needs a stronger lift chain since the whole weight of the train hangs from it. But on more "normal" coaster lifts I think that they have started to move from chains due to cable-lifts are less complicated. 9. I know the tunnel testing sucked, but they would only be a problem if two trains were intersecting at that point. Otherwise, the clearence doesn't pose an issue The brake after the station is the transfer track. If you look at other Euro Fighters, they use small segments of track that pivot on a single support axis. You're right about those supports, though Well even if it will never occur a run with 2 trains on that piece that is way too close, but health and safety would never approve to the design, and you had supports that were sticking far into the tunnels which are as equally bad. Ok, but after taking a look on other Euro Fighters I see that every transfer track is straight, and your is not. And my point was that those kind of brakes and LIM does not work on a curved track. Which makes your track even more wrong. When we are talking about brakes and stuff, then you should use only LIM brakes on your final brake run, and friction wheels instead of LIMs on the 2 bloks before the station.
  10. Good coaster, very realistic. But: The clearances are really bad, tunnel-test multiple times during construction. The brake after the station isn't realistic, you can't have that kind of brake on a turn, if you need a block/transport, add one with just kicker wheels. The two supports before the MCBR that is over the helix below (pic 6 on the right side), needs a brace between the poles just beneath the tubes that attach them to the track, or it will not be a realistic support (ie. it will break IRL).
  11. http://www.themepark21.com/t-express/ New update. First drop structure is up and waits for track, the only segments of supports left are the first airtime hill. The drop looks really phenomenal, can't wait.
  12. I ordered a new monitor for my computer, 24" widescreen for a price of 1100$. Mmmm, can't wait to plug it in.
  13. Looks nice, but: These things are still bothering me.
  14. The Korea trip sounds nice, but 5:am I thought that you guys were going to arrive around same time as last year.
  15. ^ Interesting, since Elissa posted: in the T-Express thread (http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=488872#488872)

  17. But then again, we tolerate much more positive forces then negative ones, so you can design a tighter pullout. But it's probably because of the angle of the picture. But I know someone that is going to Djurs Sommerland to take pictures of the clone of this one this weekend, and he could probably get a better picture of the drop to clarify things.
  18. Another new update: http://blog.naver.com/fl0621/80046803084 They had made some progress on the lift and turn, started to do the drop and there is also a bunch of pictures of the station area. The ride just gets better and better.
  19. Seems like no one have posted anything on this page for quite some time now, so here is a quick update. A few days after the new year I found this picture on www.tobuzoo.com and they say that the ride will open on the 2:nd of March. Today I found a blog-entry made yesterday with a bunch of photos of Heart Beat. Some are when they were installing parts of the drop, other like the one below and some pictures of the ride in general. Picture above and more picture is found at: http://nuri.at.webry.info/200801/article_8.html
  20. ^ True Too bad that the accelerometer malfunctioned before the launch. ROFLMAO Well i will at least be there on of the day though, if there is a new Japan trip in 2009 I'll go on that one (especially if it's going to the north part of the country). Not sure about Scandinavia though, Have been to most of the parks already, and the rest are pretty easy to get to, but I might meet up on some places.
  21. ^^ I think I might be the first one to post any big Korea update, I just wished I had taken more pictures. But I still ended up with around 750 pictures in the whole report. ^ Yeah the love was in the air (no I'm not gay) (no problem)
  22. ^^^ Thanks. I'm glad you liked them. ^ Yeah, it was basically now or never, and since I wanted to be done with it before I left for school this Monday morning, so I stayed up late to finish it, last part were posted at 5:05 AM (no point to go to bed now). About the 747. I looked at the boarding pass an noted that it said "upper" and asked Tom what that meant, he had no idea, and when we got on and they said upper floor, I just thought "sweet" at that point.
  23. September 24:rd Day 25, The final stretch Coasters in total = 117 The final day, meant that it was time to go to the airport, check in and then take the long flight home. I miss you all so much. And I really want to return to Japan and Korea, this is the most awesome area of the world. And this was the final part of the report, I hope you have enjoyed it, I know I did. Peter Löfstrand Pictures: Our hotel for the final night The bus to the airport The flight home Ps. I'm working on a return later this year.
  24. September 23:rd Day 24, The way home and Intamins Extra coasters = 3 Coasters in total = 117 We begun our travel back home early that morning, and while checking in I was if I would like to change to a JAL flight instead because they had overbooked the flight we were going with. The new flight would arrive 1 hour earlier which was a good thing, since me and Tom were heading for Tobu Zoo that day, since we couldn't make our connections the same day we left Korea, so we had to stay a day in Tokyo before we got home. We were thinking about going back to DinseySea since Raging Spirtits had reopened, but thus would be pretty expensive (even with an evening pass), so we decided to go to Tobu Zoo instead. There we had 3 coasters, and maybe be able to a glimpse of Heart Beat. So we said goodbye to everyone and got on our JAL flight, we were seated on an exit row on the Upper deck of a 747 so we had plenty of legroom, and with a giggly Japanese flight attendant that was sitting in a chair facing us on the opposite side of the emergency exit, mad this experience very pleasant. At Narita we made a quick run through the system and put our bags in the baggage facilities before leaving towards the station and try and get going as soon as possible. We managed to get on the wrong train, but we only lost 30 minutes by doing this, we on the other hand sawed a few Yen. Well at the park we headed for Regina (the best woodie on the trip), then Crazy Mouse (one of the looping mouses by Togo) an to finish it all of with the small kiddy coaster Tentomushi. Regina was really good and a positive surprise, maybe not the most airtime but had plenty of speed through the ride. The Looping mouse was something new for us, pretty cool experience, but the rest of the layout was both a bit boring and painful. Tentomushi was just another Zierer Tivoli coaster. We managed a few rides on the droptower and also a quick run through one of their newly opened mirror mazes with some added quests on the way, pretty cool really. We also noticed that they had erected some steel of Heart Beat, so we took some photos to make a quick construction update when we returned home. And when the park closed we had to hurry back to Narita to make the last transfer to our hotel. Pictures: Top floor on one of these you say, sure This is the goal Entrance Regina running Some strange ride A kick ass drop tower More Regina A pretty nice woodie Entry to Regina There is the looping mouse There goes the fun train Almost there Loop-di-looop You know it My computer didn't really like the ride Such a small loop Tentomushi This thing had a mean stop to it Can't wait There is something in there Up the Ferris Wheel we got a picture out the air vents of Regina Heart Beat through the air vents This thing had the strangest loading I have ever seen, the ride-op just placed people randomly G-max Strange mirror maze thing We had to find a ball with the same weight as the one in the beginning, but failed Bye Regina, you are a fine ride
  25. September 22:st Day 23, My first Sky Coaster Coaster today = 8 Missed coaster = 2 Extra coaster = 1 Coasters in total = 114 On the last day of the Korean Adventure we were supposed to go to 3 parks, Seoul Land, Childrens Grand park and Dream World. But Robb found out that Dream World had closed both their coasters, so we came up with the idea of heading a tiny park called Marine World instead. But first on the menu was Seoul Land. This palace is home to a bunch of strange rides, a wild mouse with full size Arrow track (a ride that looks a bit home made to me), an corkscrew coaster with it's inversions way up in the air, another looper with some bizarre theming in one of it's tunnels and a Flume ride with a pirate "peeing" in the water. They had a cool haunted walk trough as well, with live actors and other scary stuff, we had no idea of what it's was all about or what anyone said, but it was kind of cool. I also lost my Sky Coaster virginity in this park, a totally awesome experience. Next up was Marine World, home of a small coaster that looks like a Pinfari, feels like a Pinfari bit isn't, which means that Pinfari isn't the best company to copy a ride from. Her we also found a "Bouncy Bouncy" which were running in a manual mode which meant for a crazy ride. The last park was a large recreational area with a small attraction section in the back, there was a Meisho Looper with those tiny trains we had encountered before. It also looked like they didn't really have any height restrictions on the ride, because there was a few kids on the ride so short that their heads were under the OSTR:s. Scary. Todays dinner was a Barbecue again, mainly since we had loved it so much the time before. It was a great way to finish of this experience. A big thanks to Robb and Elissa from me, for arrange this massive trip, and I hope to see you all again soon!!!!!! Pictures: Black Hole 2000 High up in the sky Columbia Double Loop Tiny trains Strange mouse Rocket Food, is that like Hydrazine? This one wasn't too painful I have no idea what this is Special Price just for you Wiii Marine World Childrens Grand Park Map 88 Train Random rides in the area The get screwed part
