Underrated Coasters?
MagicMountainMan replied to Yero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think that Thunder Run at SFKK is underrated. When I was about to go on it I thought I was going to get a beat down because of the violent looking 180 degree turn right after the first drop but man was I wrong! Thunder Run is one of those wooden coasters that's violent, but standable. (Not like Ghostrider... That just plain sucks) Infact, the violence and the rattling really adds to the ride! I rode it at least 5 times last summer and that's my favorite coaster at the park. Good airtime, (but I have nothing to base airtime off of because I live in CA...) lots of rattling, and a well paced ride. -

This park looks so good! And I like how you're sticking to a time period of sorts. It makes it feel like a real park! Also, if you want to hide the menus to take snapshots instead of cropping them just re-name a guest David Walsh and then press Ctrl & U at the same time and that should do the trick. To get the menus back, just press the same thing once more. Just thought it would help you out! -

This is an excellent park! I really love the realism of it. There aren't too many RCT3 parks out there that have this kind of realism! Are you on Windows Vista? Vista screws up the billboard thing... -

^Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing... What CS set is that? But it looks really good! I'm glad that someone is finally taking advantage of RCT3 Wild! Ha ha. -
B&M Zero-G Elements Question
MagicMountainMan replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I definitely agree that Batman doesn't have the greatest Zero G roll in the world. It's more of like a quick snap then a drawn out floater inversion. Scream doesn't have the snap and on Scream you can really feel the 0 g's. So I just think it depends on the actual design of the ride, but I have noticed that inverts seem to have more of a snap to them. -
Looks really good! I just need to get No Limits installed on my new computer... I don't have the install file and I need to know how to get it onto my new comp! Have any suggestions? B.T.W. You're youtube trailer was amazing! Great editing! As for the ride itself, I'll have to patiently wait and see. But are you going to upload it to coastersims? That's where I originally saw this coaster. EDIT: Nevermind... I see it up there now. No one has rated it yet. I thought it would be in the top ten coasters of the week.

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
MagicMountainMan replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^I actually got an A on it! But I do think that I should have said velocity, not 'speed' because you are right, there are many other things that could be interpreted as speed. Well I learn something new everyday. -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
MagicMountainMan replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well now I'm completely confused. I did research for a science project and it stated that more weight doesn't effect speed (if there are no other variable conditions) but rather the degree of the fall effects acceleration/total speed more directly. And my project was on how weight effects roller coasters.
