Nickelodeon Universe (MOA) Discussion Thread

Hmm. ALl the "nature" in this is being taken out AFTER Cedar Fair is out of the picture but yet they are the ones with the concrete jungle reputation. I will wait till everything gets done, but I fear this park is losing all the charm it once had. -
No Limits 2?

New train types are not as exciting as new coaster types, after all, you can get the overall feel of a coaster with a similar train, but the feel from a new coaster type is very different. We could have never gotten the feel of a spinner before those were introduced. -
We can suck together because I also lack a middle name.

Lincoln Park today with Pics
Moose replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Rocky Point (in RI) lasted a bit longer, but it too is gone today. It's coasters and rides were salvaged (they were steel), but its buildings and funhouse were left for vandals and arsonists to demolish. -
I have no idea where this one is from, but for ride experience... I can tolerate these, but turn all sorts of shades of green, blue, and purple for the ones where you face the center of the thing.

Thank you for your very kind thanking of Kyle and I. I appreciate your hugegantic number of ginourmouses in this segment.
-
^ as was my response. Though i do think the seats are surprisingly expensive.
-
I heard the acid in the puke ate through the seat so it had to be replaced. It's amazing how much they get for those seats.
-
They didn't exactly rock all that hard. The energy on the stage was really lacking. The coolest part of the halftime show were the net screens in the background. The screens were also the most dynamic part of the show.

No Limits 2?

I too would absolutey love the for arrow suspendeds to be added but i am guessing the programming for those would be difficult (though i am not sure how much more difficult than spinning coasters) I have always wanted to build these rides myself, and the RCT version's track selection is far too limited for my liking. -
Guster - Airport Song gotta love the ping pong balls.

Nürburgring launched coaster

Nothing like the Vekoma concept. Me thinks someone just got confused and posted that when they heard about a coaster themed to racing (that wasn't TTD) -

Just because a coaster company had a concept similar to what this is being described as does not mean that it is any more or less likely to be a reality. -

There was mist on the balcony? And how could you call a zig zag uneventful? It was the most exciting part of the ride It's great to hear they are improving things. -

I DO NOT like the name of that first beer. Great report. You two are just too cute. -

It looks fast and fun to me. Yes there are no airtime hills, but there aren't airtime hills on racetracks either. -
*shrug* it seems to fit with the rest of the city in that picture. I don't like the "wing points," besides that the thing doesn't scream architectural atrocity at me.

The thing I am most excited about is the change of the Ghost Hunt cars. That line moved painfully slow. It was always the longest line of the day for me. Now it will only be half as painful. I hope they didn't neuter Dash too much. He was running great this season. -

No there is not. The webpage states that they will not be released until AFTER the poll is closed. -
Mitch Hawker's Steel Poll
Moose replied to yankees15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^Perhaps group by parks, with the actual order of the parks randomized? I like how Mitch is not releasing the ballots until after the results are posted. My list changed quite a bit with Abismo, Spanish Supes, Dragon Kahn, and yes, even the pickpocket Baco making into my top 20. Ramses being missing didnt matter too much for me since it made me terribly ill. Me not ranking it will probably help it. I still have no idea why I went from enjoying it to on the verge of puking all of a sudden. -

Montaña Rusa all the time. I wish i would have asked this before we went to spain. I had a hard time finding out what the word for coaster actually was. The woman that i work with had never even heard the term before. Great looking park! -

They don't necessarily have more friction, but they will most likely have more air resistance which would slow the train more than an equal weight smaller area train. I suspect that these trains actually weigh more than a standard train so the increased air resistance will probably be balanced out by their increased momentum. -
^holy shamoley, When i bought mine, they were about 80, Granted, that is about 12 years ago, but still, what could they have added to make it that much more expensive? I just got a TivoHD with a lifetime subscription. Total, about $600 eek! But it was totally worth it.
