  1. I think that Europa Park needs a non sit-down coaster with some cool inversions.
  2. I thin I'll vote after I've seen the artwork.
  3. If you count that it opened just 4 years ago it's not too bad! They had already sold the coaster so they must have pland to renew that X area! Watching the tower I was wondering: are these rides good or not? How are they compared to the classic free fall towers?
  4. First I want to thank everyone from www.theparks.it for this great day! MOVIELAND is a park themed like a movie set with some cool rides dedicated to some famous movies and a couple of stunt shows. It opened just 4 years ago so it's not that big but it's pretty fun. Here's the main entrance: The Free Fall Tower curse strikes again! Here's the SBNO HollYwood Tower! It looks pretty cool!!! Too bad it's not open. FACT: The Hollywood Tower was supposed to be one of the new rides for the 2006 season but it's still closed! First attraction of the day: TERMINATOR 2. Really cool stunt action show with some nice effects and a really cool and unexpected ending! Then we went to the HORROR HOUSE: a wolk through dark rides themed as the set of some horror movies. The theming was really well done and the actors really scared me a lot. If it had more actors it could have been better. Coming up next was MAGMA: an interesting ride around a spanish powerplan on these cool veicles. Here's a couple of parts of the theming: "I told you not to let your girlfirend ride your truck!" Then we went into the area called X-City home of three non X-treme rides: a flat ride called X-Spin, a water ride called X-Splash and a SBNO coaster called X-Speed. X-Speed has just been sold through the ebay! Here's X-Splash: and X-Speed: just like Cedar Point!!! And this is called BACK TO THE BACKSTAGE: a monorail ride around X-City passing next to the backstage of Rambo stunt show. And here's the backstage: Now we went to ride the other new ride for the 2006 season: the submarine simulator: U-571. The theming is awesome and the ride is really realistic. When you get into the submarine you don't have the feeling you are entering in a simuator. Very well dome even there are some spots with no theming at all. Now, while waiting for the rambo stunt show we had enough time to have a virtual ride on the Hollywood Tower. It was so much fun: almost like the real ride!!! And finally the RAMBO stunt show. It was pretty fun: lots of expolsions and lots of gun fighting. Here's a pic of the stage: After the show all the attraction were closed so we had to leave the park. Thanks again to every one who made this day a grate fun day!
  5. KATUN! The first drop is just super awesome!!!
  6. That doesn't change my opinion: I love SILVER STAR!!!
  7. I've been told that next summer I'm going to go in the Midwest. I had one of the best birthay parties ever at Mirabilandia. We got the last ride of the day in front row.
  8. Next Sunday I'm going to MOVIELAND for Halloween with my friends. The ***** intamin free fall is still closed. And it's NEW!!!
  9. What are they waiting for a decision? If they wait too long they won't be able to sell the rides if they decide to close the park.
  10. My favourit is SILVER STAR!
  11. I discovered this type of rides this past July at Mirabilandia where they have the S&S towers: space shot and turbo drop. The best tower I've been on is Space Vertigo at Gardaland. It's small but it's REALLY powerful! I was wondering: are the Huss' towers good?
  12. Nice photos. That was a great weekend!!!
  13. B&M strata coaster: like Silver Star but 100 feet taller. B&M Inverted like Katun but 100 feet taller. An hyper coaster made by Pinfari: that would be so scary to ride!!!
  14. I noticed that but I thought it was just me keeping the head in a different position.
  15. I rode Katapult in July and it was pretty fun. It takes forever to load the guests and the restrain system is complicated: lapbar, o.t.s.r. and a seat belt. Also it didn't have any loop backward just two loops forward. Here more pics: Zero-g beauty: The bottom of the drop: B&M train in storage: only two trains running during the whole day. Through the trees! I love the pre-drop!
  16. On Katun there are two separated queues: one for the front seats only and one for the rest of the train. They alway use one or two trains so the front seat quere is VERY slow but the experience is worth that wait but only once! It's pretty complicated to get to the park with public transportation. I know that there's a bus that connects the park with Bologna and if you take the train for Naples that leaves Milan at 5:30 am you can get to the park in time. You can get to Milan with the train.
  17. I love the layout even if it has no airtime. The drop doesn't give any feeling at all. It has four hills that make you think about airtime but once you get to the top you already forgot about it. In the last part under the structure there are some nice head-choppers. The problem of Sierra Tonante is that it has not enough speed. If it was a little bit faster and with some crazy airtime on every hill it would be just awesome. I think it's time for some new rails and a new paintjob.
  18. No; it's about 350 kilometers from there.
  19. El Toro Has a cable lift, right? Is Colossos the same or is it a chai lift?
  20. Yes;Mirabilandia had lots of problems with it.
  21. Hy everyone, this year I've celebrated my birthday at Mirabilandia. I celebrated the first of October and at the park it was a nice sunny and warm day. It was almost like summer! I left Milan at 6:30 am to arrive at Mirabilandia at around 10:00 am in time to meet with my friends. We were all from the community of www.theparks.it so it was more like a meeting than a birthday party. As we entered the park we had this nice view of Ktun's big cobra-roll and we found out that Katapult was not open today . The first ride of the day was the Power Tower named after the Shuttle Columbia. I felt some nice airtime at the top but only after the first launch! After that we went straight for Katun where we rode it in the very back to fully enjoy one of the best drop ever! While my friends were riding Ghostville, I rode Katun again, this time in second row. Now it was time for Sierra Tonante where I got the front seat. It was very rough but always better than a Vekoma!!! Find the hidden train to win a free ride on Sierra Tonante!!! Airtime? Not at all!!! After Sierra we went to ride the other tower: the one named after the Shuttle Discovery. Then it was lunch time! After lunch we rode Rio Bravo: the water ride with the round boats and after that Katun twice! Now it was already time for another bone-braking ride on the no-airtime woody. This time I brought my camera on and I had this nice shot of random girl's hair with Katun in the background. After that I decided to ride Ghostville: the dark ride with live actors and a really nice theming. I hate so much being scared by live actors! Time was running very fast and it was already 5:00 pm so we decided to spend the last hour in the park riding Katun. Here's me with the Katun sign! The best part of the day was the last ride on Katun. We were very lucky and we got the front seat!!! GOODBYE KATUN!!! I want to thank everybody who made my birthday so SPECIAL and I want to say HI to the english guys on Katun hoping they see this topic. How many times exactly did you ride Katun???
  22. The best inverted coaster in the world, a.k.a. KATUN!
