I swear to god if the park takes out Riddler's I will go insane with rage. Riddler's was my number one ride in the world until i rode Apollo and Tatsu. It is now my number four as it used to be my third favorite, but I rode Accelerator this summer in the back and got crazy ejector airtime. In other words... I LOVE RIDDLERS!!! The best stand up coaster ever! ^^^^^ No ninja love? Ninja is a kick ass night ride, and one of I believe 3 arrow suspendeds in the United States. In fact, it may be the worlds best Arrows suspended left considering Eagles Fortress is SBNO.( )

He's not kidding, riding these are like going to the pool. We had express passes, so we went on everything, and my friend hates water rides, so me being the great friend I am demanded he go on the toon lagoon rides. Lets just say that I am surprised the lady wearing all white next to us did not get thrown out of the park for public indecency, cause her shirt was then see through. YAY see through shirts on hot people. Also Popeye is the only flume in the world that's a little better than splash mountain. Philrad, were you at all surprised with the coaster like drop, like on splash mountain? That part under the train. I expected the drop but did not know it would also take us back uphill. I hope I didn't offend people cause I yelled OH S*** on that part.

For those that follow knotts twitter a steampunk vampire scare zone is coming to Knotts haunt. I think thats kind of cool, but whatever. My issue is the scarezone is called Necropolis: the city of the dead. Is that not the EXACT name of a Six Flags scare zone that been there for years, although it is not in California. Now I understand there are only so many things you can name a scarezone, and I could live with this if it is a zombie scare zone as a Necropolis is a cemetary. What the hell does a cemetary have to do with steampunk vamps? I just dont get it. The Tagline is even The city of the dead where the fuel for their hideous machines is your blood. Why Necropolis? Worse of all this area will be in camp snoopy, so they cant heavily theme it anyway becasue kids come into the park during the day, so they cant have any crazy screwed up machines. In other words the scare zone is called "Vampires that where Silver which makes them futuristic" or something like that.

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
the ghost replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is totally fake. Who the hell is going to ride a ride that may actually have a negative effect on them. No one is going to pay for this if it's real, and even more so this is just stupid. Also, in my opinion the Mummy was the first psycho coaster, so yeah. This is getting to be a bit much, and unless this is like the new number one steel coaster in the world then this is way to overhyped. I am so looking forward to the Europe trip to hear Robb and Elissa's opinions on the ride. -
QFT! Stupid family obligations. We are now only nine days away from Bash, and its all I can think about. The only crappy part is I am guessing the day is gonna fly by with all the kick ass stuff we are doing throughout the day. The good part about that is for the day to fly I must be having the best day ever. Cant wait to meet everyone!

What are your "firsts" of 2010?

Sorry Ginzo... he wins the thread. Disneyland clam chowder is amazing, and the bread bowl just makes it that much better. -

^ It is not an Intamin. The big coaster is an intamin, but these smaller coasters are, I believe Maurer Schone.(I have no idea how to spell it) -

This is starting to get strange. An engine themed boat ride... I guess could work. The history and factory tour ride looks cool, although they look like the same ride with different screens. I understand that Ferrari is in Italy, so I like the soaring Italian version, but am I the only one confused by the Italy walk through? I mean, what do you see, mini models like legoland, cause that seems a bit tacky in a park like this, but it makes sense in legoland becasue the design is good. The coasters and go carts look great though, as does the museum and simulators, so I am really pulling for this park. This is the one concept I was almost sure would fail for Dubai... an entire park based on Ferrari is still a weird concept. I gladly stand corrected and think this looks amazing! -
Club TPR is Coming in March!
the ghost replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Just slightly less awesome than TPR events. I am so asking for this for my birthday or on Christmas. Of course, if I get accepted to work at any of the places I recently applied to, first months paycheck is going right to club TPR. As stated by many in this thread Robb, you have my respect and admiration. The Club TPR... the decline of the acer regime Ghost -

OMG! I love the ferrari car trains! They are soooo awesome! This is the dueling launched Maurer Schone coaster right. That entire thing looks so awesome... I really hope this park does well as all the coasters and rides look awesome so far. And I am a Ferrari fan. -

^He's saying make sure the water is 5 feet lower everywhere pretty much. It is pretty much because you do not want anything to appear to be floating. Personally I noticed it the most on bahama breeze, as it appears the coaster is floating. You're buildings are much better now, and the boardwalk area has the feel of a real boardwalk! Awesome work! -
^^ Here you go Zenith. On page 90 theres also a pretty good idea of the layout. http://www.mouseinfo.com/forums/dca-expansion/85489-carsland-radiator-springs-racers-97.html It is the fifth post down, but this guy seems to know a lot, he also posted the layout picture. Anyway, that makes sence, and a U turn would be pretty cool as test track does not do that. It is probably more because as we all know this technology is not entirely reliable, and it has only been semi perfected since Journey. Test Track is often down though, so they probably want to test and get this thing ready so they dont have another test track on their hands.

What you've got so far is pretty nice. It does kind of look like a real park, and all of the rides are awesome. My only real suggestion is to use a bit more variey in the roofs and buildings. They are slightly blocky, but can be spruced up pretty easily. -
What are your "firsts" of 2010?
the ghost replied to Pingu1651's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
First Park:Disneyland/DCA First coaster: California Screamin First Credit: If everything goes as planned Terminator Salvation:The Ride, at West Coast Bash. It will also be my first GCI First food bought: Aviator Chicken Sandwich at Tastepilot Grill(thanks Printersdevil, I largely got that as it was in your West Coast Trip photo TR, and I agree, it is delicious) at DCA First Enthusiast Event: West Coast Bash 2010( 12 days left) -
Grande Vitara 2
the ghost replied to Doerzb91's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ It was not supposed to be either. The coasters are phenominal, but a few of the buildings are a little boring in my opinion. As a park it is very good, but there are a few blocky buildings. If I sounded condescending or sarcastic I apologize as that was not my intention. -

Congrats guys, I only saw Stop, Think, Rewind as it was part of NTV(right?) but it was good. Murphy must be pretty happy right now with Smileyface Productions.

Grande Vitara 2
the ghost replied to Doerzb91's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Lol, I'm not talking about the paths. What I am trying to say is amke your buildings a little more interesting. There are some that are okay, and flipsides is the best, but add some more roofing. Notice how the top of flipside is essentiaslly a box with the triangles and circle tiles. Add some variation to these things, and your park will be more visually appealing. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=54121 Now I clearly dont expect thepark to be nearly this detailed as I know very few who can do this, and these are the best buildings I have ever seen, but see how awesome scenery can look when the buildings are different? Add some detail and creativity, and as long as you do not go completely over the top your park will be realistic, but still be detailed enough to be visually appealing. Just have some fun, and learn to use the scenery and be creative, and you'll do great. Edit: The bathrooms by flip side are kind of what I am talking about. There is a nice window in the arch, and the roof is interesting enough. -

Your main issue is most of the building seem a bit blocky, but if you fix that everything will be fine. The park also seems to be quite charming, so I would keep that feel as it is an added bonus in a lot of parks. Keep it up though, your rides and support work are awesome! -
^ Hook is amazing!!! You are the first person I've ever heard to not like that movie.
