  1. Your little birdie is wrong. The "incident" was nothing that major. Had a car become detached there would have been serious injuries and it would be all over news media. While this was more than a ride saddling, it was relatively minor.
  2. The first people got to ride today and I managed to snag a pciture or two. Here's one, and if you click it it will take you to my site for a couple more:
  3. BUMP! Now that the season is really on, and we are all getting huge piles of our home parks maps from all the times we've visited, anyone up for some trading? I'm really looking for SFGAm, SFMW, SFFT, SFOT, TGE and SFDL. If anyone has them and would like some SFGAdv maps in trade, PM me!!!
  4. When you stand next to it and hear those upstop wheels hit the rails you KNOW this will have crazy air-time!!!
  5. They've had tons of characters all over SFGAdv...maybe they're going in a different direction at Stl?
  6. Thanks for the PTR. I drive past SP all the time on my way in and out of the mall, and I've never stopped in (despite having a Busch Platinum Pass). Now I'll have to swing by one day and check it out.
  7. Right now concrete and trash can manufacturers everywhere are salivating at the thought of 5 more sterile looking parks, with acres of concrete walkways and more garbage cans than trees. Don't get me wrong, CF runs their parks well and keeps introducing great rides, but the park environments are half carnival and half strip mall. Every time I walk into Dorney, I expect to see a Home Depot and a Pier One along the midway. They're just too generic and lack character.
  8. I posted some new pictures up on my site...click the picture for the link:
  9. All the Hopkins coasters look odd to me, and very home made, but this one is the oddest of them all:
  10. Most of the COASTERS mentioned here are not ugly...it's only their settings that are. For example, SUF is a clone (or near clone) of SUF at SFOG...most people would agree that the original is a beautiful coaster. The only difference is the terrain and themeing.
  11. Woo-hoo! We're on page 69 of a sex topic!!!
  12. Wear the plaid!
  13. The one shot from the official update is really cool:
  14. ahecht- I'd love an SFNE map! Swap you for a SFGAdv... Twister II- If you happen to pick up an extra SFEG, an SFGAdv could be headed your way too. I feel like I'm 10 years old and trading baseball cards again!
  15. Oh, so THAT's what the song "Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe" was all about!!! I just remembered seeing the girl's panties when she'd jump on the trampoline in the video...it was really about Hobosexuality!
  16. Woohoo! I got my SFMM map in the mail today (Thanks Elissa)! 3 parks down, about 2 dozen more to go!!!
  17. I just posted a new update on my website Here are a couple of previews: Almost looks like it's done in this shot! Foundation for the new "Tango" Rockin' Tug ride is going in I figured out why construction is taking so long! Click here for the AmusementPics.com Toro ride vehicle photo exclusive!
  18. I love both parks, and I advise everyone who makes this trip the same thing...go to PKD first, then BGE(W). If you go the other way, PKD feels like a real second class park after going to BG, and in reality it's a very nice park.
  19. I just dropped one to R&E into the mail, but I have a stack more, if anyone would like to trade for SFGAdv!
  20. Awesome! I now have the SFOG map (thanks ParkTrips!) and SFStl and SFMM should soon be on the way!
  21. More than half of those 25 rides were kiddie rides in Looney Tunes Seaport, and they're all still in place. The Missing Rides: Evolution- Now at SFStl Pendulum- Now at SFGAm Jump- Now in the boneyard Inverter- Now in the boneyard Pirate's Flight- Moved to SFWoA Chaos- Now in the boneyard Spinnaker- Gone (without a trace) Rodeo Stampede- Moved to SFOT The rest of the 25 were Medusa, Jolly Roger, Twister, Houdini's Great Escape, and the kiddie rides. My understanding of the problems with Evolution involved the operator control panel needing to be majorly re-worked. Supposedly it was more or less completely operated manually, and very complicated. The State of New Jersey has very tight regulations on making ride modifications, and changing the panel and getting approval from the State would have been very costly and difficult. Moving it to Missouri gave them a way to make changes and not have to deal with nearly as much red tape. I have pictures and info on almost all the flats at SFGAdv on my site You can see pictures of the rides in the boneyard over on Flyin' Phil's Site
  22. It takes forever to load, but it's one of the best examples of "Engrish" I've ever seen! The Disko description is priceless: A Rotoshake is called "The air dances in the wind"!
  23. With this system it only costs about $1.65 each for mailing. I would worry about giving my address too, but I don't think I'd trade with anyone who isn't a regular on the boards. No one should do anything they don't feel comfortable about doing. I'm really happy about this...I've got SFStl and SFOG coming to me so far! ^Quoted for very Brady reference!
