  1. I imagine this also happens with Jaws as well. I doubt that happens as much as someone thinking the entrance to Potter's Alley is the entrance to the bathroom though.
  2. ^Its not really surprising that something like this has happened given the attendance drop this year. While it does suck for those effected maybe a restructuring of management and other staff could actually be a blessing in disguise for the future of the park.
  3. ^The shop has been closed down and is getting extended to turn it into a Food Loop style restaurant like Europa Park has. Plus whatever this means. Given that Airs trains are prototypes and you are forever hearing "Row 1, seat 3. Row 4, seat 2, Row 5, seat 1" over the PA I could imagine new trains being an option but in all honestly I have no idea what so ever. Maybe someone else may be able to shed some light on it if they do know.
  4. I think its good that all the commotion about the accident has died down now. Come next season when they try to re open the ride as they have me clear is their intention to I'm sure it will all come back to the media and go crazy again. The park is now closed for the season and I'm sure many changes will happen across the park including the new Food Loop restaurant and whatever else they are doing to Air so we have something to look forward too.
  5. I also enjoyed Rockit when I visit the park for the first time. I agree it wasn't glass smooth but I get the feeling it might depends a lot on what train you get. While I don't know how Universal do their train rehabs, I know that all the Eurofighters I've been on with a rolling rehab schedule for the trains can provide very different ride experiences. If you get one thats come back into service mid season it can be an amazing ride, but if you get one that is just about to be taken out of service it can be rough as hell.
  6. Will there be an indoor section to the ride that we know about? If so the black track makes sense.
  7. Well that crane driver certainly earned his pay check driving into that gap and not hitting anything.
  8. For me one of the worst announcements for 2016 in the UK (not that there has been many) is Derren Brown: The Ride at Thorpe Park. While I know it will never be called that to me thats what it will always be.
  9. Personally I prefer the logo to Manta but this one is still pretty nice. I imagine it will make a really good 3D sign though.
  10. Not if you don't like huge volumes of people with no sense of personal space and paying £8 for a hot dog!
  11. I can't believe how close that guy was standing next to the blast area in todays blast!
  12. I hope all the workers sing "Hi Ho" when they walk across that bridge. Its great to see such big projects being undertaken by the park and I hope they do well. They still need to do a lot to win me back as a visitor though. I haven't been since 2008 and still have no intention of going back. On a random note does Disney Paris not do any of the holiday overlays for Phantom Manor and Its a Small World of Sadomasochistic Torture?
  13. Totally agree. Its the first of its kind in the world as far as I'm aware and could produce a really unique ride experience.
  14. Im not sold on the logo as it seems to cartoon like to me. I am sold on the ride however and look forward to seeing it finished which is obviously more the point of a new attraction.
  15. Yes but considering the ride broke down and was being evacuated everyone would have been cheering so there would be no tears. On another note though it does seem odd that they didn't hit the show stop while evacuating guests, it only takes one idiot to not look where they are going or to walk off and get injured by it.
  16. That tower reminds me of an oil derrick. Great to see this going up so fast, I could see most of this being up before christmas if not all.
  17. Thats one off the most beautiful looking tea cup rides I've ever seen. I love the stained glass roof.
  18. I think this is a fantastic addition to a park that seems to be expanding at a rather rapid rate. I love Port Royale at Heide Park so if its similar to that I'm sure it will be amazing.
  19. Monster is a really great coaster so the fact they are doing this I'm sure will only improve it. The paint job it definitely needed in my view the white/faded pink look didn't do the ride any visual favours.
  20. It not my fault the wrong people are the ones getting naked.
  21. This is the 2nd time I believe Adventure Island have done this and I know Thorpe Park have done it on Nemesis Inferno. Also Alton Towers had a nudist day once before I think. It seems in this country we just love being naked at theme parks which is totally okay by me.
  22. ^Paultons Park are installing 2 new coasters for next year. Granted there is a slight difference between this and another coaster compared to 2 junior Vekoma coasters.
  23. So if we are going to be seeing a second coaster to go with this Intamin spaghetti do we within it will open with this ride or it will be installed next closed season to open in 2017.
  24. In my mind how I was going through the pictures thinking "Oh look at the nice Gravity Group woodie. Oh.....boomerang"
  25. Are all these explosions done after the park is closed and clear of guests? If I was the park I would be selling an extra ticket to watch the explosion, but then I'm sure H&S would prevent that in a heart beat.
