  1. I've been really interested in architecture as of late, specifically the mid-century modern and the postmodern styles. I don't think I could ever design buildings outside of The Sims, so instead I follow a bunch of architecture Tumblrs and this awesome blog site called Contemporist. They mostly post buildings and interiors, but they also do stuff about lighting, furniture, etc. I happened to find two of my favorite buildings in the world on that site, and they're both residences: Rechter House, in Tel Aviv, Israel: And, a loft apartment in Kiev, Ukraine:
  2. I feel sad that I just found out about this girl from New Zealand, . She has the voice of an angel...
  3. Sherlock Holmes: A great movie, in general. The acting from Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law is impeccable, the action was intense, and the plot as a whole was just confusing enough to be interesting yet understandable. The casting director couldn't have picked better for the role of Moriarty. As far as things I didn't really care for go, this Holmes seemed to focus a bit more on the action than the actual deductions. I mean, you can't go too terribly wrong with fighting and stuff, and the mystery was still there, it just wasn't as present as I thought it would be. Still, I would definitely see it again before it leaves theaters. 9/10 Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil: Hilarious, gory movie about college kids mistaking harmless hillbillies for psycho killers. I went into it expecting it to be terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was campy as hell, not to mention the deaths were a bit cliche, but that kind of made all of it even funnier. Good amount of violence, lots of laughs, and believe it or not, one or two tender moments. All of that combined is a winner in my book. 8/10
  4. Justice is coming to Atlanta in March. I'd love to see them, but $60 is stretching my budget a little too far. Maybe when I have a little more disposable income, I'll see them. Until then, I've got loans to pay off. In other news, Fun. is also coming to Atlanta! I'm radiating excitement!
  5. ^^ Great list, man. If it were mine, Machinedrum and Real Estate would have rated a bit higher, but hey, to each his own, right?
  6. This is something different. An eBay store is selling a nightstand/mini-fridge from the Grand Floridian Resort. I'd totally look into getting it, but it's local pick-up only, and I'm not close enough...
  7. This is me, taking lonely pictures of myself under my bed at school. I live an exciting life, no?
  8. OH MY GOD YES! Finally! That thing has been needing some TLC ever since I've been tall enough to ride it!
  9. Seeing as how it's (finally) cold out, I got to pull out my favorite pair of Converses: They're warm, but not too warm. And I found a jacket to go with them, so I don't look stupid wearing them!
  10. Dr Pepper Ten. Not too bad, surprisingly.
  11. Calvin Harris - Limits Fantastic song.
  12. I completely forgot about this. Ah well, I took a test and ate a turkey burger. Happy End-Of-The-World, everyone!
  13. Cortex - Chanson d'un Jour d'Hiver For anyone who likes Odd Future, MellowHype sampled this track in their song "Loco."
  14. Buy more vinyl. What time does the narwhal bacon?
  15. Well, since I live in Atlanta-area Georgia, I could always visit the one-and-only Stockbridge Tribulation Trail. Nothing like seeing the Book of Revelation being acted out on a half-mile trail, followed by pastors trying to rededicate me at the end. On second thought, I'll just buy a bag of candy and watch a scary movie. Sounds good.
  16. I just feel like his newer albums focus too much on the "cute," rather than actually putting depth to it. He's always had cutesy lyrics and melodies in his music, but he went a little too far for my personal tastes. That, and the song "Alligator Sky" was just... bad. The song title doesn't even make sense for an Owl City song (which is a feat, mind you), and the rapping kind of makes it worse. I just couldn't get into it like I could with the older stuff. My common sense wouldn't let me, unfortunately.
  17. ^I gave up on Owl City after Ocean Eyes. Not because he got too popular (that was the reason of a lot of my friends), but because I feel like he let the quality of his music slip drastically. His first two albums were fantastic; Ocean Eyes was okay and I did not like the new album at all. Kind of sad, really; he used to be a favorite of mine. Anyways, I seem to be really getting into two bands as of recently: Bomb The Music Industry! and La Dispute. They're both fantastic, and they both came out with new albums recently!
  18. Steel: Titan Wood: Texas Giant (before refurbishment)
  19. n0ns3nse.tumblr.com It's mostly a blog of re-blogs (which wasn't the plan at first, but after a while you just can't help it, right?). They do vary in content, though. Rage comics, architecture, funny pictures, topical nonsense, and a few OC posts about me being bad at school and whatnot are scattered in between. Pretty boring, but I enjoy it.
  20. While browsing around Kroger's frozen foods aisles, I came across the ice cream section. I hadn't had really good ice cream in a while, so I decided to treat myself to some Ben & Jerry's. I was trying to decide on a flavor, and in doing so, I found the most glorious flavor of ice cream I think I've ever seen, and now, tasted: Red Velvet Cake. If there are two things that just belong together, it's ice cream and cake. Red velvet cake is one of the best cakes ever, and putting the two into one container was the most brilliant thing ever. My taste buds had an orgy, died, went to Heaven, and repeated that exact process seven or eight times. So good...
  21. Discovery - Orange Shirt I love these guys.
  22. I found this gorgeous picture of Dubai recently, and couldn't resist. I MUST visit sometime soon.
  23. One can never go wrong with Panda Bear. Both of his albums contain nothing but happiness.
  24. Got my grades for my summer classes this evening, and they were both A's. I feel like a million bucks right now.
  25. As far as coasters go, the only one that really freaked me out was Deja Vu, but I ended up enjoying it. Flats are a completely different story, though. I will NOT EVER AGAIN get on a Looping Starship-style ride. I can't do those without screaming in pure terror.
