  1. ^Awesome. Thanks for the details!
  2. I raised the money to start the Squidport, and built the 60 minute tile this morning. I'm just supposed to let that tile sit there, and everyone will tap it, right? I just need to collect the handshakes, correct? Thanks in advance.
  3. ^ I only started watching because I like Jeff Garlin. Thought it started out a little slow, but the last couple of weeks have been pretty funny. It's like Modern Family and The Wonder Years rolled into one.
  4. Great, can't wait to see the rest of your pictures. I can't believe the terrible luck you guys had. I-305 and Xcelerator were down, correct?
  5. I've been impressed with MSU the last few weeks. Saw them in person when they came to Iowa City at the start of October. That defense is just nasty. I don't think MSU is getting enough respect nationally. Since Cook took over, their offense has been a lot better. Your only loss had a lot of terrible calls go against you, but you probably already knew that. Hoping you guys stick it to Nebraska tomorrow. I hate the Cornhuskers.
  6. Another great update. Glad to see how much you love this park. Great America was my "home" park growing up. We lived about 3 hours away but went at least once each summer. It had been 13 years since I'd been there, so I was really excited to get back. It's definitely my favorite Six Flags park, even though Great Adventure has a better ride lineup. They've just kept that old school charm that a lot of the other Six Flags parks have lost over the years. I can't wait to get back and ride Goliath next summer! Are you only doing the parks on the Midwest Trip, or are you going to talk about the other parks you guys went to? Just curious.
  7. ^ Over the last few days I've switched to doing something similar to this. 4 hours during the day. Hourly if I'm home in the evening, then longer tasks at some point after dinner. Doing the hourly thing didn't become too much of a hassle until recently. There are just too many characters to chase around each hour, so it ends up taking too long. I'll just keep grinding away, I guess. Don't even get me started on donuts, but I'm sure everyone here has already complained about those to the point that you don't want to hear some noob whining about them. Stupid donuts...
  8. ^^ I try to stay on top of my characters doing 60 min tasks, but it's hard to keep up at work. Looks like I need to quit my job!
  9. I'm loving the tile glitch. For someone at my level it really helps you level up quickly. Is there a better way to generate money than to build a bunch of houses? I hated having to resort to that, but I'm just not sure how else you could be able to afford all of the buildings that you need to build in order to complete tasks.
  10. I met a really nice guy while waiting in line for the Jurassic River Adventure.
  11. As a Vikings fan, I'll gladly take Kaepernick off your hands if you want to get rid of him!
  12. I'm pretty new to the game, so I'm a little confused about all of this tapping on tiles. Can someone explain what I should be doing to my friend's towns that have the boardwalk? Thanks in advance.
  13. Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
  14. I don't like seeing anyone get hurt, but as a Vikings fan it will be nice to see the Packers struggle for a few weeks. They've been so fortunate with their QB situation for the last 20 or so years. Now they get to live like the rest of us!
  15. I think it's a cool idea, especially since it's in addition to the reports that you do on the website. Screw the haters that only want to watch a POV. Out of curiosity, how much time does it take to make the video? I'm assuming it's not too bad since you already have the pictures and the captions.
  16. ^ I was more referring to my friends that were on the trip sending me pictures and giving me crap because they were in Orlando and I wasn't.
  17. I'm really looking forward to Goliath at SFGAm. Trying to work with my company right now on relocating to Florida, so that would be really exciting if it actually came to fruition. That's about it... Oh yeah, I'm also taking a little trip to Scandinavia. No big deal.
  18. I know that I told you this on Facebook, but I don't think I've said it in here. I'm loving that the trip reports are back! Looks like a great time, and I'm enjoying this TR a lot more than when certain people were taunting me on Facebook the entire time... They know who they are.
  19. I still haven't seen DL's Fantasmic, but I've heard it's pretty fantastic. I was planning on seeing it the day that we were all there during WCB, but it got so packed with all the stupid Dapper Days people that I just gave up and left. Based on your comments, I wouldn't even waste time on the DHS show if I were you. I don't understand the hype, and it's an absolute mob of people. Not my idea of how to end a day at the park. My mom used to make us get a spot for the parades/Illuminations/Fantasmic an hour before the show started, and it always drove me crazy. I just don't care enough about those things to waste that much time! I think you nailed it on why the castle show works. If you're anywhere near Main Street, you'll have a decent view of the show. Same with Wishes. **Edit: I wanted to add that I do enjoy the Boo to You parade. Unfortunately, I clicked on one of the Vines earlier and the song has been in my head all day!
  20. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of any of the nighttime shows. I enjoy Illuminations, but I don't go out of my way to see it. I walked out of World of Color before it was over when I was there last month, and haven't seen Fantasmic at DHS in several years. With that said, I love the castle projection shows. I make sure to see it at least once every time I'm in Orlando.
  21. I love podcasts, it's pretty much all I listen to anymore. Actually, it's been that way for the last 4-5 years. Here's what I listen to: Doug Loves Movies Doug Loves Minis Dining with Doug and Karen WTF with Marc Maron BS Report with Bill Simmons Solid Verbal (College Football) ESPNU College Football Podcast Inside the Magic DIS Unplugged WDW Today I used to listen to Giant Bomb, but just don't play games anymore, so it's hard to listen to a 3 hour podcast about gaming.
  22. I can't explain it, either. I've never been a fan of Bejeweled, or any of those similar games. I tried Candy Crush a few months ago and got absolutely hooked on it. I finally made myself stop playing it when I got around level 250. Luckily, I haven't touched it for a few months, but it was consuming way too much of my free time. Of course, it seems like Tapped Out is doing the same thing now.
  23. My memory of that afternoon/evening is pretty fuzzy. Not sure why.
  24. Well, I've finally taken the plunge. I've avoided this game since The Simpsons is my favorite show of all time, and I know this is going to take up way too much time. I was bored at work this week so I downloaded it. User name is Barge8480.
