My friend just called me from Kings Island. He said people ran to FH at 10 and found the ride closed. Around 11:30, they tested, around 12 they tested with employees! With guests still in line! Guest relation claims it will not open until late this afternoon. WAY TO KI KI!

EDIT! It's still not open! It's broken! Guest relations said to be open LATER TODAY! Seems CF can only get their wooden coaster openings right! Thanks a lot guys!

Kings Island was dead today! My friend and I went from about 4:30 till close. Longest wait was 20 minutes for Flight of Fear. Always worth it! My camera's screen cracked after I got off FoF. Seems it banged into the restraint during the ride Rides Delirium - one great ride, with only 10 min wait! Face/Off - 3 consecutive rides in the front way to go F/O ops! Damn is that loop forceful Congo Falls - one very wet ride. walk on Top Gun - 3 great rides from the front to back! walk on Racer - one HORRIBLE ride! The blue train sucks!!!! very rough, while all the other rides on the red train kicked butt! walk on Flight of Fear - one excellent ride. about 20 min wait Italian Job - Was running excellent today! Ops were great! 10 min wait. WTBRA - one wet ride...stupid elephant! Tomb Raider - Excellent ride. Not as much pressure on the dangly bits as I remembered! walk on The Beast - One SMOOTH night ride. walk on. Damn trims! Die! B. Racer - one great ride..smooth and all. walk on DROP ZONE! - Four walk on and off rides! Packs a punch every time! <3 The Eiffel Tower looks **great** at night! Alot of different colors that change smoothly. All in all an awesome evening at KI. Odd for it to be dead on MM day weekend! Last Coaster: night ride on the Beast! it was great! Last ride: Drop Zone x4

My top 10 coasters for THRILLS 1. Top Thrill Dragster - the ultimate rush 2. Wicked Twister - on a good ride, this can be an insane ride. take it in small doses 3. Millennium Force - insane drop 4. Top Gun: The Jet Coaster - never lets up speed through the inversions 5. Thunderhead - never,ever, ever lets up speed...insane laterals and airtime 6. Flight of Fear - the theme is very intimidating...the ride is awesome 7. BORG: Assimilator - flying around and flipping over is pretty intense 8. Top Gun - fighter pilot speed and laterals! 9. Rock n Roller Coaster - music, theme, coaster 10. Mantis - standing up going through inversions over water

Low blood pressure? Or something of that sort? My friend has the same problem, he blacked out at the bottom and forget the rest of the ride. On Dragster her passed out in the brake run. Haha

I agree with Robb. On most coasters, I try to ride in the very front and back. Most of the time, I choose back. There are also pluses and minuses for the front. On Vortex, if you sit in the front, you get airtime coming up the second hill. Nothing great, but it's airtime. In the back, you get some really great airtime on the first drop. Views on coasters also could make the front or back better. On The Beast, I prefer the front, it's great speeding around through the woods (also, I'm to afriad to try the back because I had a terrible experiance last time ) For launch coasters, they are very different for me. On Flight of Fear, Rock 'n'Rollercoaster, and Italian Job; I choose the front for a wilder ride. On Top Thrill Dragster, I loved the front seat for the views....but the wind is nearly gouging out your eyes and making them tear up! Maybe they should be some of those pilot goggles to borrow. For Stand Ups, it is a toss up. I love the back on Mantis for the airtime on the drop and after the MCBR, it feels so funny and it's great! But I really love the front for a more forceful ride. I greyed at the bottom of the loop in the front seat, first time that happened to me! I havent had one bad ride on a stand up. (except King Cobra. togo and their things that jackhammer into your crotch can die!) Suspended coasters seem the same way in the front and back seat, unless there is a nice drop like there is on Top Gun. Good pop of air on Top Gun in the back seat, but the front on Iron Dragon and TG have some sway power....ID there is little. For Inverts, I like the back seat. The only thing I have against it is obstruction of views. From my experiances on Top Gun:TJC, Raptor, and Face/Off, The back gives some sick forces on the inversions! Especially those Zero-G rolls Wooden coasters can differ. The Racer has nice airtime all over in the back, and Beast gives your spine a rearangement. Flying coasters (BORG for me) was awesome in the very back. Loop was -very- forceful. There are good views on flying position, and when lying, it's cool watch the track speed by beneath you. Hmm...that's about my view on coasters and where to sit.

Best advice is so simple. Show them the websites and whatever they think is better, go! Both parks looks great with top-knotch coasters and thrill rides.

Haha, the quicker I can get to The Voyage, the better Indiana Beach looks quite tempting as well. "Ugghhh....traffic caused 7 hours of delay!"

Ooo...new red restraints on Vortex. They were orange or yellow or something last time I saw. Great TR! I am really lookin foreward to getting back on that Highway to the Danger zone Oh yea James, I might be taking you up on that Holiday World Trip offer

I do think it is an underrated coaster, for family or anyone, really. The theming is great, the ride itself is awesome, getting the good 'ol Arrow min train jerks and turns. I have ridden it once this year and I am glad I got on it, there was even a small pop of air in the back seat going around the u-turn after the lift and turn to the left. Great views of SOB and the landscape. I think it's safe to say most people would just skip it because you could pass it easily, you just see the sign and gate! nothing else really unless you are in line for Racer or high above! Or people just think "eh, ewwy Arrow mine train...let's go to Face/Off!" I try to get a ride on it once a visit, especially in the summer when there is no line.

I don't hear much talk about Top Gun: The Jet Coaster at Carowinds besides threads on Carowinds and Inverts. This coaster is really a hidden jem! Smooth ride with insane inversions taken at the perfect speed. Though I wish they put in another zero-g instead of the little hop over the station. I lurve my zero-g's!

Well, I have only ridden Top Thrill Dragster in terms of Intamin Accelerator Coasters. TTD is my number two on my coaster list and number one for thrills. Why? The launch is great and set up perfectly! The engines crackling and revving up, the people watching its every move...then the voice comes over "Arms down, head back, and hold on!" Usually they will repeat Arms Down until it launches. Well after the catch car locks and you roll back a bit and the christmas tree counts down...orange orange orange green! And you are pinned to your seat at you speed off and then shoot up, seeing nothing but sky until you reach the top hat, some airtime in the front that feels wierd. Then you just plummet down and spiral, and then skid into the breaks. It is an amazing rush! Well worth a wait and a reride. Where to sit? I would reccomend in the second train (choose right instead of left when you are going up to the dual station) and sit in the back. Sure, the front is great, but the wind tears up your eyes really bad. The back is just great PKI "TTD is awesome! Deffinately my #1 for thrills" ManJZ

Between King Cobra, Vortex (Carowinds), and Mantis.... Mantis dominates. I love this coaster. Great forces in the front, along with the perfect setting over half water half land. Vortex is second. It's a small little stand up, but the corkscrew packs a punch. Fun ride! King Cobra is last. It's a Togo....headbanging, from what I rememberd on the helix and trick track.
