  1. ^Got it, cool! Did anyone else catch the pop up sweeper/cleaner song and dance? KI taking a page from DisneySea! It wrapped up just as I was about to get a picture. Good effort!
  2. They didn't scan anything, so I can imagine you just get back in line for a ticket. Things change daily so I'm sure they are working on making it fair.
  3. So true. Watching the trains run through the track off ride is so fun. That first immelman inversion is so funky!
  4. Banshee even with half empty trains running really intense thanks to the heat! The drop in the back row is so good, such a nice pop of air. It's too bad those vests squeeze you in against the seat so tight, you feel every imperfection along the track. Nothing has changed since day 1, it rides the same. The speed it picks up going down hill out of the zero g takes me by surprise and that loop down there makes your legs weak!
  5. You been on it? Scooby is pretty dope! I also should have added Eejanaika, Takabisha, and Fujiyama to that list too.. Listen I've been on tons of RMCs, B&M hypers, Intamins etc. It's tough to brag about focusing on "speed and intensity" when the elements are so high and huge. Orion is such a strange project. Ontop of that it's so silent. The lift. The coaster. Silent.
  6. I think it's exactly what you would expect. It's just fine. Fury is the perfect layout for this style of coaster. Orion reminds me of Goliath (RMC at SFGAm) because it's just a great drop and a handful of giant elements. The wave turn had so much potential and it doesn't do anything. The big turnout doesn't make an impression, then speed hill is eh, and the airtime hill will forever be criticized about the trim. The helix was fun, and was not intense as advertised. The final airtime hill was probably the best outside of the first drop. I hope another rider or two will change my mind but it's a solid ride but nothing close to Fury. Top 10 in no order: Steel Vengeance, Maverick, DoDoDonpa, Hakugei, Outlaw Run, Fury, Scooby's Spooky Coaster, Skyrush, Phoenix, I305
  7. I hope a change from back to front elevates it to LOVE but we'll see! I just am dumbfounded on how weak the sideways hill is.
  8. Orion! It's just what you think it would be Great first drop, a big whiff on the sideways airtimeless hill, a fun Goliath (SFGAm) big turn around, a decent airtime speed hill, a trimmed airtime hill that will get lots of criticism, a solid helix, and a surprisingly excellent curvy airtime hill before the brake run. Rode row 8. Would love some more rides, could see it being a front row ride.
  9. Are they limiting people to one ride or can you get a second after redeeming the first? Good question. Not that I am aware of, they didn't scan anything. I got there at 12:15 and got 4-5p. It sold out soon after. It's 91*F, and I am having no issues getting overheated or breathing. Nearly everyone except for a few bad parents and teenagers are following all the rules. Just a great summer day at Kings Island!
  10. Paper tickets for hour tome slots on Orion! Hope all of the must be firsts enjoyed waiting 3 hours in the sun yesterday
  11. Sounds like the queue for Orion is filled up and spilling all the way out under the Racer, back towards where you'd pass under the Eiffel Tower and go left along Stunt Job Coaster. Probably 3 hour wait!
  12. Those sure are some weird trims with the wire running down the track. The hell you doin' B&M. It looks like a B&M hyper, yup!
  13. We should only accept reviews of Orion as "____ Onion Rings of out 10"
  14. I'm expecting to see "it's a B&M hyper coaster that's better than Raging Bull and just as good as Nitro/Mako/Diamondback/Behemoth/etc" haha.
  15. Fanboys be all like, "B&M lift hills are quiet because they're boring. RMC lift hills are loud because they're soooo intense!!" I love it
  16. I was just hoping for a little more twist to the layout, like Fury. Those little pops out of your seat on each transition are pretty awesome. Orion is using the terrain, but I would have loved to have seen them turn left and use the woods, instead of going straight back by the Beast. No doubt this will be a really fun coaster, and it's pointless to judge until you ride it. It has a lot of potential, but so did the space they looked had an opportunity to use.
  17. That is awesome! Thanks for calling that out!
  18. "Remember that butterfly out-of-body experience you get when you go over one of Diamondback’s camelback hills? Yeah, that’s airtime. Orion specializes in speed and intensity. They may both be related as they come from the same manufacturer, but in reality are two of their own kinds." Intensity huh? Really now....
  19. I'll be visiting on July 3rd at noon since I have the day off. I wanted to avoid the weekend and I'm hoping it's a decent weather day! Excited to go to the park not during Winterfest lol. If Orion is longer than 90 minutes I'll just come back another time, haha.
  20. So good to hear it's a fantastic coaster! I never heard much about it and it always looked like a classic.
  21. Disappointing to see, hopefully they will learn how to go about enforcing their rules and next visit will be better.
  22. The First Rider benefit is July 1. You really think it's not opening with the park to passholders on July 2?
  23. I'm excited to check it out! I honestly don't have really high expectations, I am just looking forward to going to the park when it's not Winterfest I've been on many B&M hypers, and Fury. So I'm sure Orion has a great drop, has some high potential with the wave turn and long speed hill. Maybe the big turn around will be a surprise highlight. Boom, roasted
