  1. Wait.....is this even a question? Go to KI for medium lines and mediocre rides. Go for CP for longer but for kick-butt rides!
  2. Awesome stuff, Wes. I think I see King Henry VII in the Boulder Dash wood! I guess I'm still in that stage you were, just not collecting much but pictures. I'm going to try to get into mechanical engineering, but who knows. -J "I have an old 1996-1997 SFMM video...that's it" Z
  3. Looks like it's coming along great! I really want to ride one of these impulses. I liked Wicked Twister, and I think it'd be AWESOME to be hung up in the air facing the ground. Cool idea!
  4. Well, I was coming home through the Sydney airport security at about 2 in the afternoon. We were rushing to get through security and baggage check to get to our 14 hour flight back to the USA. I was wearing some shorts and a normal sport shirt. I put my bag and laptop on the x-ray scanner and went to go through the metal detector. I forgot I had my camera in my pocket and went over to put it on the conveyor. I went back through the metal detector and was clear. But some security lady told me to stand over to the side in this clear box-thing. She kept paging for someone to come over to me and after a few minutes, someone did. This guy told me I had "very baggy" shorts and asked me if I had anything in them. He continued on asking where I was from, how old am I, what's my occupation, what I was doing here, and for how long. I answered all questions and he had to give me a pat down. After that I was released and went over to get my stuff and run to my flight back to San Fran. Well, on the flight I realized I didn't have my Kodak camera. The guy must not have sent it thought because it was right with my other stuff. I have emailed the security center pretty much every other day, now. Not really had much help when showing pictures of the camera, information on when I was there, and when my flights were. -sigh- I guess it's time for another new camera. But thankfully I had almost all the pictures up on my computer. -J "Grrrrr airport security..." Z
  5. I just wait until we roll back into launch position! Then once you're back, you're free to stick 'em up! Mmm..what better way to rocket over that top hat? -J "I can't wait until May 25'th" Z
  6. Aw, no Big Mike visit at Kings Island! -J "I don't blame ya..." Z
  7. Shhhh everyone....they can hear us!
  8. Awesome pics! I thought the "Dolphin fly by" was going to be abit longer, but that's still cool! I wish the eight lane slide at White Water World had a big drop like the on in there, that's pretty awesome!
  9. Haha...I was checking out the Holiday Park TR and saw the.."Better than S:ROS?" .."Better than Steel Dragon? No question!" ....but I guess "Better than Mil.F?" Would cause too much controversy. Awesome pics! -J "So over that..." Z
  10. Myeh, it was better than that. But atleast it had the awesome theme of The Angry Beavers!
  11. Cool, nice views of the seats/cars for Perilous Plunge and Sierra. I remember having the same experiance as a kid trying to get on Top Gun. Sooo close. They told me I couldn't ride and everyone boo'd.
  12. It's a Matterhorn. It was pretty cool. Norb and Daggit are awesome. Too bad it got canceled!
  13. In no way did I find the Movie World workers rude or inconsiderate. I just thought that at Lethal Weapon, the combination of three chatty teenage girls = veeerrrryyyyy slow loading/unloading and waiting on the brake run for ages. I remember waiting for the gates to open to get in the car for atleast three minutes and there was no one exiting the ride any more. It just seemed like they didn't really care about what they were doing, they were just there for the money. But whatever, I still had a great time. I'll upload some more pictures of the parks abit later.
  14. I have always had more fun and the staff alone are a major reason to go back to Dreamworld, moreso than Movieworld, i find the staff at Movieworld rude. I really liked the Dreamworld staff. On all the flat rides the crew was very quick and efficient. Get people on ride, check quickly, and clear. All in a fun or friendly manor. Heck as stated before, they offered to take my picture with an entertainer! Oh, and the Cyclone crew was awesome! Movie World was kinda slow...but I thought Scooby Doo was run great with getting cars in and out of the station. There's like...10-12 cars on the track at one time!
  15. Haha sorry, I couldn't remember the differance between the two...and hey, isn't this a theme park site? Cut me some slack! -JZ
  16. Dreamworld was great! I guess it was still like a 'vacationy' park to me, and I hadn't gotten tired of the rides. Plus, I hadn't even explored the other part of the park! Giant Drop is worth the money I payed to get in there, and I hadn't had a proper ride on T.O.T. yet! It was kinda lame, but when I found the airtime, it was really cool! A front seat ride on Mick Doohan was pretty cool. I met some new friends, rode some new rides, and got some good new pictures! I had a blast!
  17. Hey guys! It's time for Dreamworld Part Two! Check out the pics for a full report on a really cool park. Bring a clown free day at Dreamworld? Time for the CLAW. Check out the nice overview. It spins you, it swings you high in the air and then throws you back down, it's awesome, yeah. OI! Airtime! The Claw has been swiping many things recently. OI! Give the Barbie back, Claw! Beach is closed folks, the 'roo out front should have told ya. The Vortex. It's a swirling...thing that spins you around and makes gravity go away! Hey there sexy... Come in here and we WILL SUE YOU! Or worse....put you in...THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE!!!! Doesn't this belong to Universal? Or did that one kid take more than his hat when he jumped the track? Hey KI, can you do this? Aw, it's a big alligator....its looks pretty hungry, maybe I should feed it something.. Ughh...nevermind then... He's missing his yamika. Am I in RCT2? Dreamworld farted and then there were the Lil' Rips. Heyyyy Sarah. Me 'n Lauren be gangsta. The Reef Diver......hahahaha. What goes up.... Scares the crap outa everyone else up there. BIG LOUD NOISE Wow....it's not an Acer or Golden Ticket award! Mmm...all the Tower of Terrors are good. Best. Show. Ever. SPOOTY SPOOTY SPOOT! And then it rained and I had to go home.
  18. Aww man you should have gone to WWW, there is some pretty awesome stuff you missed like the BRO and the Rip, I mean you had done the main DW stuff hadn't you? Geez Hurricane, you're misleading the poor kid Or was the weather cold? Well, BRO looked cool, but KI has pretty much the same thing...but abit smaller. The Rip looked cool, but I was really only interested in that and Super Water Coaster Thing. But from what I heard, it's LAME compared to Deluge at SFKK. New Things Done at DW that day: -Meeting new friends -Metting the WIZZ! -Getting a GREAT ride on ToT! Make sure you leave some space between you and the lap bar, then you get that 6.5 seconds of 0 g's!!! -Breaking The Claw -Seeing the "Aussie Zoo" section of the park -Seeing a 'roo with a joey in it's pouch! It's soooo wierd! -Getting more pictures -More Giant Drop!!! It was an AWESOME last day in Australia. I was so bummed to leave. I'm in Denver right now because flights got canceled and delayed...so I have some internet time! If it isn't too slow, I will get some more pictures up. -J "Grrrr 20 hours on airplanes.." Z
  19. Well, I'm heading home in a few hours. It's been the time of my life here in Australia and I WILL come back. Thanks to all those who gave tips and advice, it helped! I'll be posting more updates later. For now, here's a picture of the COOLEST entertainer at a theme park....PERIOD. THE WIZZ!!!! He rides around on a magical dragon, leaving a trail of toxic exhaust....dodging people as he speeds through narrow pathways while he blares AC/DC! WIZZ.zip THE WIZZ! A must watch video!
  20. I was thinking something along those lines, combined with the whole "barrel down the falls" deal. I think it would be cool if it had a really steep drop down the falls. Maybe like a combo of a log flume with one of those Intamin water rides that drop at like 80* or something? Like the one at KBF and the place in England, I think.

  22. We decided to go to Dreamworld instead, hit up some rides I missed and some more rides on my favorites. DW Pt. 2 is coming soon!
  23. Hey everyone, I went to Wet 'n Wild yesterday and got on all the rides except the Black Hole. Didn't look worth the wait. The park was great! Alot of rides to choose from..and any water park with an Intamin HalfPipe in it is awesome! It was also a beautiful park. It had tons of palm trees and other exotic plants throughout the entire place. It was vastly spreadout. Surfrider - I didn't really know what to expect from this ride. It looked pretty fun...almost like Intamin looked at a Huss Frisbee and turned it into a coaster. It was pretty fun, a few good moments of floater air was good. Can't this be considered a floorless coaster? Is it? One bad thing - They spray you with these fire hoses...ouch. But refreshing. Looking at Surfrider from across the park. Looks steeper than 90* to me. Yay for another new Intamin coaster! I love those restraints. Hanging ten on the most awesome wave out there! Super 8 Aqua Racer (One person Mats) - It was a fun ride. Eight lanes to choose and hop on a mat and slide down. It looks more fun than it really is IMO. KERSPLOOSH. I think it's a tie. White Water Mountain Rapids (one person body slides) - Enlosed slides: One was really good. It was pretty long and zig zaged its way down the mountain. The other kinda turned around and went straight. BUT both had an AWESOME helix of death. Open slides: Both were pretty good with some dip and twisty paths down the mountain. Mmm...four options of awesomeness. One of the Rapids with Speedcoaster in the backround. Mmm...two awesome helixes with nice forces for a waterslide. Twister (enlcosed body slides) - It's the typical twister you would see at a park. I think this one was better than KI's...smoother or something. Speedcoaster (Two-two person enclosed/open slides) - This really puts the word 'coast' in 'coaster'. It was pretty lame...not really much speed, just a gradual decent...then you get about 3m up the hill and fall back ddown. Mmm...time for some lunch! I got the Mountain Burger at Bombora's. Next up I went over to the Mammoth Falls. It's one of those big raft rides. We got six people in a raft and man the ride was great! Countless times your raft went really high up on the sides of the slide! Oh, that's wave pool in there. Some nice waves! The Mach 5. Three jetspeed slides...OUCH. I went on 2/3, because the outside ones are the same. They basically ripped the skin off your back traveling about 85 km/h or something. The Sidewinders were pretty good. It was like the Mammoth Falls except only 3 people and there are more bumps and drops. The Tornado was really good. It was a smaller version of KI's big bowl, but it was still just as good! We got pretty far up the side of the bowl. Back to the otherside of the park to explore some of these "Canyons" I've been hearing about... Terror Canyon 1 and 2(Enclosed double person tube ride) - Wow, now this ride was really cool. There were light effects, airtime, and high speed helixes. The ending was insane! You got sooo airborne on both of the drops! Can you say...airtime?! You really need to hold on....tight! Thanks for reading guys....still more updates to come!
  24. Well if the one at Parque Warner has a backwards double down, it's probably a clone. Here's a video of Scooby Doo's queue area. It's a pretty cool, nicely themed area...check it out! John - Tim Tam's are awesome! I've had the Caramel, Regular, and Double Coat......Double Coat is the best! I'm stocking up before I leave! -JZ stq.zip Scooby Doo! sdstation.zip Here's a video of Scooby Doo station, showing the train launching and car detail. Check it out!
  25. Back to Movie World! Here at the Police Academy Stunt Show, the two villains have escaped! This guy is getting away on a motorcycle. Through those doors is the "magical portal to Hollywood." Yay another credit! And it's a themed kiddie vekoma. These cars were awesome. Wiley says "Let's go blow up that bird!" Ugho......back to Lethal Vekoma. I did like the drop and sharp turn though, it was smooth... Ohh....man, the guy on the left is taking a hard hit to the face. A common LW occurance. Dress it up with a nice coat of pain, give it a great theme and surrounding area, give it a bonus helix...but it's still a true Vekoma SLC :\ Heading back to the Superhero section of the park, you can see the "Hollywood" theme. Paalllleeeaaaassseeee open? Mm....look at that nice top hat. Batman has his own cave, motorcycle, car, armored mobile tank, probably a boat....so why not his own SPACESHIP! LAUNCH! It's my turn to save Gotham City. Yay for my first Batman ride. It was a pretty darn good S&S, too. Beats Power Tower. I'm in the Batcave!!! Batman is hiding in the shadows. Mmm....I'll come back for ya. Superman has Escaped me this time. Flying while intoxicated? Nice hill, does it come in 90*? Ah, now that looks more like it. Airtime, much? Back to Wild West Falls before the park closes. Some aussies I met in the park...my "American Accent" kinda made me stand out. Oh, there's the station. The WWF overview. The park pretty much dead ends here. Almost got all of the sign.....oh well, this ride kicks major butt. I love Scooby! Leaving the park I saw that one chick again, and I had to get my pic with the entrance. Later Movie World...see you tomorrow!
