  1. ^Dang, I wish Sacramento had a Sonic. The closest one is like two hours away. Anyway, Halo 3 is in the mail from Gamefly at the moment! I really shouldn't be this excited, but yay anyway!
  2. So today in Health we watched a video about "unhealthy relationships". It was split into three sections: 1. Moron tries to rape girl because she doesn't spend every waking moment with him. 2. Moron humiliates girl at party because she doesn't spend every waking moment with him. 3. Moron won't stop bothering her boyfriend because he doesn't spend every waking moment with him. And the thing that takes the cake is in the third one, the girls all "Well, when you come back from your camping trip, I might not be alive!" in the most horribly overdramatic way possible.
  3. I'm really hoping to find Fight Club sometime this weekend at Borders, since my school library doesn't have it. Until then, I started Total Constant Order the other day, it's about a fourteen year old girl with OCD. Really pretty interesting, since it lets you get into the mind of someone with the disorder.
  4. Well, they're planning on closing all the libraries except one (which is a public library as well as a school one) in my school district. I guess this is all about the budget cuts in California, but couldn't they have cut something else? I mean, libraries are really freaking important for students.
  5. OMG, I remember that game. I still have the original master set! Such an awesome game.
  6. Eh, why not. Let's see if my 337 songs have some good B-list bands. The Answer - Thanks iTunes for your free singles! Pretty good classic metal-style band. Bang Camaro - Really only known for Guitar Hero games, but they actually have really good guitar and a unique chorus-like vocal style. Campaign - Sure they're just a worship band, and their recorded stuff is average, but they're really incredible live. Drist - Just look up Arterial Black. 'Nuff said. EndeverafteR - Really great hair metal style band, excellently varied songs on their album. Freezepop - I know, it's just another Guitar Hero song. But they're pretty awesome anyway. Green Day - The only real band starting with G that I have on my iPod. Shut up, ok? Hellogoodbye - Excellent electronic band. People really only know "Here (in your arms)". Incubus - Yeah. They're pretty cool. Jamiroquai - Remember that dancing scene from Napoleon Dynamite? That's this band. Kansas - Can't find anything else. Lostprophets - I only know Rooftops. Muse - Very unique, interesting sound. Pretty awesome. Nirvana - That's all I got. Ok Go - As mentioned before, they're pretty awesome, and not just for the treadmill video. Police - Good old stuff. Queens of the Stone Age - Um, yeah. Relient K - Simply amazing, incredible live, great music, deep meaning. Serj Tankian - System of a Down's lead singer, he has an excellent solo CD. Check out Empty Walls. Talking Heads - I love these guys, not totally sure why. U2 - Is there any U band in the world besides this one? Van Halen - Nothing else for V. Weezer - Pretty popular, but I really like some of their new stuff. X I don't have anything for X. Yellowcard - OMG, one of my favorite rock bands ever. ZZ Top - Why not?
  7. Rock Band 2. I finally beat the Rolling Stones Immortals setlist yesterday, on expert bass. There's just that one song I can't beat on expert drums (Battery) or on expert guitar (Painkiller), so I did bass. Not all that hard. And I finally learned how to hammer-on almost all of Panic Attack's intro.
  8. Well, I've gotten back into N+ for DS. Great game, ridiculously hard, but that's how it's supposed to be.
  9. No. I'm not even completely sure what that is. Have you ever heard of the play Dead Man Walking?
  10. Where the Streets Have No Name -- U2 One of my dad's old CDs, I really like it.
  11. How was the book?
  12. Just finished my first viewing of Fight Club on G4. I think I'm gonna need to watch that again. If you've seen it, you'd understand.
  13. Today was the best day of the school year, basically. In animation, we watched Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. In English, we did basically nothing but hang out. After school I went back to the animation room to finish my project, and got to talk to my friend Aaron. After my project, I went to my school's freshman barbeque and got to hang with all my friends. At about 5 I went to my school's junior varsity and varsity football games with the girl I like and another friend. I got home about 9:30. Freaking great day.
  14. I'm straight, and in kind of an awkward position right now. I should probably mention that I've never dated or anything like that. So about six months back, one of my best friends asked me out but I refused because I didn't like her at the time. Now, I like her and am thinking about asking her out. But at the same time I like another girl who just might like me, and there's ANOTHER girl who I'm pretty sure likes me. Right now I'm just gonna wait a bit to see what happens. Tips?
  15. So yeah, this is one of my favorite hobbies: juggling. I've been juggling for over five years. I think I took this about two weeks ago. Woot.
  16. Well, crap. I'm gonna have Algebra 2 and Honors Biology and Spanish I all at once. Hopefully I'll find space for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
  17. I'm officially on the Set/Lights/Sound/Props crew for my school's production of Dead Man Walking!
  18. Good news: I just found a bunch of awesome CDs in my dad's enormous collection, featuring The Beatles (Rubber Soul, A Hard Day's Night), U2 (The Joshua Tree) and R.E.M. (Out of Time). Bad news: Only Rubber Soul is being read on my computer for some stupid reason. For everything else, it's like absolutely nothing is inserted in the disk tray. EDIT: Actually, it looks like my computer stopped reading any disk for right now. Gah.
  19. I'm about 150 pages into Sold by Patricia McCormick. It's about a girl from Nepal who is unknowingly sold into a prostitution home, and has to save up enough rupees to pay back the 20,000 which the owner paid for her. The writing style is pretty odd, since it's written with double spaced lines, so the pages are very short. But it's very intense due to the subject matter. Very interesting.
  20. I have no freaking idea what I'm supposed to write about in my essay in English tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it's about the short stories we've read, but if it's about all of them or just one, I'm not sure. Kinda terrified here.
  21. Bought Braid on steam yesterday. Great game, a little on the short side, since I'm almost completely done with it already. And I hate to admit it, but I had to use a walkthrough in a few parts (freakin' "A Fickle Companion" level).
  22. Remenissions - Avenged Sevenfold Wow. Very different from their newer stuff.
  23. Starting to get more into The Offspring. Love their sound, but the songs I've heard so far sound really similar.
  24. Finished Perks of Being a Wallflower today. Go out and buy this book right now. It's probably the best book I've ever read in my life. The writing style is pure genius, and is pulled of without a hitch. It's funny, it makes you feel good, it's just all around amazing. I don't want to return it to the library.
  25. I'm really starting to realize how big a deal it is that I won the American Legion Award in elementary school. After all, only two people get it each year. And I was the only person on D-Track to win it back in '06.
