I honestly don't think Guitar Hero is that bad. It introduces this generation to amazing songs of past decades, gets them interested in subgenres they usually wouldn't listen to, and even helps with finger speed. Plus, knowing exactly how the guitar part goes (i.e. Guitar Hero notecharts) can actually help you figure out how to play the song in real life. And if you're fast on the solos on expert difficulty, you can get shredding pretty fast like I was able to pretty easily. It's just when people bash Guitar Hero because it's nothing like playing real guitar. What do you expect, for it to have 144 fret buttons over a span of 6 rows? It's a game, not a guitar lesson.

I've decided to completely ignore critics when it comes to movies. They range so wildly, with things like Up getting reviews between 100 and 50, and Transformers 2 getting a highest score of 75, and a lowest of 0. They don't even go by how much they enjoy it, they just nitpick every single tiny detail and consider it trash if the plot isn't as good as it could have been.

I can't stop cracking up about the Mass Effect controversy. Especially Fox News' coverage of it. They say it has "full digital nudity and graphic sex... leaving nothing to the imagination... where the player decides what happens between the two people". They even had a video game expert on the set who kept saying that it was all a load of crap, how it was 30 seconds out of a 30-hour game, but they were just like "Oh, I think I have to stick to the research on this... Who can argue that Luke Skywalker meets Debbie Does Dallas is a good thing?" The sex scene is literally at the end of the game, and you have to build a full relationship with that character, and all you see is a bit of alien butt and sideboob.

And I used to always put 999 in my usernames back when I was on Neopets and things like that, since I was 9 when I first came up with it. It just kinda stuck. So there we go. Onewheeled999.

I blacked out and collapsed today after I got up too fast. I figure it was from dehydration, because it was 105 today and i didn't drink a thing till 4:00 for some reason. Luckily my dad was next to my door and just walking in... to ask me what sodas I wanted from Bel-Air.

My parents have finally agreed to give me a weekly allowance so I can save up for the iPod Touch I've always wanted.

Chain: Little Ceasars. Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten, and for a great, great price. Single: Zelda's Pizza. Been there once, but I remember it being freaking INSANE.

I got Professor Layton and the Curious Village from GameFly today. I've already beaten about 40-50 puzzles in my first day. You'd think that game would be really stupid: an entertaining mystery plot whose sole purpose is to tie together a couple hundred brainteasers. But it WORKS.

I got Mass Effect yesterday. I beat the first mission. It's excellent. I guess my parents didn't know about the controversy behind it.

I've started getting into the band Atreyu. Their song Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor) is pure genius.

Um, I found EndeverafteR by rock band, and Wikipedia showed me that they're a local band. Their album Kiss or Kill is pretty amazing.

I bought my dad a ShamWow at Walgreens today. C'mon, 8 for twenty bucks? How can you say no!

Land of the Lost Holy crap. I don't get why everybody on other websites are bashing this movie. What would you expect from a Will Ferrell movie based on a hilariously bad cult hit TV show? Oscar-worthy material? I loved this movie. It's really stupid, immature, dirty, random, but abso-freaking-lutely hilarous. And even better, if you know the show, you'll find a bunch of sly and obvious references to the series (i.e. Marshall singing the theme song while playing a banjo he found). If you walk into this theater expecting a remake of the TV show that defined your childhood, you will hate it with a passion. But if you don't take it seriously at all, you'll have a great time and have many a laugh. Now, there are some plot holes and inconsistencies, like in the ending (SPOILER: which has Marshall and Holly doing literally nothing to stop Enik from destroying their planet). But hopefully that won't detract from the fun you'll have. Overall Score: 8/10

This is kinda a rant, but not enough for the rant thread. I'm reading comments on the IGN review of The Sims 3. One guy says "THIS GAME SUX ALL THE EXPNSON PAKS FROM THE OTER GAMES R GONE IT TAKS 3 DAYS TO SEE EVRYTHNG IN DA GAME". Some people just don't understand the point of The Sims.

So on myspace I saw an ad that had a screenshot of Rock Band: Unplugged for PSP. It said something along the lines of "WARNING: THIS GAME IS EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE!". I figured it was some kind of GameVance thing, so out of boredom, I clicked it. The URL flashed some random things, and then went to, of course, GameVance. The game was "Rock Hero: Jona Buddies". Basically a crappy looking Guitar Hero ripoff that's based off the Jonas Brothers. -sigh-

That nick show Avatar: The Last Airbender. I watched every single episode. I got hooked and anticipated the start of every season. I cared about the characters and their fates. I freaking loved that show.
