I don't remember if I've posted in this thread already, and I'm too lazy to check. Besides, even if I did, I've made progress. I play electric guitar and bass off and on, I'm playing a heck of a lot less now since my lessons ended. The most impressive songs I can play are Enter Sandman on guitar (minus the second half of the solo), and Anna Molly by Incubus on bass.

Deathbed by Relient K has some of the most beautiful, meaningful lyrics that I've heard in a really long time. It's an 11 minute epic about a man on his deathbed, recalling his life's ups and downs, before finally passing away and what happens after that. So I got Batman: Arkham Asylum for Christmas and started playing it on Monday. That game's seriously incredible. The combat flow is absolutely gorgeous, the pacing of the game is great, and it's all just so much fun. And the voice acting is all-around excellent, even if the character models are a bit statue-ish to me. In a spoiler-free way of saying it, I just created the special formula. Anyone that's played the game should understand.

Well, I guess we can add another celebrity, right as the year ends. Jimmy Sullivan, known as The Rev in Avenged Sevenfold, died today.

Finally gotten back into Half-Life 2 in the Orange Box. I actually managed to finish Anticitizen One and get a good ways into Follow Freeman, which was very satisfying. Today, I started at about the part where you have to cross the acid pit with those wood spool thingys, all the way to where you destroy the three energy ball thingys.

I don't know why, but I just don't like Marvel vs Capcom 2. I really want to like it, as I paid $15 for it in Microsoft Points, but I just don't. Maybe I'm just not a fighting game person.

Woah snap! I just realized that I used TPR as a source for a picture of a suspended roller coaster for my English Powerpoint! It's of Top Gun in PKI, if anybody cares.

So this is the huge animated short film that my school's animation team did. This is like the most advanced classes working together, not my animation 1 class.

I got a form to audition for Advanced Theater next year! Now, all I need is a minute-long monologue... any recommendations, guys?

My 360's been doing some stuff that scared the crap out of me at first. Like, I keep all my games in a basket right next to the console, so I pulled the basket out one day and I guess it pushed half of the console's faceplate loose, I freaked out. It just pops back into place, luckily. Then, the other day, for about 3 seconds, it made this freakishly loud whirring noise during a sorta extended Mass Effect session (maybe about 3 hours). And the little cover for the USB slots? Yeah, it's stuck down. Won't come back up for some reason. But other than that, my 360's been working beautifully. No problems for 8 months!

So I didn't get the achievements in Mass Effect for finishing the romance subplot (which I had no idea how I missed), having a Krogan ally for a majority of the game (I had Wrex for every mission I could, but it didn't work!), finishing a majority of the game, and all the paragon/renegade achievements... Oh well, great game, I'll play it again.

I just beat Mass Effect on casual difficulty. Such an amazing game, if you've got a 360 or a good PC and don't have this game, you're insane. It's long, interesting, maybe a bit too easy on this difficulty level, but looks incredible, and most importantly, is tons of fun. 10/10!

I went to see The Blind Side with my Bible study group yesterday. It's a really great movie, and this is coming from someone that doesn't know crap about football. The acting's believable, the story's got its share of twists, and it was just really good. Highly recommended. 9/10

Why, why, why, why, WHY does the news keep focusing on that uninvited couple that went to the party with Obama? They're doing it for attention, nothing else. And they're giving them EXACTLY what they want! They're basically helping them become famous for pretty much nothing! The news just pisses me off right now.
