  1. This was in the "In the Loop" podcast by Clint Novak.
  2. Nope. I got on The Crypt and didn't even get my ride. I got wet from the geysers as the gondola wouldn't move. Anyway, Dominator was almost a walk-on. Volcano's line was out of the mountain, but I waited a while for Backlot, even though its line was hardly out of the station.
  3. This is ironic, I was there yesterday night and Backlot had the longest line.
  4. On Monday, June 30, 2008, King's Dominion reached a record-breaking (for them) 40,000 people in one day. 30,000 were from the Bank of America. They had to turn people away they were so busy. The campgrounds were used as a parking lot too! The total was 5,000 less than a day's worth of visitors at Magic Kingdom.
  5. Roman Rapids looks like it was more fun to actually SEE the themeing back when it was new, compared to now when I rode it a few weeks ago and it had the forest surrounding it. Plus Apollo's Chariot.
  6. I didn't know Kemah Boardwalk was actually a small amusement park! I thought it was just Boardwalk Bullet!
  7. Cool! The Toboggan is very creative! Why don't you add a Top Spin? It would fit in.
  8. Oh, it was a Zamperla Wind Shear... I thought Gladiator's Gauntlet was a Top Spin... I didn't even know its name. Thanks for this! I never knew what BGE looked like 20 years ago!
  9. Yeah, I just can't figure out how to manually operate it.
  10. Thanks!! I remember playing the Terminator one a long time ago, but I never could find it again! So thanks! Any other Top Spin simulators?
  11. Add fountains to the Top Spin. Patriot looks plain amazing. I would wait 2 hours for that (and I can't stand waiting more than 10 minutes for a ride). That final bunny-hop... looks like it would eject you to China.
  12. I have Nolimits Fairground already. Thanks, though.
  13. Those drawings are simply amazing.
  14. Go to "Search" and type in "Virtual AND Rides" and it should bring up a topic with the Breakdancer Version 1 demo. Click that and on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th page there will be a link to the Top Spin demo and the Transformer demo. Anyone who CAN help me though?
  15. Can anybody link to me Top Spin simulators other than Nolimits Fairgrounds, Virtual Rides, and the Towers Times Ripsaw simulator. Are there any others you can link me to?
  16. Firefall looks fun. I've ridden The Crypt at King's Dominion, which is a Floorless Top Spin. It has fire and water effects too though. You get 4-7 flips on The Crypt during the whole ride. My favorite part of The Crypt is when you go face-first towards the fire and water. Anyway, has anybody here ridden both Firefall and The Crypt? If so, which one do you think is better?
  17. Hypersonic is supposed to be replaced with a new Halloween Haunt maze this year.
  18. Where'd you get the pic of Crypt?
  19. Since you saw it, what is the Inverter? I mean, what kind of ride is it? Did you ride Looping Star at Jolly Roger's?
  20. Yeah, mix up the trees. Otherwise, not much too add. Oh, on Wipeout, I think there are too many water cannons. 3-5 should be enough.
  21. King's Dominion Park Management Either head straight to Dominator, as it's line can reach an hour and a half by 11 AM, or head to Congo and ride Volcano straight away. One or the other. If you started at Dominator, head to Congo next for Volcano. After Volcano, hit up The Crypt since it's right there. It's a fun little ride (guys bewarned: It does hurt!). Now, head to Backlot Stunt Coaster. Try to ride Flight of Fear IF it's open. Then, just go through The Grove and Old Virginia and hit up anything else. Best time to go Weeknights and Sunday mornings. Food Recommendations Trail's End Grill by The Crypt. They have great french fries. The Pizza Parlor by the Wave Swinger. GREAT pizza! Jukebox Diney by Hurler and Ricochet. They too have good fries! Ride Recommendations Volcano. Dominator. The Crypt. Drop Tower. Rides to avoid Hurler (very painful). Rebel Yell (very painful). Grizzly (very painful). Anaconda (very painful). Other Check out the gift shop that you exit into from Volcano. They have some cool shirts.
  22. Wild Maus (BGE) Hypersonic XLC (KD) Hurricane: Category 5 (Pavillion) Wild Mouse (Pavillion) Little Eagle (Pavillion)
  23. I went today. I got in line for Dominator at 10:30 and got off at 11:40. I had to pee and it was so hot in line. Also, Dominator ran a few empty trains around, umm, 11:00 I guess. Overall, Dominator is my #2 coaster, with Griffon being #1. Anyway, otherwise, Volcano's line was spilling out, The Crypt had a big line, and Avalanche was so busy they added a chain line to the queue to fit crowds. Berserker, oh my god, the line was spilling out past the sign for it! I was right when I said Dominator would attract crowds to Berserker.
  24. Aww! I forgot about the media day! I was invited, but you know how school is... Anyway, it actually looks like the loop is rough from when I saw it testing.
