  1. I believe that the state of Ohio has even past a law which mandates that you listen to all posted rules or ride operator instructions. Failure to do so can result in a ticket by the police. I know that most if not all the parks in Ohio with the exception of at least Strikers Grove has a No on-ride photography policy. So that makes doing it literally illegal. I would much rather let Robb take the POV's because for one, he gets the needed permission and two, he does one hell of a job at making the videos look great. Plus I am lazy and would rather have someone do that kind of stuff for me. Anyways thats my two cents... Robb keep up the nice work with your videos. I really enjoy them.
  2. Hey Robb, if you need any assistance with the new software let me know. I have quite a bit of knowledge with the system for styling and MODs and whatnot being my site runs entirely on it. Just shoot me an E-mail I know which upgrades the more help the smoother it will go.
  3. Name: Alan Johnsrud Age: 18 What is your roller coaster count? 314 What is your home park? Valleyfair! What is the nearest big city? Minneapolis What is your occupation? Student/Web Design About how many times a year do you visit a park (including your home park)? 40+ About how many times a year do you travel to a park that is not your home park? 2-4 When you travel do you go primarily to amusement parks or do you also try and hit other sites? Mainly amusement parks. What is the farthest you’ve traveled to go to an amusement park? over 1,000 miles id say. Does roller coaster time get in the way of family time? (Do you choose to miss your children’s or family’s sporting events, holidays, birthdays, etc…) Sometimes it does yes. Do you have any other major hobbies? Yeas I do. Bowling is another passion of mine. Do you get feelings of sadness in the offseason? Do you even have an offseason? Do you travel during the offseason? Sometimes I do during the offseason but I do have a park that is indoors so I can fix those offseason blues. I normally do not travel during the winter. It's just a hassle... Do you consider yourself friends with someone you met who works at an amusement park? (Or reverse it, if you work or worked and an amusement park have you made friends with enthusiasts?) Yes, but only a few of them. Would it bother you to go to an amusement park by yourself? Not at all! I think its better to do that. Get more rides in! Have you gone to an amusement park by yourself? If so have you ever ran into another enthusiast and tagged along with them? Yes I have to both questions. Do you find it easy to make friends with other enthusiasts? Yeah its fairly easy to do unless they are just plain retarded.. lol How do you get your coaster news? The internet mainly. How many different forum sites do you regularly post on? 4-5 If there was a poll that asked a large pool of enthusiasts what their favorite roller coaster is, what do you think would be the top 3 responses be for wood? And for steel? Wood: 1.El Toro 2. The Voyage 3. Boulder Dash. Steel: 1. Millennium Force 2. Superman:Ride of Steel (SFNE before Bizzaro) 3.Apollos Chariot Same scenario but for amusement parks, what would be the top 3? 1.Cedar Point 2. Holiday World 3. Busch Gardens Europe Have you ever “stole a kid” to get a credit on a kiddie coaster? Sadly yes.. Do you cut other categories out of your budget to make trips to parks? (Entertainment, fast food, holidays, tobacco or alcohol, etc…) I try to yeah but it doesn't work very well though the trips will still happen. Before you visit a new park do you research the park finding the best way to navigate the park, get the best deals, or what days to go? Depends on it its my first visit. If so yeah I do a little but I do it by myself. Do you feel the roller coaster enthusiast community is a warm and accepting community, or a negative and discouraging community? Warm and accepting thats for sure. Do you like to talk about your hobby with people who are not roller coaster enthusiasts? Yeah to the ones that will listen! lol
  4. Up there with El Toro is an understatement I think. After the rides we had on the tour I liked Boulder Dash better than El Toro and Voyage. Dash is currently my #1 woodie.
  5. Im pretty much in the same boat as you Phill. Though I am really trying for a 2010 trip myself. A 2009 trip just will not happen. Lets go pout in a corner.
  6. That is pretty old news. There are already photos of the hole on CoasterCravers.net BTW, I was there on Sunday and have some photos. Will upload them if I have time.
  7. http://www.coastercravers.net/ <-- New updates from today including what I call a "soft" announcement. Looks like we are getting a wave pool!
  8. Yeah, 2 thumbs up for credit whoring! That park is a nice little park. Though it was a busy day.
  9. That is not the full station. That is a holding break before the station. They have half of it done.
  10. Nice update Matt. Even though I was not on the add-on trip I still had a great time with you on the full East Coast trip. So many memories that I will never forget. Don't forget, its all about the SAUCE! *WANK*
  11. When I say FF friendly I mean basic no plug-ins. Its the end users responsibility if they have added a plug-in hat interferes with how the page displays. If you have such add-ons, disable them and try it again. Like I said I'm pretty sure your internet connection g is timing out. That looks like the script is not loading fully. I know my site is more FireFox friendly over IE. IE7 has issues with how it was designed. IE8 will fix those issues. Only reason I am more FireFox friendly is because most of my users have FireFox. It all depends on how many users use IE vs FF for a site. Anyways, I think this topic is over with. None of us can recreate the issue and so the issue is not with the site itself.
  12. The code seems valid. I think the issue is your internet connection. It might be timing out or "pinging" out so the page is not fully loading. Even though Robb has said that it is not his goal to make the site FF compatible. Most of it already is. I have experienced no issues with it.
  13. That does not look like a browser issue anyways. It seems more like a script issue. I think I will try to recreate the issue though first and see what I find. (I am a big phpBB fan and so I know its ins and outs pretty well. )
  14. Well HK has pulled a SFKK. (Almost) This one has a happy ending. More info HERE! Well its good thing this tower was a newer version with tension sensors for the computer E-stopped itself. Otherwise it really would have been bad.
  15. Oh it was fun. We made sure it was. It was a great day. I am so tired though I have to wait to make a TR until tomorrow. Im sure Kara has some photos she will post later.
  16. Both of those are false. They just opened the park. They are not going to do a change like that right after opening. Also POS, WILL be repainted. The colors don't match the theme at all.
  17. Well it turns out that none of you followed though. We where there waiting at 1 PM but no one showed up other than timberskara. We still had a good time since there was a group of 6 of us that met up with her.
  18. I ill be at the Mall on the 15th. Possibly on the 14th before a party I am going to. I will be posting any and all photos I take on that day on my site. (See link in banner) I had to post a plug you know.
  19. Well I just posted 25 photos from today on my website (Coastercravers.net) I also posted 2 panoramas from before major changes occurred and after all the steel for the new rides has been raised. Click HERE to check it out!
  20. Steel, Have you not noticed that that is what TPR does and a lot of other sites do? Also slightly lower? Those photos are the most blurry photos I have ever seen. I just posted the list of ride and retail shops that will be closing in the MOA construction thread on Coastercravers for anyone that might want to know what will be closed when. http://www.coastercravers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23 There is the link to the topic.
  21. In regards to Swoosh's comment earlier in this thread. If you where smart enough to read the main page I posted it right there saying the photos where in a members only area. Those photos are very very blurry. Only one of them really shows whats going on I will be going this weekend to get photos for Coastercravers.netWe will also be trying to get photos of these supports that have been mentioned in this thread that where spotted. These photos will be public, as they will only be as current as 1 week. Once track and supports start getting put up then we will post those photos in the member only area. So join today and save your-self time later.
  22. I see someone leaked photos that where member only photos on Coastercravers.net. I request to have those photos removed since I am the owner and webmaster of Coastercravers.net (Yes that means I am Alan..) We put things in the members only area for a reason. At the top of the forums we even have a rule at the top saying not to leak anything in the members only forums. Please remove the photos...
  23. I think I know that ride operator. His name is Bob and he no longer works at Valleyfair from what I have heard.
