  1. ^ Did you check out the TGI Fridays "Atkinz" menu switch? Bacon Churner LOL Bacon Churner: Two whole sticks of fresh Dutch dairy butter on a bed of crisp bacon. Topped with smoked bacon bits, served with a side of steaming cauliflower "fauxtatoes".
  2. Yeah, i was hoping everyone else started venturing to the other pranks and stuff on there, some good stuff. Ketchup Packet Bear?! Wtf?!
  3. ^yup, thats how you gotta do it.. or do you.. the other day I saw 3 Wiis in the store, along with a bunch of wiimotes, classic controllers, and nun chucks, must have been the day of shipment. Oh, and there were some 12 PS3s sitting out front as well.
  4. I was hoping to make a box for it, just have to aquire an empty white case. I like to have all of my stuff like, uniformed, so i was mildy dissapointed with the fact sports came in the cordboard sleeve lol. Im gld others have had this idea as well. I tried downloading the image but it came up as corrupt, so heres a link to a video with a photo link for his box art: http://www.wiichat.com/nintendo-wii-chat/9773-how-make-custom-wii-sports-dvd-box-video-inside.html the art looks awesome, so ill print it out on some photo paper soon and get ahold of a white dvd case. **edit, I found this awesome site http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=1716 this will come in handy for any games I have old or lost covers for... and if you dont like those or dont feel like going through the trouble: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320065520943&rd=1&rd=1 lol
  5. yeah its a few years old, but thats something id remember seeing lol, since I was a big fan of the pie trilogy (trilogy, not these cheesy knock offs) lol, but this would be fun if any fast food place has a sign like this
  6. Its more the how stupid poeple look when investigating. why would I be stereotyping? I listen to MM, Rammstein, play games like Doom and GTA and I'm not shooting up a school. I'm saying how some poeple who investigate into this stereotype/blame things that shouldn't be blamed and it gets out of focus. Marilyn Manson had the best quote when interviewed about Columbine. When asked what he would say to the children, survivors, etc, he said, "I wouldn't say anything, I would listen"
  7. People can always throw their cigarette butts in trashcans... Its not labeled "ashtray" but its all trash.
  8. ^ bad pun, unless it was unintentional... Unfortunate though, very. I'm guessing there will be an investigation on weather these guys played Doom and listened to Marilyn Manson (they sometimes seem to focus more on that then the incident itself...)
  9. The lights on your Wiimote (1/2/3/4) go dimmer as the batteries go down. Its not really the best indication since I wish you could pull up that litte meter anywhere too, but its like a gameboy, lights dimmer, batteries more worn. Also, thanks for the info about controlling the volume on the 'mote, thats always been a little problem for me too, but not anymore. No wmy only issue with Wii will be those damned "codes" if they overuse them. Didn't they do a survey about this and know alot of people hate them?
  10. Random, I was JUST about to post this in the random vids thread, but thanks for creating this topic asit might fit better here. The article is awesome. Can anyone guess which era this commercial is from? http://retrojunk.com/details_commercial/3129/ www.Retrojunk.com has tons of commercials for video games from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I loved the Atari commercial in the article, I've seen it on retrojunk and thought, wow, those people really need to calm down...
  11. ^ agreed, especially since I play alot of Zelda and Red Steel, and both use the Nun-chuck, which drains battery power noticably faster then if you use just the remote. Im hoping to pick up one of the charging stands with the rechargable system from Joytech when its available. http://gear.ign.com/articles/751/751651p1.html
  12. ^ seriously what the HELL is that?!?! Indiana Jones music spliced with random blurry Star Wars scenes and down right horrendous Power Rangers-like battles with a scene of him jumping and kicking looped dozens of times... WTF?! Is that what Turkey got instead of Star Wars? **Edit, I did some research, and this was an actual remake of Star Wars for Turkey. You can read more about it and other Turkish remakes here: http://www.thewavemag.com/pagegen.php?pagename=article&articleid=22122 or buy the DVD here: http://www.5minutesonline.com/1D/TURKISHSTARWARS.htm and... what everyones been waiting for (and so I can contribute with a video clip): Turkish Star Wars: Episode II (yes thats an actual trailer for the sequel)
  13. Theres a difference I read about, somewhere. Its somewhat different because with the Wii, your remote may have cut out before, very quickly, but you may have never noticed it because with Wii, if the signal cuts, it can pick back up on the same signal again and remember settings. The PS3 controller can also loose it's signal, but somehow doesn't remember these settings and just drops, so it has to be re-synched, or something along those lines. If anyone with more knowlege wants to jump in, feel free, I just know I read this somewhere in an article.
  14. Lamb Of God's video for "Redneck" is classic http://youtube.com/watch?v=YBUNidEHiDU&mode=related&search= Although I wish randy wouldn't have shaved his head, its somewhat cliche and his hair was better, lol.
  15. Yeah, there would be alot of insurance and serious packing peanuts on this thing. I was just wondering why anyone would buy something like this (such a detailed and one of a kind model) and sell it on ebay. I guess they just don't have the space anymore and Knoebels already has 2 Phoenix models on display (although this one is much nicer then the older one they have on display)
  16. Looks very well done, Rollercoastermodels.com has alot of very nice stuff. heres the link to the ebay page: Ebay link Also, heres a link to the page on Rollercoastermodels.com about the model: http://www.rollercoastermodels.com/phoenix.html
  17. http://www.cockeyed.com/pranks/pie/pie.html Has anyone seen any of these before? Maybe you have and didn't notice since you weren't looking for it, but there seems to be a decent amount around the country. Makes me almost want to try this...
  18. True, but the thing is, that doesn't even make any sense that they have message boards in the first place... and you can't exchange friend codes. You could do less with a friend code then you can over the internet say on a message board over a browser (such as opera on Wii). I understand the security thing, and you hear about horrible things over the internet, and Ive seen horrible things over the internet, but how many of those stemed from Xbox live or playing Playstation online? I think once they let out a filter-less browser, it started not making sense with all of these other little security features.
  19. I am slightly curious about the "Sixaxis", it looks kinda cheap to me, is it anything like playing Wii? Also, I sadly found this: "Pokemon Battle Revolution, the first Wii online game, hit Japanese stores last Thursday. What did gamers find when they tried to go online? They found a new twelve digit friend code and a brand new list to add codes for this one game. It looks like Nintendo has learned absolutely nothing from the sometimes annoying experience of online DS titles. To make matters worse, you still can’t exchange friend codes in game. You need to send each other codes in real life." I really hope they change this for other online games or for future releases of this game. The code thing is tedious, but a code for every single game, thats way too much. Basically, the whole Wii friend code list is now obsolete if nintendo keeps doing this, there will be a new topic every game, and that code is only good for the console itself, not games. Im just hoping Nintendo realizes this mistake before it gets out of hand. If not, this could REALLY bring the life of Wii down because of how important online multiplayer is anymore. Wii is great and everything, but Nintendo needs to start being smart on online play. They saw what happened to Gamecube, which could have had more success had they went online for more then 2 games, they seriously should have learned by now. Wii is suppose to appeal to everyone, and not everyone wants to sit down and go through 12 digit codes just to be able to play multiplayer. Its not even that mostly, its how you get them. I hope if they do use this strategy, you can still play with random people online and have an option to auto-swap friend codes to eachother's systems What makes NO sense to me is Nintendo served up a browser for Wii with no filter already, then we see this? Also, and article confirming NO individual friend codes: http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=9609
  20. Um, come up with something? I didnt come up with anything, the filter WAS changed so that my and others signatures read that line instead of a set of numbers. If you somehow missed that whole thing, then I do not know where you were. Also, I haven't checked this topic considering there was nothing really to report in it, therefore I waited until there was something to actually contribute thinking it would be appreciated. This was so I could post something actually contributing to the topic, please do the same.
  21. I don't know, I think asking to cut is rude no matter how politely they ask it. Its still politely asking to cut. If these people can't be prepared to line up for a ride for a few minutes/half hour, its a wonder how they found their way to and into the park to begin with, im hoping it wasn't a long drive there, I could imagine them leaving a few people behind and remembering to get them halfway there while at the same time remembering a coke they left on the kitchen table. I know its exaggerating, but still, its 30 mins or an hour in line, a steady ordered group of people all traveling towards the same basic destination, its not difficult/complicated unless people make it that way.
  22. /\ randomly saying colin I did not write that it was part of the "filter" alteration... anyway... Huge flying turns updates here (Flying Turns and general park photos): http://tmcgill1.photosite.com/KnoeblsGroveDecember31st2006/?page=1 and here (Flying Turns and trough photos): http://community-2.webtv.net/Coastin_Steve/FlyingTurnsFotosbyCS/ Tons of recent Knoebels pics including: -Flying Turns completed trough -The trough is actually heated (guess I should have known since its covered in tarp and it is damn cold up there) -Final turn progress (not that much since last time I've seen pics, brake run still just footers) -Retracking on Twister and Phoenix -High Speed Thrill Coaster is missing track (it was just repaitned, perhaps something to do with the flood?) -What those round roofs are for that you see on the skyride (Italian Trapeze and Ballon race covers) -More tucked/dismantled in rides for the winter -New house being built near phoenix that was destroyed in the flood. Thanks to these guys for taking all these pics and sharing them.
  23. I had a dream I was helping a friend with something, then her and I went to some pool hall or restaurant, but when I got there and I think I was playing pool, Ryan and Jay (of Orgy) were standing right there, and they had a concert that night and I missed it since I was busy helping my friend, and I asked them how the show went and was talking to them lol, it was cool especially since it seemed real, so I was like, this is sweet lol. I think I saw Amir wondering around too haha, but didnt talk to him.
  24. Agreed lol. Awesome pics, and is that thing thats inside the Vekoma (the dome) isnt that some kind of snow thing or something? I forget where I heard that. But yeah, the copywrite thing is freakishly huge and takes a little away from some of those good pics.
  25. I took my Wii to a friends house monday night, and us 3 ( her, her boyfriend, and I ) had a blast and they loved it!! Now I REALLY need to find and get ahold of some more remotes!
