  1. Ok, its updated CT, SC, and UT as well and over 55 possible cases, which means its now not only contained to the northeast US. 11 so far are extremely serious cases with more dangerous strains of e-coli which could cause kidney damage. The green onions are still possibly linked and chances are it wasnt the meat. At least there hasn't been any deaths so far, 3 died last year if I remember. I might be hesitant about eating at TB for a while though, too bad they got a monopoly on fast food tacos around here as theres not really anyone else.
  2. I heard about this a few days ago before there were cases in my county and I know alot of people know about it already. As of yesterday all Taco Bells in the area were closed down. It started with 39 cases and recently it jumped up to over 40 spreading across PA including a coulple in my county. They think the green onions could be responsible, which are from a grower in Socal (where the Spinach that sparked the e-coli scare earlier this year were from). They keep closing more down, but how long until it spreads until they close down all of them in the northeast? It seems like a pretty widespread area right now, is anyone here still eating Taco Bell or boycotting it for a while until this passes over? Im not sure if all of these are permanent closures are not ( a few are already ). Heres a link to a newwer story btw: http://wcbs880.com/pages/142859.php?contentType=4&contentId=253720
  3. http://www.nypost.com/seven/12042006/news/regionalnews/spongebob__pals_eyeing_move_to_coney_regionalnews_rich_calder.htm Nickelodeon is interested in being apart of the re-development of Coney Island, maybe this won't be so bad if this is the kind of stuff they want to pull in. Nickelodeon attracts kids, kids like rides, parents like rides, so who knows.
  4. Easiest thing to do if you want to snag one quick without ordering online, but prepared to get there early. I got to Target 2 hours before opening, and there were already a decent amount of poeple lined up (exactly one less then the ammount of systems). You can ask how many they are getting, and most of the time they know about how many but alot of the times its not an exact number. I called Target a couple times asking how many and got 20, but I was last to get a Wii in line at #28 so they had more then they told me which is good. Also, its different with each store how they go about it. Most give out tickets, like Target gave out tickets at around 7 AM so those not getting one didnt wait any longer, and let those in with tickets in the store at 7:30 (half hour before reg opening time) I was standing in line with a woman who also had a husband at another target that waited until 7:30 to hand out tickets and just let them in. Alot of Walmarts are open 24 hours, but don't actually sell Wiis until 8 AM (at least around here), so you can wait in line at the electronics section which is a little better then in the cold.
  5. they look about the same in these 2 pics, you can even line one up with the other: http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/sheikra/sh72a.jpg http://www.bgescape.com/Gallery/albums/userpics/10002/9%7E9.jpg nice new pics though
  6. I GOT IT!! I arrived at Target at around 6 AM to find a line of people already waiting, so I asked hows it going and everyones like, just park and run lol, so i parked and literally ran across the parking lot, passing some people on the way to the line. I would definitly thank those people later, as when time came for tickets to be handed out, there were 28 Wiis, and I was lucky #28 in line! WOO! A few people I met in line were talking afterwards and they were saying how everyone was coaching me to run and all, lol, it was cool, everyone kinda cheered when I got the wii box in my hands since I was the lucky kid who ran lol. Anyway I got home around 8 or so and have been playing since.. or have I? Let me say this, Nintendo, you are my HERO! Why?? My mom and dad dont touch these things, they dont even touch the old Nintendo, let alone know how to turn on a PS2 or N64 and such. I played for about 30 mins having a BLAST!!! This is seriously the most fun I have had with a video game in a while! At the later end of this 30 mins, mom and dad wonder down and congratulate me on my purchase, and start watching. "Bowling hm? that looks cool... Golf? wow, I can do that, can i try?" Yeah.. my mom is now re-organizing the entire living room around this thing, and theyre down there and can't get enough!! They will be playing this thing later when the whole time Im at work!! "oh yeah i saw something about a fishing game too.." Wait, I buy systems and usually unpack them at home, show them they say that looks cool, i ship it upstairs to my room and thats that. My new Wii? I dont think it will ever leave the living room!!! I dont think im allowed to, as its become the focal point. Kudos, kudos, kudos Nintendo, the Wii is nothing short of amazing in my book. For all the naysayers, if you havent seen enough proof, this story is it. Thanks Nintendo for creating this wonderful machine that I can already see will create many family memories!
  7. ohh ok, that seems logical though, because they have nothing of that done yet and if they had blueprints or something they could have at least gotten something like structure and frames before completeling the figure 12. Thanks for the info bob!
  8. Bah, I was all excited, Walmart is really pushing this commercial tonihgt about now having Wiis IN STOCK, Ive seen it a few times so I just called a few and got "We dont sell those yet... not until the 6th.. or 10th, not sure..." and "those are out already? I think we get a shipment in sometime next week..." stupid walmart... Allan "867-5309" Bray
  9. lol i just saw a walmart commercial saying Wiis (also saying I flipped a channel and saw the same commercial, so they are really pushing this) are in stores and stocked more often, called them up, they had no Wiis and were like, "we don't usually have them in stores yet, Im not sure if we sell those right now" I asked when a next shipment comes in she says sometime next week at 12 AM, I called another one and they were like "those are out yet?? We arent selling them until the 6th..." bah they really do suck, Im so glad I have a target that just opened up closer lol. I was just thinking, hey they are advertising they have Wiis IN STOCK on a friday afternoon... oh well. I just got target and asked if they have Wiis, they said "we open at 7 AM and recieve a shipment of about 10-15 Wiis on sunday" I think its obvious lol, I mean at least they employ people who seem like they give a damn or know something. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  10. A sinister moon looks upon iron-clad clouds raining violet marshmallows over towering candlesticks of green flame puffing cotton candy smoke and rivers of demon' tears.. Oh and happy bday Masked Maverick -Allan "867-5309" Bray woot

  13. exactly /\ Its just there to make it look purdy, the layout is what counts for accuracy. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  14. Interesting, and would be cool actually. But for some reason this line stuck out at me: "Leisure time and discretionary income are growing and so are service and entertainment sectors." /\ Yeah.. how come I don't see any of this? My "discretionary income" sure as hell ain't growin'... -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  15. /\ I was wondering if the Wi-fi adapter for DS worked for both DS as well as Wii -Allan "867-6309" Bray

  18. wow I heard its kind of a dump but... Thats such a shame. It used to be so nice, an amusement mecha, how did it ever go to crap like that -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  19. /\ yeah My local target had a couple nun-chucks last time I checked as well, no Wiis, Ive been checking every so often... And yeah good point, Nintendo keeps pumping them out faster then PS3. Does this mean PS3 kinda missed the mark a little? Like if they had tons more then they actyally did on launch, do you think they woulda sold more then/now due to the exitement level then they will when they start actually pumping out more? If that makes sense? Also a funny story... some EB had a line for Wiis on launch day (obviously). Yesterday at school this one guy was telling us about how his friend was 7th in that line of people waiting up ALL night. A guy who was near the back offered him $500 for his place in line, so he took it lol. Turns out, there was ONLY 6 WIIS!! The guy stayed up all night, paid $500 for a place in line,a nd just missed the damn thing by one person! Thats gotta suck! -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  20. I remember this coaster, but I sadly never ridden it. I loved Hunt's Pier, and I even loved Dinosaur Beach! The theming wasnt bad, they had a great idea and it really didnt look too bad! I wish it would have survived. The back side of that pier looks horrible where the river rafting ride was, now filled with sand and gross water. There was a watercoaster back there too, and a log flume. Im not sure what ever happened to the "Escape from Dinosaur Beach" dark ride, I remember seeing it for sale a while ago. I really hope they make this pier into something besides go karts. Theres already Sportland Pier and I think this one deserves to be like it used to as Hunts and DB. Id love to get my hands on the little bastards that torched the castle. That thing looked so cool! and the walkthrough and moat rides were pretty cool! It was such a classic looking old castle. I remember riding into wildwood every year growing up seeing that HUGE looming facade, I was terrified of it when i was little! Im glad the waterpark is doing well there, I was also sad to see Nickels go, but the waterpark seems like alot of fun and its better then go karts or condos (which now reside not even 2 blocks from there now... ) -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  21. RANDOM! -Allan "867-5309" Bray \/ its just not sig worthy...
  22. I saw this on ripleys, I think it would be cool! just have to know what youre getting before going, but re-rides wouldnt be so bad, those fast turns look fun lol. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  23. ...I find it funny that Wii went from an impessive lead over PS3 (somewhere around 200,000 more) to now just about doubling them lol (currently 331,410 PS3's to 662,713 Wiis sold according to nexgenwars.com ) Woot, go Wii! -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  24. very nice pics! the castle at night looks awesome. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
  25. Awesome pics (I kept refreshing as you added them lol), this consistantly looks like such an amazing park, I really hope to visit someday. Seems like a great experience over all, looking forward to future updates. -Allan "867-5309" Bray
