  1. Another good tip, if you are allowed, put signs up around your office. I got HR to give permission for me to put signs up on each of our floors in the common lunch areas. Put little pull off tabs at the bottom with a tinyurl link to your donation page and watch the donations flood in. Sometimes the less direct approach, such as just a flyer in their face, works better then verbal communication.
  2. ^No problem. It's for a great cause and always nice to share the love!
  3. Just gave you $25 sir. Great Job!!!! I'd love to get up to the 4 Digit club. We shall see.
  4. Update: Due to the generous nature of some co-workers today, I have now reached, and exceeded my initial goal. In addition, TeamTPR for Wonderland has now raised over $1000! Though I have reached my goal, I am not even close to quitting. Keep up the good work to everyone participating in this event!
  5. Jason - that is incredible. Team TPR is now over $13,000. Now everyone, go ask your boss to sponsor you! Canada's Wonderland - Team TPR - $956 I just had another $20 donated which brings Wonderland up to $976 and will be getting another 30 within the next hour, putting us over the $1000 mark. Great job by the way on that huge donation.
  6. If you go before schools get out up here you'll be in for some normally light days. I think the school season ends in June sometime now. If you can come during the week in May for example you should see much lighter crowds during the day.
  7. Crowds will be heavy. Let's say this. On preview night behemoth had a 4 hour wait. I'd suggest not coming all the way up for preview night. YouTube wonderland preview 2008 and that may give an idea of the crowds.
  8. Today was a great milestone for me as I've now hit and gone over 50% of my goal. I am slowly inching my way up to reach and hopefully exceed my goal. Great job everyone...it's great to see how much we have all come together for such a great cause. Keep up the great work.
  9. Super excited...only $5 away from reaching 50% of my goal. Got there a lot quicker then I expected.
  10. Signed up and ready for a day of coasters, food, fun and of course, the best coaster group in the world!
  11. Hmmm, ok. I'll try that. Didn't know if I could use that $10 Store Credit towards this or not. Thanks for your help.
  12. Robb/Elissa quick question. I am trying to apply my ClupTPR discount towards this even but keep getting an "Incorrect Coupon Code" error. I am entering it 100% correct. Would you perhaps be able to assist? Thanks in advance. Cannot wait for this event. Leviathan Bash on the 29th and then heading to Newark for the New Hotness trip. It's going to be amazing. Also, for those reading this, don't forget to get out my Coasting for Kids page at https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/joshuamclachlan/CanadasWonderland and donate to a amazing cause. Go Team TPR!
  13. ^Oh ya? Will never let it stop me. I figure I want to live my life to the fullest and not have any regrets. Tetroly of Fallot was real tough dealing with as a child/teenage. I've found growing up those its gotten a lot easier. I am still waiting on one more surgery but the docs keep saying my current valve is a lot better then what it should be so there's no rush to jump in and switch it off.
  14. Another good guess, but.... no! I did not think this question would be a hard one. Since it is a toughie, I will double my donation for a correct guess to $20! You can guess more than once if you'd like. I will start giving hints if no one guesses correctly after a day or so. Have fun! -Jason I am just throwing out a random guess of Hershey Park
  15. Want to tell you a little about myself and why I am am finally taking part in this amazing fundraiser this year. I am Josh, 31 years old and live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My home park and where I will be participating in Coasting for Kids at is Canada's Wonderland. Ever since I can remember I've had a fond love of amusement parks and every aspect of them. Once of my first full books I read was on the history of roller coasters. It's been a passion of mine and even when I remember seeing people participate in marathon coaster riding events at the Canadian National Exhibition I've always said to myself, "one day I will do that". Well, this is my one day and for an amazing cause. I myself was actually born with congenital heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot, basically it means I will always have a leaky pulmonary valve. I've never once let it stop myself from living my life to the fullest and having fun. A group such as Give Kids the World simply amazes me. For people to come together in any fashion of help put smiles on the faces of children who are going through these life threatening illnesses is just a sign that there truly is good in this world. I am honored to be part of this event this year and hope that all the monies I raise towards GKTW can at least put a smile on one child's face and help them to have an amazing week in Orlando. TPR has been my first stop on my daily internet routine and for them to be helping out in such an amazing fashion just truly shows how dedicated they are to ensuring everyone can find a smile in their day to day life. Thank you TPR for being an official team this year and thank you for letting us crazy people come together for such an amazing event. GO TEAM TPR!!! Me with Snoopy at WCB 2012 @ Knotts Me on Tower of Terry in Orlando this past July. I am in the Iron Man shirt. Me marathoning Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland 10 times in a row without getting off and freezing my hands off in the process.
  16. I personally couldn't tell. I was standing right under the first one basically and I don't recall hearing anything, but being magnetic maybe they aren't loud or make any noise at all.
  17. I am thinking front for view but back for pure speed and "Oh $#!T" moments.
  18. It's funny, I never noticed that. Looking at this pic below though your'e right.
