The Bryan and Adam Show Thread
grinch1313 replied to Not For Sale's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, Bryan, that was quick! I just got home a half hour ago! I had a great time today. It was mostly hanging out with the three of you that made it fun, though. Cypress Gardens was OK. I would have been really disappointed if I had paid $40 to get in, but it was worth $10. The lady operating the Fire Truck ride was the best ever. When asked if adults could ride, she said "What are they gonna do, fire me?" And Neil and I broke the ride. It didn't lift all the way up until the very end and then fell all the way to the bottom. Fiesta Express was my 250th. I rock! -
Robb Alvey's 30 Pounds in 30 Days - 2008!
grinch1313 replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
Good luck, Robb! I'm also using the Wii Fit method of weight loss. I just finally found my copy on Thursday. I was so excited. So far I'm down 5 lbs and my Wii Fit age is down from 41 to my actual age of 29. It's actually really fun and motivating me to exercise. My brother and his girlfriend are both playing too and we keep bettering each other's scores. -

The Cyclone Racer can also be seen in that cinematic gem: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? There is quite a bit of footage (most on ride). I highly recommend the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version! -
I had a great time during that week. Robb & Elissa always put on such great trips and it was a pleasure doing Halloween in Orlando TPR style. Thanks so much to R & E for putting it on and to all the great new people I met and all the awesome friends I saw again! And special thanks to David for being my shield and helping me survive HHN!!

I had to quote Hector here because I didn't know anyone else had heard of and loved the soundtrack to A New Brain. It's my favorite musical soundtrack and I would have killed to see it. The Spamalot soundtrack is in my car and plays perpetually. It's great for singing along in the car. I also would have killed to see the original cast of this show. I saw Curtains in NYC in June 2007. It was awesome and I got to meet my hero, David Hyde Pierce after the show. I've also seen and really liked, but not on Broadway: Grease, Rocky Horror, Phantom of the Opera, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. My favorite movie musical (and movie) is Singin' In The Rain. Other movie musicals I love are Cabaret, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, 42nd Street and many others. I love musicals!

That was completely amazing. I'll be singing "Fly with the Phoenix" in my head for the rest of the day. -

Hey, it's one of my favorite pictures from the trip. As you can see, it became my avatar! Hershey was a great day. I had an awesome time there!! And I'm glad you guys hijacked me for the night ride on Fahrenheit! It was soooo much better than during ERT. Then there was the night ERT on Lightning Racer. Taunting the other train was so completely amazing. I believe Ben and I were in the front and taunting when Lightning got it's first win of the night. That was complete bliss. I liked the Reese's shirts. I have no idea what was happening in that one photo of me. It is cracking me up though! Great photos of a great day, Ben. "Smudge" and all. Edit: I forgot...."It's the milk chocolate." -
I'm currently reading The Shining by Steven King. Then I plan to pick up some more Steven King to read after that. I'm also going to read I Am Legend, because I own that and haven't had the chance to read it yet. I will probably end up reading more than that too, but that's what I have so far. I read The Hound of the Baskervilles almost every year around Halloween too. Edit: 300th post

No one really knows what was going on there. The SAUCE was awesome on the pizza. It's all about the SAUCE!! -
I remember going to Disney and waiting 1 and 1/2 to 2 + hours for the E ticket attractions during the summer. We would only end up getting on a few of the best attractions because of the line length. Fastpass is the greatest invention in my opinion. Now, we can get on all the major attractions plus some others as well and still have time left over. The gold Qbots were a god-send at the Six Flags parks that had them. At Great Adventure, we only had 4 more credits to get before the rain started. We rode all the other coasters in just a few hours. I love the Fastpass, Qbot, Express Pass options. I am definitely willing to spend extra to get through an entire park in half a day. It leaves plenty of time for re-rides.

Between Sesame Place and the Mr Rogers ride at Idlewild, my 5 year old self was in complete and utter heaven. I was a Sesame Street addict from about age 2 or 3 until way later than I care to admit. Chalk me up as another Super Grover fan too. Vapor Trail was a great coaster. I have to say I honestly enjoyed it. We only rode that and a Tweedle Bug rockin' tug ride that we broke the lap bar on. -

It's amazing how different the ride is from the front seat to the back. I loved the ride in the front seat. Good thing we took Ben's 250 picture before the ride. -

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
grinch1313 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Phoenix at Knoebels I lost count of how many times I rode it. John (hangandbang) and I just kept switching seats and getting right back on. It only further secured it's spot as my favorite coaster. -

Ben, that ride on Wild Beast was probably one of the worst things I've ever endured. Definitely one of my least favorite coaster that I've been on. We knew it was going to be horrible when the train "walked" to the left hill, then the lift was rough. We ended up hugging each other for dear life by the end of that ride. The first coaster I've ever considered torching myself. Erik, the powered coaster was also my third favorite there, behind Behemoth and Vortex. After that you get the mouse and then they go by how painful they were. Time Warp, Wild Beast, and Flight Deck all at the way bottom. Those are evil, evil creations. -

Idlewild was so totally amazing. It was my favorite park of the add on. All of the really old school flats were amazing. Rollo Coaster was a great woodie. The Vekoma mouse was amazingly fun. The hand cars were fun, but exhausting. And everyone should: "Come along, come along to the castle hug n' song" -

I have no idea why I know this or why I kept track, but we did 14 laps on Boulder Dash together. It was completely and utterly amazing. Any ERT is better than no ERT. It doesn't really bother me if it doesn't start exactly as scheduled. It's not that big of a deal. Also, I'm on vacation. I don't let too much bother me while I'm on vacation. I save the stress for work. -

Great TR so far, Ben! I look forward to more photos! Bobselds cracked me up. That is why I look so amused in the photo. It was such a strange little ride, but really fun! I will also agree to the comment about the scary airtime on the flume. I was in the front and we started going down the drop when I realized just how steep that was. It was totally amazing! -

I thought I was going to die doing that run. But I certainly was not going to miss that bus. I'm just going to have to do some running before next year to get in better shape. Although I will never cut anything that close ever again. -

I was quite happy to partake in "Ice Cream: The Ride" as well. That ride looked terrifying. And after seeing everyone's faces on it, I knew it was. Great TR, Natalie! I love the photos and the captions!! And the photos of the girls on the log flume...priceless! -

Great photos, Erik! A great reminder of the awesome time we had on the Behemoth trip! I hate that the trip is over and I'm back home (especially to a tropical storm), but I love watching as all the trip reports start appearing. -

I made it home today just in time for a nice tropical storm to come through. I'm holding out hope that I don't have to go back to work tomorrow. The trip was completely and utterly amazing! I have to profoundly thank Robb and Elissa for yet another fantastic trip. I look forward to watching the photo trip reports pop up. It was amazing seeing old friends again and making some new friends as well!! I am completely addicted to the TPR trip experience!!
