Photo TR: Animal Kingdom & EPCOT 6/3
grinch1313 replied to grinch1313's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hehe. It's true. With my Mom being a huge fan too, we've seen him at least 6 times that I can count. I'm starting to know which songs he plays in concert. He shakes up the order, but there's a few that never change. It definitely is a good show so I recommend seeing him if you get the chance. -

^^ I haven't been on it enough times to notice the difference. This was only my third time since Animal Kingdom opened. ^ The second bridge shook on Sunday. I'm not sure how much it shook before so if that's change I don't know. Thanks for reading and commenting. -

Next up was EPCOT. And the real reason we made the 2 1/2 hour trip to Disney. Walking from the car into EPCOT. It looks so far away. We got awesome sauerkraut and frankfurters for dinner in Germany. Too bad we never got to see Soren. Soarin' Behind Canada! My mom loves Peter Noone and he puts on a great show. We've seen him about 5 times in the past two years, including last year at EPCOT Now the real reason why we were there. Peter Noone from Herman's Hermits was playing! Mexico. Home of the Gran Fiesta Tour. We rode two weeks ago, but sadly those pics are gone. I was bored waiting for the boat across the Lagoon so I took pics. Here's Tower of Terror behind Morocco. I never realized how close these parks are. The backside of Mickey & Minnie plus Spaceship Earth And Pirate Goofy There were characters made out of flowers too. Here are Pirate Mickey & Minnie. It was the last day of the Flower & Garden Show. This picture came out great! -
This past Sunday my mom and I took our second trip to Disney this year. The first was merely 2 weeks ago. Since we had spent the day at EPCOT a couple weeks ago we decided to hit up another park this time. And Expedition Everest being a huge draw, we decided on Animal Kingdom. And this time my camera didn't screw up on me so I've got pictures. Yay! Enjoy the pics!! Animal Kingdom is getting a new sit down restaurant. Yak & Yeti UH-OH Yeti ball has been breeding.. Yeti foot print There is awesome theming all around this ride. It's worth waiting in the queue once. Cool looking door with yeti on it. This picture makes the mountain look massive! I love this shot of Everest that I caught from where we ate lunch. Disney is the only place I still see Balzac. I actually didn't know they were still made. The really shakey bridge. Who do you think you're looking at?? This guy slowed up our ride a little bit. Flamingo Island. There are a few really adorable babies if you look closely. There were quite a few elephants out and about. More animals to be seen An overview of the savannah area Big Crocodile under really old looking bridge. Lots of animals to be seen today. First up, Hippos!! No bad dancing is allowed on this or any other Disney Ride! You must sit up straight and hold the hand of the person next to you! After grabbing a fast pass for Everest, our first ride of the day was Kilimanjaro Safaris It was pretty crowded as we cruised into Animal Kingdom at 11:30.

I generally prefer the back, unless I can get the very first row. I love the view from the first seat, but I tend to enjoy the ride more in the back. The one major exception I can think of is a Schwarzkopf looping coaster because the forces are much more intense in the front. At least through the vertical loop.

Ok I just have to say that video was the most adorable video ever. I'm glad you guys are having fun on Kristen's first trip to FL. And I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one who likes Ice better. Have a great trip guys. -
Count me in as a TPR MSTie. I love that show so much. I have all of the DVDs that have been release so far. "A Touch of Satan" and "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies" (Love that title) are personal favorites among others. And I love the shorts. "Mr B Natural" is probably the most disturbing thing I have seen!!

Thanks! That is what I was trying for. I'm very happy with the way the photos turned out and how this TR did also. And meeting Penn & Teller was like the highlight of my life actually. I was watching Bullshit earlier today too. And season five starts March 22. I can't wait. ~Kim

For a Christmas present, my parents surprised my brother and I with a trip to Las Vegas. We went last Saturday, Feb 24 and got back late on Tues, Feb 27. It was so much fun and I already want to plan another trip out. I got up to 52 coaster credits. And I got to meet two of my heroes. But more about that later. All pics taken by me and my brother Brandon. On To the Pics: And I will end this TR with the Pussycat Dolls game table that was at Caesar's Palace! What a million dollars looks like! It was the prize for winning a poker tournament. And just as insanely happy to be meeting the 6'6" Penn. After the show, we got to meet them and get autographs. This is me super excited to be meeting Teller. Monday night was the highlight of the Vegas trip for me. Seeing Penn & Teller!! New York New York from the Eiffel Tower. Most of the coaster is visible. The front of New York New York. The next day I went for credit number 52, the coaster formerly known as Manhattan Express. It is the one coaster I wouldnt ride again. That night we saw the awesome Cirque du Soleli show, The Beatles Love. I highly recommend it! The Adventuredome credit I couldn't get, Miner Mike. Into the dark cave portion. Corkscrew over the mini golf course. The vertical loop goodness! And credit number 51...Canyon Blaster! It was really fun actually. We rode twice. Our first ride was the Sling Shot. A weird combination space shot and drop ride. It hurt. Our next stop was the Adventuredome at Circus Circus. Everything was very pink! The tower from the taxi stand Through the tunnel! The vertical loop and a plane flying overhead. I didn't realize the plane was there until after i got home. The loop.....through the trees! My 50th credit (Speed: The Ride) and the Stratosphere in the background. I wasn't even willing to try the Big Shot. The ride continues to drop even further down! The woman in the front yelled "I changed my mind" at this point. They also had some rides that I would never get on in a million years. Just going up on the Stratosphere was an achievement for me! You could see the whole layout of Speed: The Ride too. There is an incredible view from up there. The next day, we started off at the Stratosphere. The sign in the bathtub at out hotel. It says "Tub water fill does not shut off automatically" It was really spectacular! We also caught two showings of the Freemont Street experience. The first night we went to the old strip, Freemont Street. The cowboy greeted us! Our hotel from the Eiffel Tower. We stayed at the Parisian Hotel and Casino. They had a replica of the Eiffel Tower out front. The Grand Canyon is impressive even from the air! Flying over snow. This was exciting for a native Floridian who's never seen such a thing! Me in the airport at 6 am. Who's brilliant idea was it to leave at 7?

Wade Shows did the rides for the South Florida Fair and I looked at their website and they are also doing the fair in Tampa. -
My family and I made our yearly trip to the South Florida Fair this past Thursday. We had a great time although we froze because it was in the 50s. I know. We are Floridians though. I had my trusty magical TPR hoodie to keep me warm. I took a bunch of photos of some of the rides. My camera is new and I'm still getting used to taking night photos with it so some of them came out blurry. I'm going to post the best and most interesting ones here. Me rocking my magical TPR hoody and the free hat from the local country station! I was trying for a moody shot but I squinted. Oh well. My brother and his girlfriend outside the Alpine Bobs ride. Magnum PI - the ride! This picture is a little blurry, but I had to post it! The Enterprise in action. My brother and I rode it and we got the longest ride cycle I've ever had. We were seriously on it for at least 6 minutes. Wild Cat roller coaster. This was the best ride of the night. And a new credit for me. Number 48, baby! The Zombie haunted attraction. Looked cool from the outside, but it cost $3 so I didn't go in. One of the many ferris wheels and the Space Roller! Crazy Mouse. We seriously sat spinning on the break run for like 2 minutes. The Zipper....scariest ride in existence! The Zycklon coaster. My first credit of the night. Too bad it was one I got last year. The wacky worm from above on the sky ride. The poultry tent is sponsored by KFC. WTF?? My family's front gate photo. From left to right: my brother, his girlfriend, my dad, my mom, and me.

I was at EPCOT on Sunday. After waiting 2 hrs for Test Track (two breakdowns while we were in line), my family and I were part of the group selected to recieve the mouse ears. -

I love crazy mouse coasters. Actually, any wild mouse coaster in general. I just think they are pure fun and I usually can't stop laughing while riding. -
Excellent trip report! Those are some really amazing photos. You are a great photographer!

Best coaster ride when raining
grinch1313 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode the Phoenix one night quite a few years ago. It was 60 degrees out (in the middle of August) and raining. And I was in the front seat. It was the most insane ride I've ever had on it. I don't think I was in my seat at all. -

That was a great article. Thanks for posting it. It pretty much captures why my family loves Knoebels so much. As for the Flying Turns, I'm very excited about it. It is looking like it is going to be a lot of fun! And they are making remarkable progress on it. -
