  1. Man, I remember riding that Dutch Wonder House ride nearly 10 years ago and it was a one-of-a-kind ride. I might be driving by the park on Monday, so I might see about bringing my camera.
  2. UPDATE #22 Comet Hollow Construction I have started work on SDL, built the Tilt-A-Whirl, games, and completed Skyview. The only thing wrong with Skyview is that I built 2 90 degree turns on it to turn around at the right place. I hope to work on some of Minetown and Music Box Way soon. Skyview and SDL. Comet with supports and running lights, Tilt-A-Whirl, and games building. Comet with running lights.
  3. ^^^ Hand Paint because just dunking it in could cause an uneven coat. ^^ I feel very confident in this project and even if I don't succeed, I'll still have enough data on aceing this project. ^Plastruct. Using this will reduce friction and a smooth ride. I might need to design a jig to bend the track into it's shape and warm it under water to make it bend easier. Also, if I remember my physics correctly, if I add weight to the cars it would give me more speed to make it up the hills. I could also if possible, sand the track for a tad more friction there too. EDIT: I e-mailed myself the wrong pic, so here it is! All the footers are in place and ready to go vertical. All the footers are in place.
  4. Sometime before the end of next month, yes it's going to be a working model which is going to be powered by a fan motor or an RC car motor plus there's going to be a control panel for real-working brakes, and the supports are going to be small wooden rods.
  5. UPDATE! The coaster is ready to go vertical!!!! (Well, on the computer that is.) My dad found a solution by adding all the footers at the same time instead of adding them one at a time. This ment that I wasted 5 or 6 days. Also, the first support has been designed which is located just outside the station and before the jojo roll. The size isn't exact yet because I need to figure out the angle of the drop (looking for my protractor to do this). Stay tuned and here's some screens. EDIT: The overall view of the coaster will be posted later. Also, could a mod. take away the poll at the top of the page? Thanks! The first support. (not the official height).
  6. This belongs in the Games, Models and Other Randomness topic area.
  7. That thing is the Hershey High School, not Hershey School or Hershey Hotel. The Hershey Hotel is in the upper right corner of the picture. Great TR and I'm looking forward to going in August!
  8. Thanks for the link, It might come into use later in the construction phase. UPDATE #21 After tearing down the comet again for the 2nd time and all of Der Deitschplatz, I've finally got it all figured out. The Comet was reconstructed for the 3rd time, the station has been added and I downloaded another scenery pack. I paid a lot of attention to detail on the station as you're about to see. Tell me what you think. The re-done area that I've been working on. Tell me what you think. The station for the Comet.
  9. She was crying for her mommy just after the judge sentenced her, and that's for real! I hate people like Paris (ex: Britany Spears, Lindsay Lohan), they're always trying to make themselves the center of attention and living in their own fantasy world surrounded by their money. It's these kinds of people who our hurting our youth and maybe our society.
  10. The trains kind of look multi dimentional to me. Only if StormRunner got them.
  11. The new Axis website is up! This new one features more features than the older one! Some of them might not be functional yet, but stay tuned for more stuff to be added to it! The old one still works, but there's a link to the new site inside. http://axiscoaster.tripod.com EDIT: Also, some more footers have been placed! These include the banked rise portion up to the crossover through the immelmann. Stay tuned for more updates!
  12. UPDATE #20 Comet construction and Founder's Circle Construction. The Comet has be constructed! The only change is the big gap between the edge of the circle and the coaster, but if I remember correctly, there's a employee path in between there. More custom scenery has been downloaded so now I can build lockers, better stone walls, etc. I still need to build Crustano's Deli and nearly 1/2 of the Craftbarn. More Soon! The Craftbarn (so far) The park The old Skyride building With the Comet added, it's now starting to look like Hersheypark! Lockers near the Hersheypark Kids building. After a few modifications, I made it fit a little better. I had a little trouble with this design, so I tore it down and rebuilt it.
  13. The reason why is that these kinds of coasters have a higher chance of getting airbourne and crashing. This ride has a very low chance of getting air on it since it's all downhill. By the way, it looks like the webcam lift is starting to take it's shape.
  14. I don't know, I counted 2 or 3 lifthills so far on that ride, could this be the coaster with the most lift hills?
  15. ^I don't know. \/ Has been out for a few days already.
  16. Yes Did you ride Maverick yet?
  17. The second one features payphones, diagonal walls, stadium seating, that kind of stuff. It's a good set.
  18. Right now I'm watching it and between a terrible Elvis singer, some human-slinky and singing bus driver. There were some good ones like the puppeteer, and family fiddle band. Tempers flared between Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan and she almost walked out on the show. So what are your thoughts about this season?.....
  19. UPDATE #19 Founder's Circle Construction A heck of a lot of work has gotten done. All rides in Founder's Circle have been built, some pathcovers and new curbing has been added, and some buildings have been built. Founder's Circle Looking towards the Carrousel. A new entrance sign has been added.
  20. Ain't it wierd that only white people are being accused of being racist these days? As for that girl, she should've been kicked out and even though she probably would turn around and sued the park and call the security guard a racist, what's more important? Having a 13 yr. old saying f you in front of 5, 6, 7, or 8 yr. olds and ruining those families' day or kicking her out of the park and having peace of mind that there's one less rule violator out of the park "or at least until another one replace's him or her"?
  21. My first coaster was Trailblazer at Hersheypark when I was 8, but my first "real" coaster at Hersheypark last year when I was 14.With 9 credits so far, it looks like I got a little more riding to do this year!
  22. I was talking to my dad about heading up there when it opens, but with gas prices and the unknown opening date, it might not even happen.
  23. There is a loose articles policy and I might be going sometime in late July/early August and I hope to get enough footage to create a music video. Since mine is a new video camera, I wouldn't plan on taking it on any looping coasters. When I went about 5/10 years ago, I rode skyview with a disposible camera; it was in clear view and nobody said anything to me.
  24. ^LOL!! I love that line in Shrek! What are you taking about? HP still mantains most of it's theming. Midway America, Pioneer Frontier and The Boardwalk still kept the area's mood. The only area I doubt is Minetown with The Kissing Tower, Great Bear, Twin Turnpike, and Flying Falcon being there. The park should've just kept the Kissing Tower and Turnpike in Tower Plaza instead of combining it. The Bathing Suit rule is something that I agree that doesn't get followed or enforced, but you may get a few peeps who might want to change in their car. But becides that, who would want to ride Wildcat or Lightning Racer and get a soaked a$$?
  25. Best: Lightning Racer Great Station and depending on the day, it's not hardly ever full. Twister It's great to be inside the helix. Worst: Trailblazer- Hardly anything to entertain you, well, there are those ceiling fans above you. At least those keep you occupied for about 5 seconds. Roller Soaker It takes forever to wait in line. Took me about 15 to 30 minutes to make it through the 2 switchback clusters in the station and right before I was about to board, I had to go.
