Author's Notes: It's been awhile since I last posted a park (probably more than a year), but I really didn't want to post one unless I was sure that I would be able to finish it. Right as soon as the off-season began, I decided that I wanted to do a park that would be creative and kind of piggyback off of an existing movie and continue it on. This movie was Wall-E as it leaves the viewer wondering what happens when the characters return to Earth. Next, I needed to figure out a way to connect the movie to the concept of building a theme park. This is where the character, Charles, comes into play. He is the son of John and Mary from the movie with a big interest in history and theme parks of the past. 30 years after the planet's recolonization, he wants to start a company and bring back the amusement industry after over 700 years. Since I had so much fun building this park, I want to continue the story and build more parks to tie into it. I did manage to create some custom scenery objects for the park. The Wall-e and EVE characters are Sketch-up models that I downloaded and extensively modified to be imported into the game (pretty much all the faces on the objects were replaced to reduce the amount of polys) and will not be released for download. The original Wall-e model was created by Googlemeister and the orignial Eve model was created by TheNoel at Trimble 3D Warehouse. Hope you enjoy the park! ______________________________________________________________ It has been 30 years since the re-colonization of Earth and since then, much of the Earth has returned to it’s former state. Much of the debris has been cleaned up, the trees and flowers have returned and it has gotten cooler. Hi, I’m Charles. I was one of the first people born here. Ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated with history and what people did for entertainment more than seven-hundred years ago. On my spare time, I love going through data files on theme parks from the 2000s and 1900s and wishing that I could’ve lived during that time. I wished that we still had something like that, but all of them were bought out or closed up towards the end of that century. With the technology that we have today, the time has come for this fun to return and I have some friends that are willing to help. Welcome to Next-Gen Gardens: the first in a line of parks set to re-introduce fun and theme parks under the EnviroPark Corporation name. As owner of the company, with the help of Wall-e and Eve, our companies’ goal is to expand throughout the re-colonized and re-growing Earth and provide new locations for people to have fun, learn about and from the past, so that the future is bright and clear. When we talk next, I take you on a tour through the park, talk about Next-Gen’s attractions, the history of the industry, and where does the company go from here. Welcome to Next-Generation (or Next-Gen, for short) Gardens Theme Park! Here is just a small portion of the skyline. The Lighthouse is pictured in the center. Here's a preview of what's to come. In the next update, you will start to get a look at the park's attractions. Stay tuned!

Looks like it was created on Google Sketch-Up. It resembles kind of a futuristic/contemporary feel. I really like the appearance of the roof structures along side the path leading up to the hub. I am definitely going to take a few minutes during the Midwest Tour to check out this entrance! -

I don't know, but it looks like they are going to go for the last piece today. Looks like they have one more section to go! -
The Intamin Super Pack

^You pretty much just created the best custom trains I have ever seen for RCT3. Everything looks exactly like the real thing, but there's just one small thing about the track. Just make the crossbraces on the track round and it will be perfect. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see more! -
Posted in "holes in the back of the wave pool" page ...or stupid. Keep striving. That Darwin Award is within reach! Its fun, what the point of living if you cant do something a little dangerous every once and a while. The stupid level on this reply ranks up there almost with the illiterate posts made by the GP on Facebook. Tells me that this guy would fit in well with the YOLO camp.

...or stupid. Keep striving. That Darwin Award is within reach! Its fun, what the point of living if you cant do something a little dangerous every once and a while. My advice? If you do that just to live a little on the edge, then don't even step foot into a water park and put yourself and the lifeguards who would try to rescue you because of your stupidity, at risk! Just another reason why I hate the phrase YOLO. I remember when I was young, I was afraid of the drains on the bottom of a normal pool and of possibly being sucked into one of the wavemaking machines. I am still leary of the machines and usually keep a good ten foot distance from the ropes. -
What's your closest coaster?

Skyrush at Hersheypark. It is 0.8 miles from my house. Taken from my balcony. -

Glad I'm going on the Midwest Trip! My expectations on this coaster just bumped up a few spots! Loved what I saw in the partial POV, but can't wait to see the complete one! -

Looks like they decided to copy off of Disney, in my book. For example... -Train station crossing over main entrance, mansion in the place of the castle, mine train coaster in the place of Space Mountain, center hub layout with areas surrounding it, rapids pirate ride in the place of either Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mountain or Jungle Cruise, racetack in the place of Tomorrowland Speedway, etc. But the back of the park does look like it would be different. Kind of reminds me of EPCOT without the countries. It looks like a cool concept, but I don't know. I kind of hope that this won't end up to be the final layout and they go with a little originality.

I'm pretty sure that it will open on time. Considering the coaster isn't a prototype that hasn't been done before, has a traditional lift hill with almost 4 months to go with almost half of the layout finished. I'm willing to bet that the layout would be finished sometime around March if nothing comes up. -

Posted a page back. From what I heard two weeks ago, they are in the process of manufacturing the new trains and might have them ready to be tested this spring... But knowing the history of this coaster, that doesn't really mean much. -
So this is going to be built somewhere in the safari and isn't going to be the main entrance? If so, then that explains the lack of an entrance and sounds like a cool concept. The loading/unloading area seems odd as it looks like there's a path that goes in front of the station. If so, then I could see some careless guest not watching what they're doing and getting hit by a vehicle. EDIT: I'm wondering if that red line could be the zipline?

Photo TR: Six Flags America Shenanigans
Ccron10 replied to cal1br3tto's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
This! I burst out laughing when I saw this when I went there back in August! Especially when I just visited the cleanest park in America the day before! Good Trip Report, it brought back some memories from my visit. Loved Wild One. -
Totally missed this, but not like it's badly out of date or anything. Sounds acceptable to me. Admittedly, I am the type to mourn the loss of buzz bars, even on rides that don't offer the right kind of airtime to enjoy them to the fullest. But I remember Rolling Thunder in 2011 as an airtime-free ride. Though incidentally, 2012 on a rainy day was a different story, as it surprised me by being just a bit of an airtime machine (and nowhere near the back row, at that). That is good to hear. Last season I waited a 1/2 hr to ride it (the group I was with wanted to ride it) and it looked and rode kind of horrible. Hopefully the new trains will not make me feel like i'm in the middle of an extremely tight seat divider sandwich and the seatbelts speed up loading. During the last visit, they were averaging 3 minutes and 20 seconds to dispatch each train with a lot of standing around and talking occuring. By the way, I am starting to think about a good date to visit this park on. I want to visit on a date where most of the coasters are usually a walk-on, but the day would be after Memorial Day. I've heard some stories about going on a day when school is in session can guarentee this. Is this true?

A few more feet and it could've taken care of the Vekoma SLC. So close...
