  1. The trackwork is completed! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/25/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-100-32312-trackwork-complete/
  2. Done! Photo is from the Project 2012 group. I'll be stopping over to get another update later on.
  3. The first one is 80 feet, and the second is 60 feet.
  4. One piece of track to go! Panorama! I'll try to squeeze in an update for tomorrow. We might see the track completed!
  5. Turns out that they are currently installing the second to last track piece. I'll stop over on my way home to do a brief update! Taken by Walt on the Project 2012 group.
  6. Not quite true. Most concrete design is based on a "28 day strength" but the actual time it takes it to reach that strength can be much less. Oftentimes they will break sample pieces poured at the same time to check the strength. I usually see concrete with a formal cure period of between 3 and 14 days. There's a crane across from the construction entrance and some of the track and supports are now on flatbeds, so it might be soon. ____ The station railings for the stairs have been added, some decorative rockwork to the path, and Comet's station is starting to look even more unique. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-99-3-21-12/
  7. Photo taken by Kim from the Project 2012 group: _____ New Update! The station is starting to look awesome! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/20/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-98-31912/
  8. This season is looking to be good for me. -Hersheypark (my 3rd home, lol). -Knoebels (x2) Once during the summer (July or August) and once during PPP. -Dorney Park (x2 or 3) I figure since it's not too far from Reading, it might be possible to go twice. I may do a Haunt trip depending on my schedule. -Six Flags Great Adventure (x1). Might do this trip in July, but if I do go on a Sunday, I WILL invest into a FlashPass this time. -BGW and KD trip. I am going to try my hardest to make this trip work. I still need to plan it out though and I hope to make this a two-day trip for sometime in June. -Dutch Wonderland (x1 at least). After stopping here last June, I pretty much got the credits and left. This year I think I'll make a Potato Patch run and try some Dole Whip, which I saw a sign for. If it's worth the extra distance, I'll probably do Kingdom coaster a few laps and eat. I really don't have a set-in-stone schedule, but these are my basic objectives for the season.
  9. The footers are all in! They also added the roof to the photo booth and Whack-A-Mole (which is red), added curbing to Comet Hollow, bricks to the photo booth, stair framework for the queue and exit, and some decorative bricks near the future queue. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/17/hersheypark-offseasonskyrush-construction-update-97-31612/ Done! Remember this from last May?
  10. Time for yet another update! Looper has recieved even more paint, the new path is starting to take shape, and Comet Hollow is starting to look different. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/15/hersheypark-offseason-and-skyrush-construction-update-96-3-14-12/
  11. My bad. It's color was acutally green and brown. Back to the updates! A lot has happened over the past week not just in the construction site, but around the park as well, so let’s get started! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/13/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-95-3-12-12/ Here are some of the keypoints of the update: -The photo booth is going up. -The queue and exit stairs are starting to go up. -Catwalks are being added to Comet's bridge and the lift motor area. -Only about 5 track pieces and one footer to go until the circuit is completed. Here's a panorama shot!
  12. This is the fourth new look that the Comet station is recieving. 1946-early 1970's (might be two other different looks): White with comet logos on the side of the roof. 1970's to late 1980's: Green station with the Comet sign. 1980's to 2011: Blue station with the Comet sign (just a paintchange) 2012: What looks to be white and green or red sqaures.
  13. I've been on spring break the past week and haven't been in Hershey since then to get an update. My updates will start back up again on Monday. Matt, a friend of mine from the Project 2012 group, was just over an hour ago and took these: Comet track gap: Closed. Speaking of Comet, check out the side of the roof! Stengel Dive turn gap: Closed. The final footer...
  14. This update will cover Friday and Saturday and also cover the prepwork to get ready for this season around the park! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/hersheypark-park-and-skyrush-construction-update-94-3-2-and-3-3-12/
  15. Update! This one is from Thursday. I'll have another one from yesterday and today posted tonight. The supports for the reduction brake are up and track is starting to be added to it. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-93-3-1-12/ Smile! Looks like Tilt-A-Whirl is starting to go back up.
  16. I think Intamin may have a great train design on their hands. I wonder if it could be possible for parks with other Intamin mega, mega-lite, or giga coasters to possibly kind of exchange their existing trains for a train model similar to this? By the way, is it me or do the lapbars look like there's a bar coming down on each side of the seat?
  17. New Update! The supports for the reduction brake are going up and more machinery has been added to the lift motor. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/02/27/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-92-2-27-12/
  18. ^ I like it! Here's a brand-new update! The lift motor has been added! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-91/
  19. Today was kind of a mixed bag of progress. The second to last set of footers were started, more of the creekwall was worked on, and much more station work was done. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-90-2-22-12/
  20. Posted two pages back... They went over to Shyguy's World after a heated situation a few weeks ago. I'm not going to elaborate on it because it's not my place to do so.
  21. RXCC has a single-riders line as did Fahrenheit in it's first year of operation. Here's a brand-new update with a few other photos I took today. http://keystonethrills.megabb.com/t369-hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-90#6036 Behold! The all-mighty and all-knowing Coaster Box!
  22. Here's a news story that I just came across: http://www.wfmz.com/news/Woman-claims-amusement-park-workers-assaulted-daughter/-/121458/8616580/-/5i7896z/-/index.html I don't seeing this holding any water.
  23. It goes down a slight hill behind the kiddie rides, makes a slight curve to the right near Scrambler while rising, then goes into the reduction brake. Moving on to the topic of Springtime in the Park, the ridelist has been updated.
