  1. ^Nope, it was done today. The guy said December 8th.
  2. A good portion of the supports are up. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-57-12-5-11/ Rapid transition! Once the track is in, this is going to look like a cool photo. Looks like part of the support structure for the lift. Since work is going on at a rapid pace lately, I plan on doing 2 to 3 updates a week.
  3. Brand-new Update! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/12/01/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-55-11-30-11/
  4. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/30/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-54-11-24-11/ I'm kind of behind on posting updates. I should have another update that I've done from Monday posted later on. The site flooded again. ...and Skyrush decided to go for a swim.
  5. So it sounds like that it won't matter which one gets chosen, there will be a theme park in the plans. Sounds cool and I have a SLIGHT more confidence that it might happen with Danny out of the works. Speaking of Danny, I wonder what he's doing these days?
  6. Here are even more photos taken from inside and outside the park. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/19/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-53-11-18-to-11-19-11/
  7. Day 3 of vertical construction and track has already been added: Better photos coming tomorrow!
  8. If you watched this video, it's no rumor: Already into Day 2 of vertical construction and the coaster has now reached an approximate height of 40 feet: Photo by Hersheypark. Heading over to the park later on.
  9. What? Nobody posted the good news yet??? Here! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/17/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-52-11-17-11-first-set-of-vertical-supports/ The supports for the base of the first drop are in! Twisty!
  10. Yep. Here's a new update showing the crane in the air. According to one of the park's Twitter pages, vertical construction MIGHT start this week! http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/13/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-51-11-9-to-11-11-11/
  11. Taken by Harry over at the Project 2012 facebook page. I have a photo update coming up from yesterday and I plan on snapping a photo of this later on today. It's estimated to be around 250ft.
  12. I ment Immelmann. It was either one of the two. lol
  13. ^Behind Storm Runner's Cobra Roll. As for the lapbars, I would expect them to look similar to the ones on Shoot-The-Rapids or Pilgrim's Plunge. If so, then this might end up being epic!
  14. Fixed! Don't forget about Sidewinder.
  15. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/05/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-50-first-vertical-construction-11-4-11/ Onward and Upward! Crane is here!
  16. Having never ridden either of them, but could this be a case similar to SFGadv? They used to have 2 log flumes (the existing one and the Moon Flume), but the moon flume was taken out for Wiggle's World (I think). Why would the park need two rides of the same exact type? I would just be happy that they're not taking out Jet Stream as well. That's how I would look at it.
  17. A friend of mine who has some pretty good sources posted this on the Project 2012 group earlier today: .Sure enough, I went over to the construction site and found this: Time to take to the skies... I'll post a larger update tomorrow!
  18. It kind of depends on when you arrive for the car show. The park was closed that weekend since it took up the whole parking lot (plus, it's in between the summer and Halloween season). You may have a chance if you would arrive the weekend before the car show. Expect another Skyrush update sometime tomorrow night! I did see a crane over with the track on Monday, so there is a chance more track has arrived.
  19. This I have to mostly agree with. I think the only way this could be similar to I-305 is the way the lift hill looks and even that is going to be different since it won't be built in one piece. By the way, after looking at Formula Russa, it turns out that those single spine pieces are nothing new: Photo by dubaidave
  20. It think it IS! It does look like it is 90 degrees if not more. You can see in the bottom of the 2nd animation it does look like it could be close to being over-banked. I've always wondered why the track looked narrow on this turn, but if it was to be over-banked, i think it would look like this so it does look to be a stengel dive!
  21. And on the news of Skyrush, more concept art from HersheyparkPR on Twitter. In addition, here's another construction update from Keystone Thrills: http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/11/01/hersheypark-skyrush-construction-update-49-10-31-11/
  22. The US has cleared ZooAmerica saying that they took appropriate action: http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/11/us_clears_zooamerica_in_bison.html The Boycott ZooAmerica Facebook page is now saying that Hershey paid them off..... wow.
  23. That's a Chance Huss ride, not a KMG. Good photos of Meteor though.
  24. A big construction update has been posted to Keystone Thrills: http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/10/20/hersheypark-skyrush-update-47-10-16-10-20-11/ This week's track theme is the top of the lift. So many footers have been done. The 2nd lift hill footer is ready for concrete. But what's this for??? Here's an approximate map on what footers are done, being worked on, and are being dug.
