3, 9,10, and 12 have been claimed by Keystone Thrills members and #4 is from the facebook page. So you're 11 and not 1? ok, then that means 3,4,5,8,9,10,11,12 have been claimed. Which means 1,2,6,7 haven't been found yet. Plus add in the fact that pretty much here and Keystone Thrills are mostly the only sites constantly covering this, it makes my think that the final passes could pretty much go to either place. Kind of annoys me that these are the only two places talking about it. EDIT: 7 has been found, which means 1, 2, and 6 are the only ones left. -

Fourth Study Posted: http://www.rideinstitute.com/pdf/researchStudy051611.pdf Looks like we still need to find Mr. Coupone and figure out what those 16 boxes are for. Also here's a construction update from this weekend: http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/attraction-2012-construction-update-23-51511/ -

Found a teaser vid that the park has released. No annoying music like Dondopa so far... I so far see either 5/25 or 7/16 as being the opening date. So for those going on the Japan trip may either be able to ride it or just miss the opening date by a week or two. -

They didn't really leak anything to us except for surveying us about our favorite drop rides and how water should play into a new attraction. But the 212 and 196 numbers do sound right to be the total height and drop size. Given that this coaster is to be built on a flood plain, the extra 16 feet will give enough space so that if the creek does flood, it won't damage the ride. -

I'm thinking the R is actually an N. Somehow, I'm thinking these words will lead us to maybe something similar found in the first study maybe using the search bar again. Could there be a dash in between the two words? -

After riding the Comet today and thinking back to the layout and where the layout could go, I am now 95% certain that the layout pictured above is the actual Attraction 2012 layout. After seeing a stake next to that shack, which would refer to the tight turn that would go over Comet, the section where they're digging, and the stakes near Comet's exit ramp and storage track. What I did above is draw lines for all footers to suggest possible supports. This could help with figuring out where possible hills will be, their possible height, possible banked angle, and what could occur at certain sections of the ride. -

I think this viral marketing attempt sounds somewhat like what Hersheypark's Ride Istitute is to coaster enthusiasts where this one is to the general public. The hobo and signs all over the park add a nice touch. -
I never even heard of this place until last Thursday and it sounded pretty cool. Now that they've finally revealed what they plan on doing, I'm very interested in seeing this place once (and if) its completed. EDIT: Found some interior photos of what the inside of the building right now: http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/article/Xanadu-mall-project-to-get-new-name-big-expansion-1362941.php The ski-lifts are already installed. Sorry about the doublepost, but someone over at my site found something interesting and I can back him up on it. You know that number chart that everyone is scratching their heads about? See that empty area above the Gravity Manipulation textbox on the first page? Highlight it, copy and paste it to a word document and you'll get this: Translate it through the code key given and you get this: Looks like we have a new character. I'm really liking how they are using some pretty unique decoding skills that haven't been used before. This one almost got by us. -

I haven't payed much attention to the game today, but I did go for a walk and get some more photos for a new Attraction 2012 Update. http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/2011/05/02/hersheypark-attraction-2012-update-21-by-ccron10/ It looks like rebar is arriving and the hillside is being dug away. -

Now thinking about it, I think I may have jumped the gun on crediting you. The biggest problem at this point with the game is assuming which is fact and which is pure coincidence. Some of the things you pointed out such as the phone number is part of that. What you're failing to see is that the coaster WILL be 212ft tall because when the park went to Township, they specifically said this. Also if you look at the permit posted above, it mentions a lift motor building to be built inside Spring Creek. This doesn't mean that it won't feature some type of propulsion system, but the structure on where the lift would be built is so similar to I-305's making it not possible to launch vertically. -

Jan Van Der Velde has his own facebook page according to the Project 2012 group. I was wondering when one of the characters was going to make their own account. This marketing game is starting to get very detailed-oriented. -

I second that. I checked your facts and you've made some good discoveries that seem to make sense. About the mention of a vertical launch. I'm not positive, but I remember seeing somewhere something about a vertical launch or inclined launch mention for a new coaster at a park. But then again, in aencroachment recently found last week, it states this: Could it mean a building to house the computers that power the launch instead? Or could the vertical launching concept be a trick clue? -

Mentioned in the letter are two words that stick out to me: Nevado Mismi- A volcano in Peru where the Amazon River begins. Could there be a tie between the Amazon, Halley's Comet, ursla major, and the strange creature that they mention hearing while in the rainforest? Terra incognita- a Latin term meaning "unknown land" and the plotting of it. According to Wikipedia, it mentions of an urban legend where cartographers would label these areas to possibly contain mythical creatures (given how a dragon could be involved). The phrase is now also used metaphorically by various researchers to describe any unexplored subject or field of research. The second paragraph talks about some fly creature flying over the forest quieting the wildlife. I have to laugh at this (no offense) because some people are thinking now that "oh, they mention something flying! Must mean a flying coaster!" Wrong. Just because something is saying that it's flying doesn't mean that it will be a flying coaster. Remember that we can use the term for any coaster. Ex: "See Great Bear flying over the midway!" When it isn't a flying coaster. Right now I'm picturing that the coaster will somehow involve LSMs for a lift hill. This could make sense given how fast Maverick's lift hill is. If so, then we could be looking at a 75 to 80 mph coaster. Given all this talk about megnetic fields, propulsion, and white dwarf particles. I do have one question however. On the sideview graph posted to the bottom of the study, what does GWT stand for? -

LSM lift hill similar to Maverick, but on a grander scale? Either way, it sounds like it may involve LSMs. I find the letter to be interesting. -

Not all of the Vekoma boomerangs can be considered terrible (even without the new trains). The reason why can be because of the climate, the maintenance and other factors. I know I used to be able to survive two rides in a row on that thing, but it got worse over time. Simply put, just because it was the worse ride at Hershey doesn't mean it would be the worst ride at Knott's or some other park if it was moved there. -

I ate there on Friday and I will never eat at that place again. For $16 I got a Pit Beef Sandwich (which was cold), 2 sides which were Mac & Cheese and Texas Taters for me (The mac and Cheese hardly tasted like just pasta, but the fries were good) and a medium drink (but even though I got my souvenir cup refilled, I think they charged me full price). They offered to give me an extra side for no additional cost because they said that they were closing, but I declined. The stand was a complete rip-off and I should've ate at Gourmet Grille and be able to get a Chicken Quesadilla, a big thing of pasta salad, and re-fill for $11 and it would be warm.
