  1. I definitely have to say BORG Assimilator (WHEN ITS RUNNING WELL)and by extension, all three Flying Dutchmen. I like the "laying down" position and find it to be much more comfortable and intense than Superman. Haven't ridden Tatsu.
  2. I'm pretty sure my first coaster was Python @ BGA, I was 8 or so, and I'm 26.
  3. My dream park would be set on a large expanse of beachfront property on the Atlantic. The rides would be as follows: COASTERS: S&S Arrow 4D - custom layout with some of it directly over the ocean B&M inverted - Top Gun PCar layout, heavily themed The first ever B&M giga coaster - exactly 300ft tall, airtime heavy layout ala Goliath SFOG Vekoma Tilt Coaster Intamin rocket, midsized with inversions Intamin mid-sized prefab woodie - nothing insane like El Toro, this would be the family coaster Vekoma Roller Skater - the kiddie coaster a classic Schwarzkopf looper, and NOT Zonga FLATS: Intamin floorless gyro drop, 350 ft. Chance Chaos Mondial Top Scan S&S Screamin' Swing Bumper cars a classic merry-go-round a whacked out Sally dark ride flying scooters Intamin Looping Starship - an Enterprise a Roundup a Zipper a Tilt a whirl a Breakdance a wave swinger ^ all these would be in the carnival themed area, with the woodie - go kart track mini golf World's Tallest Skycoaster - 50 ft taller than the one at Old Town WATER RIDES Setpoint Roller Soaker near vertical speed slides huge wave pool Proslide Tornado x 2 a water play area ETC 4D theater huge arcade stocked with the best new and classic games batting cages bumper boats FOOD Chinese Japanese - imagine, PARK SUSHI~! smell the salmonella Mexican Italian Thai - with vegetarian dishes and meat BBQ - with ribs and all and your typical pizza, fries, burgers, etc
  4. Either that or Python at BGA is mine, although that was when the Corkscrew was at Magic Harbour in Myrtle Beach.
  5. Volcano The Blast Coaster. K since that's right: non-clone vekoma over water in the Southern US
  6. This is like asking me to choose between my children. My two home parks are Carowinds and SFOG. Carowinds has arguably the best inverted (Top Gun The Jet Coaster) , and SFOG has undeniably the best hyper. They're both extremely high up my rankings. So I flipped a coin.... hyper. Inverts are definitely second, then flying, then seated and at the bottom, stand up. Although I quite like the GA Scorcher. Haven't ridden a dive machine or floorless.
  7. Hey! I already have a 2008 too! I kinda wanna be at Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach SC on Day One, although I'm sure the crowds will be sick.
  8. SFOG and Carowinds for absolute certain at least once each, probably CP/KI in May, Florida maybe over the winter of 06/early 07. I kinda wanna hit SFMM but I haven't thought up a good reason to be in LA other than the park so I dunno.
  9. I'm not hating, but we were both right.
  10. i got six laps in two trips, but - without q-bot - never waited longer than 20 mins, excluding a night ride where I waited for - and was denied - a front ride but settled for a very back ride and sick air. I waited probably 40 minutes. Tremendous coaster, and as it was the first ride of the year, up front no less, it was a heck of a dive into the deep end. The key to SFOG is going on Monday.
  11. Definitely Beemer speedcoaster seats are the best. The worst? Old Arrow loopers. If you're 6'3 and long in the torso, as I am, they sorta scrunch you down at a funky angle. Not cool.
  12. I'm roughly halfway between Charlotte (2 hrs) and Atlanta (2.5-3hrs) so I have two home parks. CAROWINDS Coaster: TOP GUN The Jet Coaster which is also my favorite inverted. Flat: HAHAHAHA at Carowinds? Flying Scooters by default SFOG Coaster: Goliath South aka Good Goliath Flat: Acrophobia
  13. What's funny is that under the previous SF management, Cedar Fair repeatedly tried to buy Magic Mountain and were rebuffed; they wanted to sell the chain whole. Now that CF took over Paramount, and put themselves in huge debt in the process, it seems much less likely. Busch on the other hand is a possibility.
  14. SFOG in general has a funky layout; you have the Batman/Mindbender deadend AND the Superman/Ninja/GASM dead end.
  15. Throw in Gold FlashPass for the year - dunno if SFMM even has Qbot but that's neither here nor there - and I'd do it. Hell, for that I'd do 13 hrs of SFOG Ninja. Never ridden Colossus but it can't be any worse than that.
  16. Many times. Usually the BORG at CAR. If I see it cycling empty trains, I haul tail towards it. Also, once this summer I did it twice in one day at SFOG. SUF and Deja, first train after breakdowns. On Deja it was after a typical 2.5 hr, two-to-three breakdown wait (which I personally was against, as I have the credit, but the people with me - aside from my girl - didnt).
  17. I've ridden White Lightnin' and Viper (SFOG), and being that I once worked at the Pavillion, all of those, but I have a credit I've always thought was cool: I've ridden the Pavillion's Corkscrew when it was at Magic Harbour AND at the Pavillion. And I will eventually be visiting Colombia - as my girlfriend is Colombian-American 1st generaion - and I'll perhaps be the only person ON EARTH to ride it in all three locations.
  18. Out of parks I've been to (and as such, rides I've ridden), my favorite coaster is Top Gun The Jet Coaster at Carowinds. So I'd pick that. MIST TUNNEL! Out of parks I haven't been to, either Pyrenees at Parque Espana or Katun at Mirabilandia. I frickin' love B&M inverts.
  19. It was one of my very first credits - I can't say for sure, but it was either the Magic Harbour/Pavillion Corkscrew, a traveling Galaxi, or Python - and even then I thought it was weak. Good riddance! Scorpion totally pwnz it.
  20. It really strongly brings to mind a new evolution of a mine train coaster. I think it's pimp and will also shorten the lines at Dragster and MF. So two thumbs up.
  21. Cedar Point's - Demon Drop - is on there somewhere too. Better snag a ride while ya can if you enjoy them. Hope SFOG doesn't take theirs out, I dig them.
  22. Top Gun The Jet Coaster at PCar yesterday. Prossibly the last coaster of the summer, and a good one to go out on.
