  1. If only we could say the same thing about women and penis enlargements.
  2. The exchange rate flopped. Now it is 27 to 1.
  3. I hear that's going out for the Dragon Wagon that they just picked up from a park in South Africa.
  4. I totally agree with Larry. If KK or ET aren't open (since I'm sure those are the one's that you are very interested in) then get over to the other side of the park to hit up Nitro. The crowds are minimal for about an hour back there, so then you can get on Batman. I would say that if El Toro isn't open by 11 then there is a problem. If Kingda Ka isn't open by 12 or if you see absolutely no activity near it, chances are it will be down all day.
  5. We all know that the President of Ohio doesn't lie. Now the Vice President, that is a different story. ^ And it wasn't photoshop. Jeff already said that it was from construction, which would make sense considering the cranes.
  6. Cedar Fair and theming just don't sound right together.
  7. ^^ The Alvey's paid to do it. YOU'RE BANNED. Yup, that's about right.
  8. I've heard of that. I'm sure it sucks. Swimming is definately a great thing to do. I'm going to try to hit the pool and stuff as much as I can here, but the hours are just screwy. Plus I've been in the gym working on my b-ball game since practice starts in October. No pain, thank you very much. I know I'm jinxing myself.
  9. That might be one of the smartest posts I have ever seen on this site.
  10. Joe - Thanks for the call, jerk.
  11. The really sad thing is that I used to work on my back all the time. It was really strong at one point, I think I just tweaked something along the way and never got it looked at. I went for a 2 hour run today and I have to say that the pain in my back actually lessened and now I'm sitting here without pain for the first time in a very very long time. However, there is still pain in the leg and groin area, so that sucks.
  12. ^ I completely agree. (Once again, no insult intended). Community colleges are nothing to be ashamed of. They give that little extra prep that high school may not have provided or what wasn't taken advantage of at the high school level. Also, I would like to suggest getting to the guidance office. And yeah, specifics would be a lot better too.
  13. I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I thought that someone had said that the entire structure was brown at one point. I too just meant the entire track, not the entire ride. I was lucky when I went to SFA I guess. Of course, it was pouring out, but I was able to get on rides without a hassle at all, even though they were being run at minimal capacity.
  14. You can't mess with One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. That is just plain poetry for the 4 year old brain.
  15. I'm on the golf team here at Arcadia. I was also the captain of my high school golf team years ago. I made it to Districts twice, but failed to make it to States unfortunately. I'm hoping to make it to D3 Nationals this year. I set pretty lofty goals for some reason. I am also going to try out for the basketball team - back pain permitting. I just got done watching Annapolis, so I'm pretty motivated to get into better shape and hit the gym hardcore.
  16. Jeff - I'm pretty sure it wasn't due to the accident. I have a friend that I could ask about it that will know. I'm pretty sure they closed it due to it's poor upkeep. I'm not really sure what they are going to do with it. It seems odd that they are just letting it sit there. However, with the way that the management rumors are going up and down and side to side, maybe they don't want to make any big decisions until they know what is going to happen with the park itself. Who knows. And I have never seen anything where Jackrabbit was brown. As of my last visit last year it was completely white. EDIT - Not completely white - the paint is chipping off like a mother, but you get what I mean.
  17. I like the space shot a whole lot better just because I think they provide a better ride than the drops and I love the pop of air at the top of the tower.
  18. That is definately the best idea. Don't mess around with it. Find out what the problem is and get it fixed as soon as you can. Hope it all works out for you.
  19. Great report. I absolutely love J2. It is a great coaster, IMO. I am happy to say that I am now just about 25 minutes from it and plan on heading back there before the end of the season as long as my back lets me.
  20. I've had problems with my lower back since my senior year of high school. I was the captain of the Delaware Valley golf team and to get to that point, I had played 27-45 holes a day, 5 days a week (work permitting, but working at the golf course helped) for about 6 years. The pain was a tightness in my lower back and it bothered me, but not to the point that I wasn't able to function. I would go into the trainer at school and get a rubdown and then head off to the course to try to defeat the competition. The pain was a progressive thing and kept getting worse little by little until a couple of weeks ago, when the pain got more and more severe, and got to the point that I couldn't walk well at all. The thing that completely aggrevated it was when I lifted a 75 pound table at my father's bowling alley. It wasn't the thing that caused the problem, just the thing that put it over the edge. I went to the chiropractor two days later and found out that my pelvis is disaligned, with the right side being higher than the left, which is placing a great amount of pressure on my sciatic nerve, which is now basically twisted up like a pretzel. Since, I have gotten 3 adjustments, and I have to say that I feel pretty good right now sitting at my desk at my apartment at school. Thank God. Although I do feel a little bit of discomfort here and there walking around campus or sitting for an extended period of time, I feel tons better than what I did. Some things that I have learned from this experience: 1. I am addicted to the chiropractor. 2. Not being able to function sucks. 3. Too much of two very good things (golf and rough wooden coasters) can be a bad thing. And the moral of my story... if you have lower back pain or pain anywhere else, don't be a stubborn ass like me and get it checked out right away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sciatic_nerve
  21. Is it really a shock that a place that has a baseball team named the Brewers is the city that drinks the most?
  22. First comment - Newark sucks overall. In this case, it is probably the best option though. It is the absolute worst airport I have ever been to. Second comment - So they aren't going to rip down Freefall? Damn! Now I'm completely confused.
  23. A friend and I had noticed those chili peppers while waiting in line on July 4th. I thought that was a great little addition to the theme.
  24. Geeze. Don't tell me that parks are going to get like department stores now.
  25. I wouldn't call it high maintenance. I blame most of it on the pressures of society (speaking about the United States). There has been a ton of pressure on women, as well as men, to look and be perfect. That is a lot of insecurity in the lives of most of us these days, something that had not been seen in the past. As a result came plastic surgery and more and more people go under the knife thinking that their self esteem and social problems will go away. It is truly a sad thing. I actually did a speech for my speech and communication class 3 years ago at the one college that I once went to. There are so many "new and improved" techniques and gobbledygook out there it is just crazy. There are just as many complications out there than there were when silicon was the prominant means of breast implants. Some have now gone the way of saline as a marketing gimmick and saying that it is safer, but it truly isn't based on the research that I did. There are different ways to put the implants in and all kind of nonsense, but I believe that it is just a bunch of smoke that is mirroring the truth.
