  1. I wish the rumors of an Australian Disneyland would come true. Heck, a Six Flags would do just fine. But, for the love of God, don't let it just be Movie World and Dreamworld for the amount of time left before I emigrate to the US. Give us a park brimming with world-class rollercoasters/rides in general. At least give us a woodie, Thrill Gods!
  2. Before the Midwest Trip, I dreamed that I arrived home from it, went to visit one of the local parks and found Six Flags had opened up in my absence...
  3. Here lies Tony In life he was thin But now he's just boney
  4. Probably yes with regards to Mum. Not sure about Dad... Have you read The Time Traveler's Wife? [if not, do; it's great!]
  5. I went to Disneyland first ... around 1992. Then WDW in February 2005 and then a week after leaving Orlando, I did DL again (I know! A long time between visits) and then DCA for the first time. This year DL/DCA in the final week of July. DCA was pretty good second time around but not as good as my maiden visit. Can't wait to go to Orlando again.
  6. Okay. I'm now also down for both Tokyo & China. Paid by Paypal eCheque and clearance day is apparently the 17th. Please confirm when it has cleared... thanks. Woo, Asian s here I come!
  7. Sorry to hear you're having a rough time so soon. I feel bad you having to do this, Tomi, and my thoughts are with you... If you work a way of escaping from Israel -- on a container ship or something -- come hide in Australia ... you can then have hot animal sex with as many koalas and kangaroos as you want. That's got to be better than the sperm retention anxiety surely Or go to New Zealand and "do it" with the sheep. Whatever you prefer.
  8. Looks incredible. I really like that House of Horrors when I visited at the end of July. It's a shame the Terror Tram wasn't as good but I'm sure yours won't be the only negative feedback they'll receive so can see them changing it back.
  9. Hahaha, Kennywood? Brilliant stuff. It was cool to visit Magic Mountain being a fan of National Lampoon's Vacation. So... to be in the reverse situation of having been to the park on the Midwest Trip when seeing the movie will rock.
  10. I can't wait to go to Toverland next year though as that layout's so much better. But despite being more excited about the Surfrider (our new half-pipe coaster at Wet'n'Wild) than this, the Motocoaster should still be a bit of fun.
  11. I loved that toboggan ride so much. Would have loved to get a couple more goes on it. I agree that our sneak preview of Meteor was also excellent and I managed to get both POV and off-ride of Elissa's parents on the thing.
  12. Yeah. Looks like it's good for a few credits but won't be placing the park high on my 'to do' list for US '08. Glad you had good lines though.
  13. Grr. I was only there a few days before with some people doing a bonus day after the Midwest Trip. If I'd known about Weird Al, I would have stayed in the area for it. And he actually does Albuquerque in concert? He came to where I live for his Running With Scissors album tour and when he took song requests, someone mentioned that one and he just said that one was too long to perform. He does give a very value-packed show and I don't think he does too many video presentations. How else would he cover the costume changes really? I've only just woken up so might not have read your post fully but did you take photos/video or not? Even just on a mobile phone? Would love to see.
  14. Good to hear you did everything you wanted. What did you think of the roller skater? Did you do the carousel? Marvin's quite a good show, we had it here in Oz at Movie World before they replaced it with Shrek 4D [which I was very happy about]. It's not surprising to hear about Deja Vu. I think the real name they're called that is because when you see them closed, you get slammed with that feeling. While I don't entirely agree about Superman -- it's still fun after the pretzel loop -- I would rather do Tatsu any day being that you can actually look straight ahead of you instead of down with everything passing in a blur. Thanks for sharing the photos and hope you're well.
  15. First victory was a bunch of us doing an 'Aussie Aussie Aussie... Oi Oi Oi' during the lifthill of quite a few coasters on the Midwest Trip. While we didn't have an 'It's All About Austraila' Day, that was just as awesome.
  16. The combination of coasters and Japanese culture looks fantastic. Definitely will look into the '08 mini-Japan trip. Thanks for the updates.
  17. Try Econo Lodge North. It's only a mile from Knott's, inexpensive and comfortable. Fellow TPR member Evan [whatnow] and I stayed there in July and quite liked it. The room had two very comfortable double beds & a heap of local places to eat too. http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=CA608
  18. Echoing the Mountain. I was there mid-week in July with a friend from the forum & we were really lucky with the crowds. X was the only super-huge one and that was at the end of the night. We used a few Flash Passes but could have got by without them really since the opening hours in summer are decent. Get a few rides in on Tatsu for me.
  19. Great mini-update about PKI/Strickers. I'd forgotten about that crazy group shot in the picnic area I'm in, hahaha! One of my final credits ... It's pretty amazing of you to finish the thread off while you're in Japan. Cheers. Thanks again for an amazing trip, looking forward to '08.
  20. Robb, great pics of Cedar Point. Have the footage of 'Hotel Horror' from arrival night, my HiDef camera is a bit of a pain when it comes to converting but I'm going to kick off my trip thread with some photos first of all then add the video later. I'll then send DV/HD stuff/rest of photos over to you so that will no doubt arrive while you're away. If there's a different address you'd like me to use let me know via PM.
  21. I do miss the place. It was one of my favourite parks from the Midwest Trip... certainly one of the most unique out of what I've visited. What they say about it being an American Blackpool seems really on the money. The amount of fish near the Galaxi was insane. They seemed kind of vicious. Maybe they're how Security disposes of rulebreakers!
  22. Republika - Ready To Go. Fortunately I like that song and still do. But that 20 second clip did get really annoying that day, hey?
  23. Nup, it's not over... we're still on it. We all can't wait for Cedar Point...to most that's a major part why they came on the trip. Maverick should be amazing, I just hope it's up to the hype. - Tony "Denial Transport" Teulan
  24. Nice pics, thanks for posting them. And the on-ride photos are classic. *insert custom It's Nice Not To See The Same 10 People line here *
  25. Nice summary of the trip with your photos. I definitely agree that the number of coasters made the average ones blend together ... still wouldn't have lowered the count though
