CoasterDynamix Nano Coasters
ECZenith replied to DLDude's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I am going to Carowinds in June do you think the Fury models will be on sale by then? Will there be any models for the coasters at Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion in VA? Griffon and I305 would be sweet! Any other teasers you can show us ? Can't wait to fill my shelf with these little guys ! -
Hi Scott, I hope you can expect a gold crown as those are the fanciest crowns of them all. As far as crowds go, I usually go to this park in May and have had good luck with the crowds. The only ride that had more than a 15 minute wait on a warmer weekend in May were Pompeii, Roman Rapids, Le Scoot, and Curse of Darkastle. This park is a LOT of walking so going before the summer heat arrives is wise. I would have to reccomend to you as a coaster fan, the roller coaster insider's tour, which allows you to climb Griffon's lift, it was an amazing experience! Check it out on the park's website. Besides getting on all the coasters early, you are also given tours of the coaster's mainenance bays and they let you hold gigantic Griffon running wheels! Definitely worth the money and the tour guides were friendly. I am going this year on the second week of June on a weekday. It will be my first time riding Verbolten and Tempesto so I am pretty excited. Of course Griffon is in my Top 5 and Darkastle is one of my favorite dark rides, I cannot wait for this trip.

That Sheikra model looks amazing! Looks like I'll need to pick up some blue paint next time I'm at the hobby store! Just finished my Racer's paint, very pleased with how it came out. These nano coasters are great. -
3/7/2015 Paranormal activity has been reported in the heavily wooded south east hills of Adrenaland. Rumor has it the grim reaper himself has chosen this place to beckon thrill seekers to the edge of the underworld! Standing high above our all new Feargrounds themed area, Reaper:Ride for your Life! stands 210 feet tall, features three inversions and two 89 degree drops sure to leave you breathless! (Bolliger and Mabillard dive machine coaster) Also new in The Feargrounds is The Wraith. The Wraith is our final installation by our preferred coaster designers in Monthey, Switzerland. This terrain style coaster provides a sensation of a vengeful ghost's flight through the ruins of a castle. (Bolliger and Mabillard flying coaster) Lots of new flat rides and haunted houses have been added to this area, as the park's founder is quite the year round fan of Halloween and haunted houses. We are currently tinkering with our newest land project: Electri City, featuring LiveWire, an Intamin LSM powered launch coaster featuring a Maverick-style first drop and an inverted top hat. This one isn't for grandma... stay tuned and thanks for checking construction progress on Adrenaland Resort! Themed land count and major ride summary: 7 Evergreen Falls: Our mountaintop destination for thrills (Abenaki, EverScream, Shafted!, Gold Fever, log ride) The Feargrounds: Reaper: RFYL, The Wraith, The Pendulum Grand Midway: Vulcan The Boardwalk: Riptide, Temple of Poseidon, Atlantic Star Cavalier Cove Water Park: More coming soon! Forgotten Valley: Venom, Rain Dance, DinoTours more in development! Electri City: LiveWire, Cataclysm, Vertigo, Invader, and many more developments coming soon! A view from Warwick Harbor of an employee preview program. Atlantic Star is showing off those new LED's! Riptide is still busting that boardwalk! You'd swear you are heading into the harbor! Our new B&M Dive Machine testing this morning. Reaper: Ride for your Life! I suggest riding when the sun goes down, beware the shadowy fingers of Death himself as you twist through a jojo roll, unique to any dive coaster! Also in the Fearground, The Wraith! Not quite as tall or long as Reaper, The Wraith offers a unique flying experience past and through a decrepit castle. To give you an idea of the three large attractions in this area... We decided on electric purple for LiveWire, the appropriately named electromagnetic Intamin beast is still in the experimental phase...

Berry Farm, I love the photos thanks for sharing! I especially enjoyed your before and afters. The green side of TC... oh my... I didn't even know you could do that on a roller coaster until today. RMC certainly has some state of the art maneuvering in their track layouts in both this and Wicked Cyclone. Scream! looks gorgeous in its new paint, never did care that it was built over asphalt as many fuss about but I did not like the old support colors and yellow rails, looks outstanding now! I feel 2015 is a big year of progress for SFMM, good to see them improving (and completely overhauling!) existing rides and structures.

I agree with B&M boy 100% (awesome Banshee model by the way! Can't wait to see your thread), I have always been pleased with CD products, and made both working dive machine and wing rider coasters using the flexible sections from the inverted model, and the Phoenix parts for lift, turnaround and the long sections for station and brake runs. The lego conversion kit is a lot of fun too! (For those of us who have thousands of old lego pieces in their basements from their childhood like me ) My nano coaster arrived today, I put it together I'm about half an hour. Very easy, I reccomend pliers for precise bends. Luckily it is easy to take apart as I will be painting it soon. Jack, thanks for an awesome affordable product that looks sharp and is easy to assemble. Very much looking forward to Fury 325 and hopefully more B&M nanos! -
^ Thanks 305! Here are some shots of Vulcan, still needs theming and surrounding landscape and details but just to show the layout... Vulcan, of course, is the god of Steel and Fire in Roman and Greek mythology. Station area and turnaround to lift... Vulcan is the first ride guests see as they enter the park. The main entrance plaza will actually be one of the last items built. Vulcan heading to the sky Vulcan 225! Actually just Vulcan The turnaround plummets riders alongside Temple of Poseidon The second turnaround is located near the entrance to Riptide Reef, I already fixed that messed up support... well... B&M did. The drop off the MCBR is loaded with negative g's Carousel turn heading back to the station As you can see, Vulcan still needs a station house and queue building... gladiator theming won't hurt either! Next update will show off the finished Vulcan, Cavalier Cove, and a themed Reaper. Don't forget, The Wraith is coming...

Below are the screenshots for March 1, 2015 update to Adrenaland Resort. Coming soon: Intamin goodness! The last two B&M installments for Adrenaland. Completion of our waterslide park. Adrenaland Marine Life Aquarium, located in Riptide Reef themed area Davey Jone's dark ride and the beginnings of Cavalier Cove water park Not a new addition to the park, but also on the boardwalk is Temple of Poseidon The White Line steamship and jet boats will take you on a relaxing trip to either point of the boardwalk An overview of Evergreen Falls New flat rides and a mine coaster were added Gold Fever seems to be quite popular with our guests! The Mt. Abenaki Observation Platform is reached via cable sky ride, or the secret tunnel... A great place to see the entire park, a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean, and the dueling drops of Abenaki and Everscream! Timberline Falls features two reversing platforms and a terrain drop. This log ride is inspired by Le Scoot Busch Gardens Europe A view of the new log flume Also new is Tomahawk, our GCI wooden twister! For all you helix fans, Tomahawk offers twisty goodness! Our multiple contracts with B&M have brought the world's first LSM launch powered floorless coaster to Adrenaland! Say hello to Venom. Can you believe we are adding two MORE B&Ms? Vulcan (speed) and The Wraith (Flying) will be shown off in the next update! Through the misty jungle... Reaper (B&M Dive Machine) awaits details and theming... Reaper will soon have another B&M neighbor, The Wraith! Stay tuned for more! Thanks for reading.

Carowinds Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Everytime I have been to Carowinds I have been lucky and only waited 10 minutes tops for Intimidator. I am hoping Fury 325's line moves as fast as Leviathan, gotta love B&M's people-eating capacity. Nighthawk however... I always wait along time for. I think I am going to risk not getting a FastLane as it will not break my heart to miss Nighthawk in 2015. The only CF park I buy FastLane at is Cedar Point due to Maverick's dreaded line. I think the neon looks great, I'm hoping to see this baby testing in the coming days. -
2/22/2015 Update Adrenaland Resort Progress Report -Aquarium added to Riptide Reef themed area -Black Widow Huss Giant Frisbee installed -Reaper (B&M Dive Machine beginning theming) -Venom (B&M Launched Floorless) complete -Rainmaker (Huss Jump 2) installed -Cavalier Cove water park begins construction -Davey Jones' Locker (classic boardwalk dark ride completed) Coming in the next updates... Cavalier Cove's water slides and attractions will begin to take shape. "The Feargrounds" themed area will see more attractions added including our third dark ride to compliment Reaper and Black Widow, including one of our two remaining B&M coasters to be constructed: "The Wraith". The Wraith will feature flying style trains, interact with Reaper, and have many near-miss moments! A dinosaur themed thrill ride will be installed between Venom and the railroad, more on this later... The final B&M project for Adrenaland will be a gigacoaster, and more details will be available soon. Once the B&M's are done, you will begin to see some projects from Intamin come to life at Adrenaland. Many more flat rides, dark rides, and unique coasters are on the way! Check out the screenshots below, keeping in mind these areas are all a work in progress. Thanks for reading folks!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am intrigued to hear this new rumor regarding a Dive Coaster that may round out an already amazing lineup of coasters. The price tag seems a little small to match the lofty details (rumors at this point...) being described so far. With that being said, I believe with three B&M projects in three years, and the fact that one of their newest concepts graces their new front gate, perhaps a heavy discount is being applied? I have been avidly watching Oblivion 2.0 and Baron rising in Europe and was very happy to see not only that divers are making a comeback in the Western Hemisphere, but also that a zero g roll has appeared on Oblivion: Black Hole. Griffon is one of my all time favorites, but I always wondered if other elements were possible with the wider trains. With Gatekeeper, Banshee, Leviathan, Behemoth, Rougarou, and Fury 325 being a big part of Cedar Fairs recent and potential success, I am pleased to see my favorite coaster manufacturer hand in hand with my favorite amusement park (and chain for that matter) I hope this project is real as I can't think of a more appropriate addition to Cedar Point. Keep it up Cedar Fair! We love ya! -
Hello all, I have scoured this thread for what I am looking for but so far no luck. I am looking for the X2 audio (soundtrack) beginning with The Door's "Lizard King" "is everybody in? Is everybody in? the Ceremony is about to begin..." I loved this part of the audio , it played before dispatch and I thought it was a great fit. Can anyone help?

I wish it were next Monday and not this one, I have a meeting I have to go to Monday morning. I live an hour and a half from the park , if for some reason it can be next Monday I would love to go and take some photos. I do only have an iphone camera but I usually get good shots with it. Skyplex Orlando Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
King, thank you for piecing together the POV, makes more sense to me now. I am extremely excited to get more details on Skyscraper. I typically stay in hotels on I-Drive so this will be great, hopefully there will be an unlimited ride option as this doesn't appear something I want to ride only once and then walk away. The reverse banked turns and bunny hills are really neat looking, and seem to becoming a new trend for 2015. (Wicked Cyclone sports a nice one) For the one who wondered if it would be painful to ride... I imagine it will feel very similar to the El Loco coaster design from S&S, which I have not heard any complaints of pain or roughness. (I have yet to have the pleasure of riding one myself living in the Northeast US) With such a large investment coming up, I trust the engineers to create a smooth, enjoyable ride, looking forward to seeing construction whenever that might be. -
Long live the vertical inversion ! I agree RMC is avoiding the vert loop with good reason, and I'm satisfied with the inversions RMC and GG woodies provide. Everyone knows I am a B&M fanboy and one of the things I love most about them is the vertical loops. Banshee and Dominator as well as the Batman clones all have great ones. B&M's most popular new product the wing coaster still offers them. I'm very much looking forward to trying Wild Eagle and Thunderbird and am happy they both have big ol' loops. Mack is growing in popularity and their blue fire rides look like they have great loops on them. With the lack of new Intamins appearing recently I hope to see more of them appear in the US. I think loops will be around as long as roller coasters are, but I see your point, there aren't as many new ones coming out with all the new mutant hybrid creations coming out.

Carowinds Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tarheel, I certainly appreciate the updates as do many of us. With Leviathan being my #1 coaster I am mostly excited about Fury 325 next year. I will be doing a big road trip to hit Rougarou, Thunderbird, Dollywood, Carowinds, Busch and Kings Dominion. Should be an awesome trip and I will certainly get my money's worth out of my Cedar Point platinum pass! -
Crazy Russian Coaster?!?
ECZenith replied to canadianparkfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am not sure of its exact location but judging by its unique track shape I would guess this is a PAX shuttle loop product. If you search for PAX coasters in Russia you may find it. -

I see, I'm glad Bling was kept. So Bling became Sky Jet at Skyline Park. High Energy tours Germany Air tours UK Mechanica looks badass. Air, I think the best looking one with all the "tattoos" High Energy Sky Jet -

A Zierer Star shape! I have always wanted to ride one of these. I see that this is a "special" star shape... Maybe it's going to have a new light/theming package. Did Blackpool's Bling ever find a new home? Could this be it? I know there is one that travels in Germany (the original prototype : High Energy) Are there any other ones in the world? Is there one in the US yet? Being a big fan of Evolution and Too Scan I think I would love this ride. -
9/20/2014 While Evergreen Falls is still far from being called a completed themed area of Adrenaland, it's two signature coasters are now complete! Adrenaland is proud to present to you... Abenaki and EverScream! Abenaki is B&M's most intense coaster to date. With relentless speed and daring maneuvers, your spirit will soar like a great wind. It is important for all of my B&M's to have a unique inversion: Abenaki features a unique pair of inversions called the Tomahawk Throw We hope trim brakes won't need to be added but this loop is being reported to numb the legs of it's riders... Abenaki's elegant 540 helix circles a totem and some mighty pines. Thanks for checking out the photos! More updates soon! EverScream rolls through the first of two inversions. The diving loop leads to the coaster's second tunnel. Airtime is plentiful on EverScream! Our employees were invited to test ride these monsters today! Evergreen Falls is still missing 80% of its rides, but these two coasters from B&M and RMC will fulfill our guests appetite for adrenaline!
