I assure you any properly operating amusement park bases their train count on available crew, "turnstile" count if available (or an obviously long line), maintenance availability of the extra train and are only added by the attractions protocol. At Btmrr we would love getting the call in the tower, I remember those fun days. "Attention on the mountain, mine train entering the circuit from track C, C as in cactus. Please stand clear of track and trackside areas!" Then watching all the guests at the Mexican restaurant get a kick out of empty ghost train rolling feet away from then through the fence. At Disney, we loved having as many EMVs or trains we could, made the day so much more fun for us and our guests. Anyways getting off topic here. I'm now curious as to what Cyclone 2.0 will have for rolling stock. I have never been on an RMC. Do they all have the same train? They all seem to me elaborate to its hard to tell. (Classic cars on NTG, snake on IR, medusa face....)Are they comfortable ? There's no doubt they will be beautiful on the eyes, so far all of their trains have had an awesome look. I can't say enough how much I appreciate finally getting another great coaster in this park. I'm glad to see RMC doing so much business and I really wish them all the best and can't wait to see what else this iron horse track will do in the future for other aging Legends.

I just believe I feel the naming of RMC makeovers of Iron Rattler, New Texas Giant, Medusa Steel Coaster, perhaps it might get a whole new name. Cyclones do not form on the east coast, we get hurricanes and they rotate in the other direction. I've always loved the name but always wondered why many east coasters aren't named after our own storms which are incredibly powerful in this part of the country! Don't get me wrong, love the name a cyclone , and would be pleased with any name as I am incredibly excited about having an RMC beauty an hour from home. I know Hot Dog on Wheels The Ride is reserved for GaDv next year but that hasn't stopped them before !

Storm warnings. Us New Englanders get these quite a bit, I'm loving these recent graphics and massive removals of pieces of the old ride. This is going to be a good one. Is there anyone else who thinks Iron Cyclone or Steel Cyclone may not be the actual name? I'm sure the new name will throwback to a storm theme but maybe something a little more creative? You have been warned.

I agree not every game for coasters needs to be accurate and for the tiny sliver of us who dream of being coaster engineers. No limits , rct 3, and TPS might be more your style. I can't see how a new coaster game could possibly be a dissapointment. This and rct 4 were a nice surprise this morning. Come on now... You know damn well you all secretly crash your rct3 coasters and drown you pandas... I have an Xbox One, love gaming and this is on the list. My PC is for creation, my Xbox to blow stuff up. Both are a great stress reliever after a long day at work dealing with everyone's crap.

In my free time after work I have slowly but surely been chipping away at a completed Adrenaland. We stand at about 10% finished, there is a LOT of work left to be done. The two new coasters I show today are being constructed in tandem for support, detail, and landscaping functionality. I typically would not start more than one coaster at a time, but these two projects need to play nicely together and need to pleasing to the eye. The RMC buzz around my home park's treasured Cyclone coaster got my creative energy flowing and I decided to take a swing at a hybrid wooden coaster project, EverScream. EverScream and it's B&M cousin share a face of the mountain together and its lift hills are side by side. They are two of the new areas ten rides. Abenaki, our B&M inverted coaster was designed, themed and named with the assistance of my beautiful Jessica (girlfriend, best friend, and coaster adventure buddies for life) When finished it will be themed with Native American relics, rushing waterfalls, and dense vegetation as it hugs the terrain of Evergreen Falls. There will also be many hidden easter eggs in the park (especially in this area) Good luck finding them. You will receive no more clues. Obviously, this is not the finished product. EverScream is roughly 20% complete and Abenaki even less complete, lots of support work, landscaping, and other details need to be worked in. Also, I should probably finish the circuits at some point. The finished products will be graceful and pretty. Thank you for looking and remember... NEVER STOP CREATING! EverScream and Abenaki, RMC B&M BFFs. Abenaki dares you to let your spirit soar free... EverScream has darker intentions. It's not just the water that falls on Evergreen Falls. Evergreen Falls graces Mt. Abenaki Please don't tell B&M I am testing her without supports... Or RMC for that matter. Here you can see one of EverScream's three inversions.

I believe this will be the S&S free spin prototype. Most of the other major US parks with Aces up their sleeves have either announced or hinted damn near what they are getting. If SFTT doesn't get it than it must be Hershey. The footprint is large but many times parks clear a spot with more than one attraction in mind, maybe the narrow footed free spin and some new flats to replace the recent losses. As someone who lives far away from this place, I frequent this thread and would love to go to Texas for more than just a layover, SFTT looks like a well run park and I'm happy to see it getting love.

I love it man! Reminds me of the Airlplane, keep her alive! -
Easily was riverside cyclone. Luckily next year it is getting a genuine steel RMC codpiece of epicness. Good luck neutering THAT.

The Seat and restraint look and feel identical to the actual train's. The indicator light always goes off for me saying I can ride. It even feels comfortable in both the test seat and in the train. It seems the computer is telling operators that the bar is not down enough to spatch. The Test seat seems to be too lenient with its light indicator, and the restraints too unforgiving on the actual trains.
-
After Sfne finally let me speak with management they told me the policy was changed where they would assist guests with two attempts and then remove the person. They really only try once and don't care if you tell them you tested the seat three times with NO difficulty. They admit the test seat is useless. Someone in management should be embarrassed this has gone on so long. This was done because trains were constantly stacking. I understand the importance of dispatch times. I worked at Disneyland for 5 years spatching mine trains and jeeps. Both rides accommodated gigantic people. With that being said, about 5 times a day we ran into language barriers, were screamed at by pregnant women who refused to let us lower the bars, etc. We ran 5 trains on two sides, three trains on one. If the trains stacked with one platform , the grouper must run to the empty station and catch the train quickly to avoid a breakdown. With 5 trains on two sides there is no where to catch the mine trains and we break down. I assume if Bizzaro sits too long they experience a possibly similar effect. bizarro would constantly stop on the lift due to this issue which panics your average joe. They could have chosen a better way to fix the issue IMO.

I have no ass to speak of , I think it's the length of my legs that keep the bar from getting to the magic zone. It does have U bars since the accident. I have seen many people squishier but shorter than me ride with no problem. I mean I'm not Michael Jordan , height shouldn't be an issue. I hate to say it bud but if they don't change out those lousy bars you may be out of luck for bizarro. I am able to ride Ka and Toro easily but there's something about Bizzaro. I encourage anyone who has had to walk of shame and you're not even big, to fill out the survey SfNe sends out to pass holders. Tell them everyone should be able to ride. I feel horrible about the accident but I feel it involved way more than manufacturer error. As someone who works with special needs adults for a living, I understand savant strength, and moreso that the poor guy should have never been left alone without his staff. I don't think it's six flags fault for changing the trains, the laws changed after the horrible accident , but there are other methods to try. I feel like if the park is satisfied with turning so many people away then they are on the wrong business. Please fix all the broken and unfair crap before adding more rides. I also can't blame the park for Goliath's new train. Park made effort to replace, premier promised a better train and produced a shaky new train. Get a refund six flags! And I'd rather have ThighCrush restraints on SrOs if I meant I could ride. Please! Please!
-
I feel ya cam. I'm 5'11" and I feel comfortable in the seats with the bar all the way down but they still tell me I can't ride. It actually kind of kills me. It's just confusing. It's not like I'm an Acer, I'm a USMC veteran, I'm in good enough shape to run the grueling confidence course but not small enough for a roller coaster. I miss that patriotic paint scheme, and oh yes, being able to ride it...

You know, I kind of feel bad for some of the staff at SFNE. Some of them really really try hard to please their guests but the 80% who don't give a crap ruin the experience. I wouldn't mind paying top dollar for food if for one, they remember to serve it (it seems twice a season they forget my stuff ) and secondly, not cuss me out when I ask for it 20 minutes later. I feel like staff were so much more polite in the Riverside Days. I have gone from 6 visits a year to my home park to just one to ride whatever new thing they have added. This year was NESS. I used to be able to ride SROS but now my legs don't fit under the new bars. (I am tall and squishy but not big to the point were I should be walk of shamed) I fit on rides big guys usually complain about being tight like El toro and Millennium Force. This alone keeps me and my party from going to the park. Do you know how much it blows to see that Intamin monstrosity there and have to settle for... batman. I love how some of you are like "the restraints are fine..." Not really man... Goliath rattles the hell out of you, HUGE shame, huge dissapointment and even worse than last year. Now that I'm done bitching, here's the positives... And what I WISH the park would do instead of keep plopping rides. For christs sakes let's get Bizzaro back to SROS. I know the t bars are banned but there must be a better way to get around this issue than kick people out of every other train after waiting an hour in the hot sun. If you must keep Bizzaro Bizzare, at least get rid of the dishonest test seat, or give tall guys that need to test a wristband so that when you tell the poor ride ops (who are just doing their jobs, probably get screamed at all day, and are just following a new policy) they don't just assume you are lying. As for cyclone retiring... I totally understand the sentiment of its loss, but picture this: The ride, by it's very unique design, has torn itself to shreds and needed constant and more frequent maintenance than your average coaster. I stopped loving the ride when the drop was ruined. Most people old enough to remember will agree that Cyclone died when Riverside Cyclone did. The park can't let Cyclone rot , the iron horse treatment will bring love back to the North End, and somewhere in that wooden mess I hope the "soul of the ride" returns. The next generation will be riding this long after we are gone, I am happy to see this versus letting it meet the wrecking ball like our other New England wooden coasters. This is a wise choice for once. I never understood their reason for removing rides so often , I mean I can think of a few. I for one am glad they got rid of the racetrack, didn't have a place in a modern amusement park. Why the hell did they get rid of the Ferris wheel? The flume was horrible, short, the water smelled like a port o john and the line was long. Peace out. Shitwreck Falls didn't last long. The water smelled like a port o john with a week old dead animal inside but people gobbled it up on a hot day. I was excited to see Goliath show up but was immediately dissapointed when for one : they kept it neon colors , slapped the generic name on it, and put it in the section of the park Crackaxle Canyon which is otherwise beautiful and full of warm reds, yellows and natural earth tones. Now I wish they just kept the dark boat ride there. That was cool! six Flags, why didn't yall paint Goliath to match Crackaxle? In 10 seconds I can squirt out 10 Better names to match that themed area. Marauder, Rattler, Renegade, Outlaw, Dust Devil, Mirage, Firestorm, Scorpion, Sidewinder, Mr. Six's Snake Oil Shenanigans Express of YOLO. Please fix.

S&S Sansei Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to Coaster Joe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have a strong feeling this coaster will appear at a Six Flags park in Texas next year. -
Hey Jonny, you'll be pleased to know Temple of Poseidon is themed wall to wall inside and out. There are a few more details to add to this Mack Supersplash/Dark Ride hybrid but I will show what we have so far. The adjacent "Riptide" is the park's first coaster and is in fact a B&M wing coaster. Riptide is a redesign from all of my past floorless incarnations with some modern-day twists added in. Here's some facts about Riptide... Engineer: S. Costa/AAI Bolliger and Mabillard "Wing Coaster" (mfg. Monthey Switzerland, mctr. Claremont Steel, OH, USA) First test run 5, August 2015 Results: Excitement: 7.96 (Very High), Intensity 6.99 (High), Nausea: 2.18 (Low) , my most perfected design to date. Max Speed:60 mph Height:135 feet tall Biggest Drop:115 feet "Boardwalk Buster" keyhole drop, first of it's kind. Inversions: (5 Total) Wingover Drop, Zero Gravity Roll, Diving Loop, Vertical Loop, first of it's kind "Sailor's Knot" finale Gravitational Forces: Max +V: 4.84xG, Max -V: -1.73 xG, Max Lat G: 2.97 xG, 12 seconds of "airtime", also known as "moon balls" here in Rhode Island. Enjoy, and thanks for checking out this project years in the making! Overview of Riptide Reef themed zone: Temple of Posidoen (L) and Riptide ® I will peel the roof off of Temple of Poseidon's second show building to offer a little peak, but videos will be available soon for those who might want to see a ride through. I'm no ImaginnerTim but this park is coming along nicely. Currently the view from ToP's platform. Needs a little theming. The big drop, remember, there is still a lot of theming work to be done on the exterior. I wanted to finish off the show scenes and close up the temple. The lift at the end of the ride. The show building is visible from all sides of the park, so it needed to be themed like Poseidon's Temple, ruined by time. The other side of the show building, clearly I was inspired by Sea World Orlando's Journey to Atlantis. All of my special effects still work. Zing. Although Riptide Reef is mostly set around a tropical fishing village ravaged by storms, the western half will be lit by fire only and heavily landscaped. Riptide: I LOVED Gatekeeper. I love B&M. I am in the minority. I do not care, LOVE them. If I were tasked with designing Gatekeeper I would have done something like this: Riptide starts things off with the "boardwalk buster" first drop (crashing through the boardwalk after soaring over the bay upside down) The inversions are low and tight, when B&M still had all their hair, those rides pulled some G's! The Zero-G Roll and Diving Loop, then a twisty trek to the MCBR. Gotta spatch the second train of course... You will get wet on this ride. Let's end it with a g-shredding vertical loop and a never before seen Sailor's Knot. ::throws drumsticks into the crowd:: That's Riptide: Ride for Your Life! More to come... more new rides are already running at Adrenaland, but no peeking until there's more detail.

8/4/2014 Warwick, RI Behind the overgrown gates of the former Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI, a mysterious entrepreneur has been hard at work with hundreds of construction workers, engineers, and lawyers barely stopping to take a breath. Citizens of the Warwick Neck community were upset to see their newly opened walking path closed due to nearby construction. Adrenaland Amusements Inc. has issued a statement, keeping many juicy details privy for next year's debut: "Adrenaland will take us back to the old Rocky Point Park site in ways never before dreamed of. What Rocky Point failed to do was keep up with the times, and we have the necessary investors and engineers to bring a true theme park to the shores of Rhode Island. New themed areas will grace the dormant grounds, while keeping a touch of Rocky Point's shore vacation experience alive for a new generation." AAI went on to comment that the park has taken some of Rocky Point's classic rides like the House of Horror and Corkscrew into account with designing new rides. "We wanted it to feel like Rocky Point, but pushed to a new level." Apparently, the park's yet to be revealed logo will even feature the park's famous archway icon to serve as the 'A' in Adrenaland. While details have been scarce, AAI has trademarked many interesting sounding names for its scream machines. I will be among the thousands looking forward to finding out exactly what "Riptide" or "Temple of Poseidon" could be when the park opens in Spring of 2015. "We are going with big name amusement providers for our theme park attractions. Bolliger and Mabillard of Monthey, Switzerland have designed several of the park's coasters in Europe, but track was discreetly shipped in this past May from a facility in Ohio where it was manufactured. We are also proud to say we have one of coaster legend: Werner Stengel's retirement designs on hand and will be building it with Intamin designed track and rolling stock." When asked for further comment, AAI assured us there is more on the way. A view from the walking path before it was closed to the public this July. /\ for Adrenaland. The sun sets on Rocky Point, former fun Mecca for New England. They have sat closed since 1995, 15 years later, new gates will open. Mr. Costa of AAI assures us classics like the House of Horror will be rebuilt in new ways with elaborate theming and high tech entertainment systems. Rumor has it Six Flags New England is announcing its largest investment to date on August 26th, a coaster built to compete with Adrenaland's screaming skyline of wood and steel. Through the trees: A coaster fan shutterbug was able to snap a shot of evening testing on two of the park's big new rides! Apparently, this is the Temple of Poseidon built by Mack of Germany. What appears to be a Bolliger and Mabillard coaster now sits atop the rock wall where the old Shore Dinner Hall once occupied.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hope it gets that green paint. Even if the name stays Mantis, the green would work better with a theme of a green insect, moreso than the use of all three primary colors. Could our photoshop pros indulge my desire to see a green Mantis with grey supports? The grey is the color I was questioning. (If it looks like primer paint) I would love that shade of green MUCH better than the red blue and yellow. The green would work nicely there, very Rogouruish. The current color sheme resembles the Mantis Shrimp, which is every color Crayola could dream of. A mantis is green, damnit. When Mantis was new and shiny. I always thought the colors were a little wild for such a beautiful part of the park. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I apologize if this is being discussed behind the sky hawk accident pages. The green paint on Mantis: the silver color above it, is that the typical primer color used on a coaster or is it likely a demonstrative color for a new paint scheme? (Or even a paint scheme for a new ride and the park wanted to see what it looked like? I have no idea why that little segment is green but other forums are abuzz with the return of the floor less train rumors. I personally think we might be looking at a new name, theme, and maybe some newer trains (like Georgia scorchers) which I found more comfortable. I have a feeling this may be what becomes Rougarou. I never cared for Mantis' name or color scheme, and while the ride isn't the smoothest I do enjoy it and would love to see it spruced up. For those who are good with physics, is putting a train with Lower seats (like a floor less) even possible for a circuit designed with heart lining of a standing coaster? I dare not speculate on Mantis floor less trains as I know it's been a rumor sice floor less coasters first came out. -

ECZenith replied to ECZenith's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I'm laying track today making sure everything is even. Train moves up nicely when pushed, I'm hoping to get the motor and chain within a couple weeks. All the track is being set up for a mockup but it will be all removed so the supports can be painted.
